The Girl Who Reincarnated as a Vampire Heiress

Chapter 37

Chapter 37

The No.1 Military Academy had a weekly holiday, allowing the students to leave the campus and enjoy themselves on this secluded island.

Daniel's suggestion was quite good, and Chloe didn't want to stay at school during the rare vacation, so she gladly agreed.

When the holiday arrived, Chloe changed into casual clothes and walked out of the campus with Anderson, followed by Qin Huaibei and Daniel.

While the No.1 Military Academy had strict rules, the atmosphere on the island was completely different.

The island residents had cheerful personalities, and there were many street vendors selling local island delicacies.

After strolling for a while, Chloe's mouth watered at the sight of coconut chicken, and she couldn't resist.

She checked her pocket.

To her dismay, she didn't have a single coin.

Without even turning her head, Chloe lightly tapped Anderson's arm, and he took out money from his pocket to hand it to the vendor.

The coconut chicken tasted delicious. Chloe took a bite and her eyes lit up. She looked at Qin Huaibei and Daniel and asked,

"Do you want to eat?"

They glanced at the price of the coconut chicken and firmly shook their heads.

The Human Race always valued the virtues of hard work and endurance. After Qin Huaibei arrived at the No.1 Military Academy, his parents didn't give him enough money to squander outside.

But it was different for the Werewolf Race. They didn't have any money in their entire territory and were the poorest among the four races on the continent.

Chloe felt it would be impolite to enjoy such delicious food alone, so she looked up at Anderson and asked,

"How much money did you bring?"

Anderson lowered his gaze and said, "Use as much as you want."

The Vampire Race was never short of money.

Satisfied with his answer, Chloe nodded and proudly declared to the other two, "Chloe will foot the bill for today's expenses."

Upon hearing this, Daniel was pleasantly surprised, "Ah? How can that be?"

Then he quickly took the coconut chicken from the vendor.

Qin Huaibei did feel a bit embarrassed, but after he received the coconut chicken, he followed Chloe for a long time.

Seeing Anderson skillfully taking out money to pay, his pocket seemed like a bottomless pit that never ran dry.

After a moment of silence, he pointed to a puzzle toy and said, "I want this."

Without waiting for Chloe to respond, Anderson walked over, took the puzzle down, and paid at the counter.

Qin Huaibei: "..."

The wicked rich.

Chloe had no concept of money. In the post-apocalyptic world, everyone was focused on struggling for survival, and money was basically useless. After arriving here, the Vampire Royal Family had no shortage of money.

Chloe spent money like water, and Qin Huaibei and Daniel took advantage of her generosity, spending even more with a strange resentment towards the wealthy.

The island was vast, and after they finished exploring the streets, the four of them headed to the beach.

The Vampire Race and the Werewolf Race didn't have territories near the sea, so this was their first real time playing by the seaside.

The island didn't have a specific name, and whenever anyone mentioned it, their first reaction was that it was where the No.1 Military Academy was located.

The reputation of the military academy is well-known, so it's no wonder that this island rarely sees any tourists from other places. Therefore, it's likely that no one knows about the truly beautiful beaches here.

The sand on the beach is pure white and soft, making it incredibly comfortable to walk on barefoot.

As Chloe ran ahead, she kicked off her canvas shoes, and Anderson dutifully carried them while following behind her.

She was always full of energy, and Daniel was no different. The two of them played on the beach, kicking sand and collecting seashells.

Qin Huaibei, on the other hand, remained quiet. He sat on a small bench by the shore, with Anderson next to him.

To be honest, he was always curious about Anderson.

This blond-haired and green-eyed young man had a decent appearance and even stronger abilities, but for some reason, it seemed like everyone deliberately ignored him.

Yet, he didn't seem to mind at all. He stayed by Chloe's side every day, silently serving her without initiating conversations.

With these thoughts in mind, Qin Huaibei's expression became a bit complicated, and he gathered the courage to ask, "Don't you want to play with them?"

Upon hearing his voice, Anderson appeared somewhat surprised.

He lowered his gaze to Qin Huaibei by his side, but only glanced at him briefly. Then, as if he had noticed something unimportant, he quickly averted his eyes.

His eyes clearly conveyed the message, "I'm not interested."

Qin Huaibei: "..."

Fine, so besides Chloe, you won't pay attention to anyone else, huh?

He didn't want to bother anymore and started playing with the jigsaw puzzle he had just bought, alone on the beach.

Then he remembered that Anderson had paid for the puzzle, and suddenly, even solving the puzzle felt uninteresting.

Meanwhile, Chloe bent down and picked up a shiny pink seashell. Finding it quite fascinating, she handed it to Daniel to see.

Daniel, feeling challenged, said, "Just you wait, I'm sure I can find an even prettier one."

Chloe: "...I don't recall us being in a competition. I just wanted you to appreciate it."

Daniel raised his chin and retorted, "Who says you can tell me what to do? I do as I please."

He then squatted down and started digging in the sand, attempting to uncover buried seashells.

Chloe couldn't be bothered with him and ran to show the seashell to Anderson.

"Is it pretty?"

With those words, a pile of seashells fell into Anderson's arms.

Previously, Anderson had a cool and aloof demeanor, but now his gaze softened. He skillfully found the pink seashell that Chloe liked the most and smiled, saying, "They're all beautiful, especially this one."

Chloe felt proud and said, "You really have an eye for it."

She stuffed the seashell into Anderson's pocket and said, "You hold onto them for me. I want to use these for crafts when we get back."

In reality, she had no clue how to do crafts.

Chloe was skilled with guns and knives, but if she had to handle scissors and glue for delicate cutting, she would probably end up cutting her own fingers. In the end, it was always Anderson who had to clean up the mess.

But she simply enjoyed the feeling of doing crafts, despite not being good at them.

Chloe had a strong desire to try new things.

Qin Huaibei cautiously observed them for a while and glanced at the jigsaw puzzle, feeling that he might as well go and play with that foolish Daniel.

Just as he was about to get up, the sound of a ship's whistle suddenly came from the nearby sea.

Chloe's ears twitched, and she turned around.

On the vast expanse of the sea, a faint black dot appeared, rapidly moving forward at an incredible speed, gradually revealing its true appearance.

It was a massive ship, adorned with luxury decorations. There should be gun ports inside the cabin. With its blue and white color scheme, it looked extremely majestic.

The direction in which the ship was about to dock happened to be where Daniel was picking up seashells. Chloe called out to him.

Daniel looked up in confusion and saw the approaching ship head-on.

By now, they were very close, and Daniel could only see the dark silhouette of the ship.

He hurriedly ran back with the seashells in his arms and couldn't help but curse:

"Where did this steel monster come from? Scared the hell out of me."
