"So, you came running with your lungs in pain because you saw me from the window?" Atlas asked, his hand still on his forehead.
Both of them were now at John's patient room. John is on his bed and Atlas sitting on the chair right beside him. He had to face an hour of ordeal just to convince him that he wouldn't file any complaint to her sister. it had gone to a point where he even insisted to make himself the culprit. He had thought his sister was hard to manage but her brother took the cake for now.
Atlas looked at John, his eyes a bit wet from joy after hearing the mission was finally complete.
"I will have to thank Amelia sis as well, she came all the way here just to heal me and help on the mission, even though she was busy in her country."
Atlas became curious and pulled his chair a bit closer to the bed.
"So you also knew the Saintess herself, I applaud you having such connections."
"No, No. my sister and she are old friends. Soso I also knew her through her."
"Hmm"
'So they both go wayyy back, I guess I wasn't even born then.'
"So, how are you feeling now?"
John gazed down, looking at his own chest. The white light glowing every time he took in some air.
"I'm ok for now, I guess. Amelia sis helped out today with her wis..sorry, th.e medicine is kicking infeeling sleepy.
Zzz"
Atlas wanted to ask more about Amelia's past but the slumbering John couldn't help much any longer.
'Well, it's now easier for me to check him I guess.'
With his eyes shining in gold, with a bit of different luster, like white stars clustering together. If he didn't have his mask, covering his eyes. His mesmerizing and beautiful eyes would have been more enthralling than the same.

Natural ability: Shadow jump, Silent steps, one hit blade.
Emotion: Relived, guilt.
Description: John, Brother of Lily. A well-known assassin known for his ruthless killings. Executioner of many kings and queens who were deemed unjust. Now affected with stage three cancer in lungs, life expectancy minimum.
Blessed by the mother goddess, life expectancy further increased.]
'Half-elf?...well that's unexpected. Does he know? hmm..now Looking at his ear, they are a bit sharp, aren't they? a half-elf huh..wow From their earlier behavior, I don't think they know. The Elf blood is too thin to be known I guess.
I will get to that later, first I need to properly know his condition first.'
He activated his observation mode on Eyes of Eternal. The sparkling stars within his golden pupil spreading all around.
He looked within, his body full of muscles coming into view. He again zoomed inside, the bones and the organs now visible to him.
The beating heart, the twitching muscles, his contracting and enlarging lungs, his blood flow. He could see everything with his now improved eyes. He focused on his lungs which were shining white every second he took in some air.
"Oh, there it is...looks nasty, three, no four tumors. And some are even eight to ten centimeters. Two at top of the right and two at the bottom left. Is he really going to survive this?
If it was earth, for a second stage cancer, surgery could help but this world ain't that and he already reached stage three from the looks of it.
No doctors here who are experts on dissecting things, only healers, using their healing powers which I don't have much knowledge of.
Hmm..."
He was confused about what to do. Yes, he just met John like twelve hours ago but for him, he seems like a nice guy and good people are rare in these times. Times where strength means all.
He laid back for a second. Leaning on his chair. Thinking, if he could do something to help.
"System..can I somehow help him with any of my power?"

"Oh, you are here?"
From his back, a familiar kind voice echoed out, pleasing his ears. He was already aware she had arrived half a minute ago with all the noise his sharp ears were hearing.
The excitement and surprise of all the people inside the healing center, welcoming their respectful head.
"Quite an entrance." Atlas said.
Lily came rushing to her brother with a small wooden case in hand. She wanted to shout out to him that they finally did it. The blue dime was finally at hand but looking at her brother silently sleeping. The words only got stuck in her throat.
She felt a hand at her shoulder, who was none other than the masked rookie.
"Don't worry, I told him everything, he cried with excitement complementing you. You really have a good brother."
Hearing about his brother, A drop of tear was going to fall from her eyes but she controlled it at the last second.
"Humph. I'm his big sister, of course, he needs to compliment me every time," she said with the usual smugness.
Atlas was surprised that she could still keep her attitude but he knew she cared, as a sister, as a family.
'...She must be one of those tsunderes perhaps.' He thought.
He gazed at Lily's hand, gazing past through the wooden suitcase, the glowing vile of blue liquid coming into view. Without any further ado, his 'Eyes of Eternal' analyzed the liquid with the help of the system.

'Hmm..I guess I can't get a piece that easily.'
Amelia saw him staring at the box in curiosity. A small smile appearing at the end of her lips. She walked near, taking the wooden case from lily's hands.
"Lily, we need to use this quick. The Goddess's blessing won't last long. I can already see the blessing disappearing away."
She took out the vile, panning half of the room on blue. The shine blinding all of their eyes.
Without minding the eye-blinding light, lily came near, slowly taking the opened vile from her hands.
"You are right, we were struggling for months..just for this moment. John, don't worry now, you will finally be ok." She said, bringing the vile closer to his lips. The lead was already opened by the Saintess.
The vile touched John's lips. The blue shining liquid, flowing down his mouth. The blue light still glowed, the hue still shining from the inside of his throat to his chest and his stomach and gradually spreading all around his body.
The blessing was already gone but John's breathing gradually calmed down as his whole body was giving out a dim blue light.
With time, his breathing became normal, like how a normal person would breathe.
"It worked, Amelia look! It worked!!"
The excitement was clearly to be seen. gone.
She walked near his bed, her previous worries all gone.
She walked near his bed, the tears of joy which she stopped before couldn't be helmed, flowing down like a waterfall. The pressure she felt, the guilt, the knowledge that his brother could die any moment, all gone.
She walked near his bed, falling on her knees. Her legs gave out, looking at her brother was now finally ok. Why wouldn't she? Days of being with him, watching him grow weaker and weaker every day. She felt her heart was slowly breaking, losing another family member, but still, she didn't show any of those emotions. Treating him like usual or even harsher.
She took his hand with her own, gradually gripping it tightly. She wanted to say it now that they did it, her gaze now upon his face.
As she faced him, Her pupil contracted at that moment. Her eyes slowly following the drop of blood falling from John's lips. The loose grip from him suddenly became tight, even hurting her own hand, and with came.
"haaaaaaa!!!!!! It hurts!!!! Sis!! Sis..it hurts!!!!!it hurts soooo much!!!! Help!!!!...make it stop!!!!..oooohhh!!!!"
The struggle and shouts of hellish pain.
