The Main Character is the Villain

Chapter 4:

EP 4 - Aira Gets F*cked At The End(3)

Lucius' position is a Southern High Priest.

Not an inquisitor, paladin, or battle priest, but a high priest.

What is a high priest? In [Heroine Legend], Lucius' role as a high priest was not well portrayed because he just breaks monsters' skulls with a mace. However, a regional high priest wields absolute power within their jurisdiction among the followers.

He holds the authority over the appointment and transfer of priests and nuns, and also have the power to mediate complaints and disputes raised by them. To put it bluntly, if he didn’t care about the aftermath, he could sleep with every nun in the southern region.

Why am I bringing this up?

Because using this power makes it incredibly easy to block that dirty NTR scenario. The day after I carried out the appropriate ‘punishment’ to Aira, I used the power of the Southern High Priest to summon Sieri to my domain.

Name: Sieri

Job: Nun affiliated with the Southern Branch of the Great Celestial Church

Favorability: 78

Level: 10

Stats

Strength: 5

Agility: 10

Intelligence: 24

Traits

Skilled Accountant

A talented individual who has managed the finances of an organization for a long time. Organizes the estate's finances more efficiently.

Woodworking

Can create tools using wood.

Naivety

Having devoted herself to religion, she still knows nothing.

Walk her through step by step.

Sieri’s stats were much better than expected. Managing the branch’s finances and household account alone, it was expected that she would have the accountant trait. However, she also unexpectedly had a woodworking trait and the naivety trait, which can only be described as s†upid.

Moreover, her favorability for me was over 70. I still don't know what's the maximum favorability in this game yet, but if a childhood friend character has 78, it’s likely 100 was the maximum.

“Ah, greetings, My Lord...”

Sieri hesitated, bowing her head in greeting. As she slightly lifted the hem of her skirt, her white ankles were revealed. When she bowed her head, her neatly grown orange hair cascaded down like a waterfall. I wanted to bury my face in her lustrous hair, but I had to restrain myself for now. Sitting like a lord, I began to admire Sieri's face.

Seeing Sieri for the first time since the NTR development in the game, she was truly a beautiful girl. Her large green eyes evoked a protective instinct, and her delicate features seemed to plead innocence, ‘I don't know anything.’

Although her chest was a bit small, it was only small compared to a cow like Aira. She was about the size of an average adult woman. I didn't know about her butt yet since I hadn't seen them bare. But the nuns' skirts were quite billowy, making her look like a fashion model for a hip photo shoot.

“Nice to meet you, Sieri. Have you been doing well?”

“Ah... well... yes...”

Sieri nodded hesitantly. She was lying; she couldn’t have been doing well. Her territory's lord kept pestering her, her family was buried in debt that couldn’t be paid off with a nun’s salary, and the church itself was struggling financially due to a lack of donations. With the main branch of the Southern Great Celestial Church right next door, donations didn’t flow into Sieri’s territory's church.

The wealthy sent their donations directly to the Southern Great Celestial Church branch where I served as high priest, trying to gain my favor. The poor couldn’t donate much, and even when they did, it wasn’t substantial.

I could solve both the donation issue and Sieri’s debt problem. First, I planned to transfer Sieri to my mansion. With the estate suffering from financial difficulties and having reduced staff significantly, there were many empty rooms in the mansion. It would be easy to feed and house one Sieri.

Since Sieri's family originally lived by farming, I could just give them a bit of land. Their debt, though significant for commoners, was trivial from the estate’s perspective.

“Actually, I was planning to transfer Sieri.”

“Transfer... me?”

“Yes. You can move to our territory with your family.”

“I would need permission from the lord first...”

“It’s the High Priest's order, that would be unnecessary. Sieri, I’ll send someone to your family, so stay here from today.”

There really was no need. The lord couldn’t interfere with the high priest’s personnel transfers. That's why the lord hadn’t directly touched Sieri before getting permission for marriage. You're legally doomed if you touched an unmarried nun.

"Yes? No, if you do that suddenly... Besides, there’s no one else in the church who'll handle accounting.”

Nonsense. In that large church, only Sieri knew how to do accounting? Looking at the personnel transfer records, Sieri had only been there for about three years. Before her, someone else must have been in charge. They can figure that out. If it's really too difficult, they could just request an accountant from the central headquarters. No matter which way you look at it, if an accountant was needed, there was no reason for Sieri to be needed in that territory.

