Chapter 213: Excited!
Chapter 213: Excited!
"Well, don't worry, my dear John. We'll find the culprit behind this incident and give him the apt punishment." Lonappan promised.
"Yea, yea We'll do that." Thankappan nodded his head along to Lonappan's obvious lie.
"Cool, thanks. I appreciate it." John gave out a really faint smile, without realising that the one who got him to the state was standing right before him.
"Yea, no worries. Tend to your injuries for now. I'll look into where this culprit is." Lonappan spoke as he left John's side. Seeing that, Thankappan swiftly followed him as well.
"So, you got your answer now?" Lonappan asked once they got a safe distance from John.
"It's the only way, huh?" Thankappan mumbled as he walked side-by-side with his senior.
"The only peaceful way." Lonappan corrected.
"Still pretty risky stuff though. What if John was faking his actions to lessen your suspicions of him?" Thankappan asked.
"That's a possibility, sure. However, it's a risk I'm willing to take. Let's just say that." Lonappan reply.
"That will be a huge risk though." Thankappan warned.
"I'm aware of that as well." Lonappan replied as he nodded his head.
"Very well, it's really a trivial thing, though. You didn't have to go that far." Thankappan spoke.
"You truly lack experience in our field, huh No worries. You'll understand it someday." Lonappan replied as he patted on his junior's shoulder.
"You could just say what you mean by that right now without having to put it that vaguely." Thankappan spoke.

"Nah, kiddo. You should learn it along the way. It's all about the experience." Lonappan flashed a smile as he slowly walked away from his junior.
"This guy!" Thankappan sighed at his senior's remark. "I really don't get the point behind certain things he say." He mumbled
"Hey, Thankappan!" Someone screamed in the background which made the MIB agent look around for the culprit behind the voice. And it wasn't much of a surprise to see Taro running towards him right then.
"Hello, Taro. How are you doing?" Thankappan asked.
"Depending upon the type of news you are gonna give, I might be doing extremely well or extremely worse." Taro replied.
"Hmm, didn't you say that you would be fine with whatever the decision is gonna be?" The MIB agent asked.
"Well, you see. That's what I initially thought. However, it seems I'm a bit too greedy. So, if it's a bad news, just spout it out so that I could break some buildings." Taro spoke as he smacked his fist on his palm.
"Then what are you gonna do if the news is actually good?" Thankappan posed the question before the Wadorian.
"Then I'll go for an origami class, I guess." Taro replied.
"Huh, interesting. Why origami though? I don't get that part at all." Thankappan spoke.
"I've been super into origami these days for some reason. Like the paper cranes and such. I wanna do something like that someday, so it might as well be today." Taro shrugged.
"Is it the Japanese culture that brought you to that?" Thankappan asked.
"Nah, it's simply my love for origami. And Japanese culture fanatic spot is already taken by Gibli. So, I'm simply the origami fanatic." Taro shrugged.
"Great! He doesn't remember about the other thing." Thankappan mumbled with a smile on his face.
"Huh? Did you say something?" Taro asked.
"Oh, come on! So you're telling me that with your super hearing and all you failed to hear what I just said?" Thankappan asked.
"Not really. I just don't get the context behind what you said." Taro replied.
"Ah, is that so? That's fine." Thankappan spoke.
"Well That's not fine by me though! What are you hiding from me?" Taro asked.
"This world is an imaginary one that's brewing inside the mind of some crazy ass chimpanzee. You believe that?" Thankappan asked.
Taro stood still for a while looking as if he was seriously contemplating before giving out an answer. However, within just a few seconds, he broke into a fit of laughter.
"Haha! You're quite funny, you know that?" The Wadorian asked as he patted on the MIB agent's shoulder and continued laughing.
"Fine! Don't believe me then. But don't come back running to me when you learn that it is the truth." Thankappan pouted as he walked away.
"Really, you'd do really well as the straight faced guy in those comedy movies who does the most outrageous comedy with little to no expression." Taro spoke as he grabbed the leaving Thankappan by his collar. "Where do you think you're going?" He asked.
"Well, it's not like I have something important to do here." Thankappan replied.
"Seems like you forgot it. We were talking about the request I made." Taro reminded the MIB agent.
"Oh, yea. I'm not kidding when I say this, but I totally forgot about it. I mean, the flow of the conversation went to an entirely different direction that I forgot about it altogether." Thankappan spoke.
"I see. Then you won't have any problem with talking about it right now, do you?" Taro asked.
"Nah, Ponnappan approved your request. And we made sure that your friend won't have any sort of difficulties living here." Thankappan replied.
"Really?" A bright smile spread through the Wadorian's face as he heard of the news. It was truly a moment for him to celebrate.
"Yup. We thought why the hell not! At least, I believe that's what our commanding officer thought." Thankappan spoke.
"You know Well, I believe you do know this, but I used to hate your commanding officer's guts when I got stuck at this hell hole. However, I feel like he's changed a lot ever since then and that makes me happy. I feel like I can vibe with Ponnappan now." Taro replied.
"You really think that the entirety of our base would flock under him for no reason. He might talk and walk like an asshole sometimes, but he's really good when we get to know him. Like, if you want an example of a team player, he's literally it and I'm not even kidding about it." Thankappan spoke.
"Yea, that's like the first thing that I hear from you lot when I ask about him. The aliens used to have a different opinion though." Taro replied back.
"Of course, they will have a differing opinion. I mean, Ponnappan can't act the same way to you guys, the ones whom he met for the first time and have no idea about the danger they possess, like he does with us, right? That would be utterly pointless, wouldn't it? He'd lose all his credibility if he's to get friendly with every single one of you. Like, some of you might take his friendliness for granted." Thankappan sighed.
"Yea, I guess that would be the case." Taro nodded his head along to that.
"But it's not like he hasn't vibed with any of the aliens either. Case on point, Ajish. Both of them synced perfectly ever since the moment they met each other. And that led to the business partnership they built up with the spare parts shop." Thankappan explained.
"Hmm, not that big of a venture, but that's supposed to be the ammo of an alien hideout in plain sight." Taro replied, before trying to make sense of what he said.
"Yea. Anyhow, I'm done with what I wanted to say. Ponnappan is pretty chill guy and he's the one who's fine with whatever shit you guys do. And I told you about your request as well, so I'm just gonna scoot at this point." Thankappan waved his hand and moved away
or at least that's what Taro thought that happened. However, Thankappan was still beside him and he didn't know the reason behind the MIB agent's actions.
"Why are you still here?" An annoyed Taro asked.
"Well, I was indeed thinking of getting the fuck away from here. However, as long as you have me on your grasp, I'm meant to get stuck here. Like, it's better to push a rock than to push you away." Thankappan sighed.
"Oh, sorry. My bad then." Taro apologised as he let the MIB agent off his clutches.
"Nah, it's fine. I oughta go now. Bye." Thankappan waved his hand goodbye as he left the fields.
After Thankappan left, Taro wasted no time and headed towards his best friend.
"You heard the news?" Taro asked the moment he found Park.
"Well, I'll know nothing as long as you don't say it. So, go on. What is it?" Park asked.
"You're gonna be living in the Holy Land from now on!" Taro said excitedly.
"Wait a minute right there. Does that mean I wasn't gonna do that until now?" Park asked.
"It wasn't confirmed until right now. They were actually planning to send you to Aluva, a place that's quite easy to reach yet far from here." Taro replied honestly.
"So, what were those words you said when you invited me here-" Seeing Park get a bit iffy about it, Taro decided to quickly interfere.
"The main thing here is that we'll be living together from now on! Exciting, isn't it?" Taro asked as he shook his friend in excitement.