I stood up and gently placed a hand on Sieri’s shoulder. I felt her flinch and shrink away.

“Sieri, the lord over there has been bothering you a lot, hasn't he?”

“Pardon? T-that’s...”

No matter how innocent Sieri seemed, she knew enough about the world. She was probably worried that a wrong word here could bring trouble. Even though we were childhood friends, we're currently in a high priest-nun relationship and neighbors in adjacent estates. Since every word could easily become gossip, Sieri had to be cautious.

“I know everything, Sieri. I’m here to save you, don’t worry.”

“S-save me?”

Sieri's shoulders were so delicate they seemed like they could break with just a little pressure. Gripping those shoulders while pounding her would probably feel amazing. When her skirt brushed against my clothes, it made a weird sound. I carefully removed my hand from her shoulder and stepped back.

The scent of the Great Celestial Church perfume worn by nuns made me feel dazed. Nodding, I said.

“I want you to help me with my work, Sieri.”

“Help with your work? I’m not that capable of a person....”

Sieri shook her head and politely declined. Each time she did, her skirt swayed, making me think I might develop a fetish for Great Celestial Church nuns. I felt an urge to lift her skirt that reached down to her ankles.

“The truth is, I don’t have anyone to handle accounting in my estate right now. I’d like you to take on that role, Sieri. The affairs of my estate are closely tied to the church's business, so I can’t entrust it to an outside accountant.”

“Ah… yes. Alright.”

Sieri reluctantly nodded in agreement to my persuasion. It was indeed a matter that couldn't be helped. If she had any complaints, her only option would be to become the high priest herself.

“And Sieri.”

“Yes, My Lord.”

“Lucius. Can you call me that? Just like the old times.”

“Yes?”

Sieri stumbled backward, flustered. After a moment of contemplation, she shook her bright red face and replied.

“Oh, no! I can’t commit such blasphemy…”

“Alright. If you ever feel like calling me that later, please don't hesitate, Sieri. I’ll be waiting.”

“Yes…”

Sieri nodded, her face turning bright red. It was a bit of a problem that this world didn't display changes in favorability on a status window, but judging by Sieri’s status, I had a rough guess.

Name: Sieri

Job: Nun of the Southern Branch of the Great Celestial Church

Favorability: 82

It seemed like I could make her fall for me quite easily.

And then the next day, there was a commotion at the front gate. I went downstairs to the first floor to check if by any chance Aira had bitten her tongue. Someone seemed to have died at the gate. In the yard, the body was covered with a cloth and handed over to the family.

I asked.

“Robin, someone died?”

“Yes. It was Karl, the warehouse thief. This morning, I slapped him a few times to interrogate him, but he didn’t wake up. So I checked his pulse and found he was already dead. We’re now handing him over to his family.”

It seemed that he killed the bastard after repeatedly smashing his head against the stairs. From Robin’s perspective, Karl died early this morning, but to me, it was clear that he was already dead when Robin dragged him to the basement. Poor Karl. I mourned his death silently.

“Have you explained the circumstances of his death to his family?”

“Not yet. I haven’t explained it...”

“Tell them he died while we were subduing him during his attempted warehouse theft.”

Saying he was repeatedly bashed against the stairs might be too much.

“Yes, understood.”

I instructed Robin on how to handle the situation and turned away. I needed to check on Aira in the basement to see if she had bitten her tongue or hanged herself.

But seeing that Robin, who visited the dungeon at dawn, hadn't said anything, it seemed she was still alive.

When I opened the door to the dungeon, I was greeted by the musty smell of moss and the damp air. The stone walls of the dungeon were covered with much moss and mold, that it felt like you'll contract every disease in the world just by touching them.

Aira was confined in the far corner of the dungeon. Chained by her ankles, she simply looked at the floor with a resigned expression.

“Are you reflecting on your actions, Aira?”

Aira didn’t respond and kept her eyes on the floor. Was she pretending to be crazy to gain my sympathy? I checked Aira’s status window.

Skilled Thief

Imprisoned

Currently restrained and detained, resulting in stat penalties.

She can even act as a ‘madman’. It was definitely a great talent. If I could somehow persuade her, she might be useful as a spy. But she would surely continue pretending to be insane no matter what I said, so I decided to leave her alone for now.

When I went up to the first floor, there were large wagons waiting in front of the gate. I knew what those wagons were. They belonged to the tenant farmers who paid rent and farmed the land in this territory.

Come to think of it, I need to deal with those bastards too.
