Chapter 6: The Agent He Gradually Wrong (5)
Chapter 6
Yin Zhizhi took the contract and sat down on the side, slowly reading through it.
Agents usually help artists review the contracts, and in many cases, agents would sign on their behalf.
However, since Ji Huan and Yin Zhizhi had just started working together, Ji Huan didn't sign for her. Instead, he solemnly called her over and asked her to review the contract herself.
Yin Zhizhi lowered her head and read the contract, her exquisite little egg-like face full of seriousness.
From this angle, Ji Huan could see her fair nape exposed as she tilted her head down.
It seemed that the past few days of exercise had paid off.
Ji Huan averted his gaze.
"I've finished reading it. There are no issues."
Ji Huan opened the drawer, took out a pen, and handed it to her. "If there's no problem, go ahead and sign."
Yin Zhizhi elegantly signed her name on the contract.
Ji Huan put the contract away. "We'll depart for S City for filming the day after tomorrow. I'll accompany you."
"You're going too?"
"For now, you're the only artist I'm managing. I can't fully trust you yet," Ji Huan spoke frankly.
The company wanted to groom Yin Zhizhi into a superstar, so Ji Huan couldn't let his guard down. He had to keep an eye on her.

"That's troublesome for you."
"You still have time to train today and tomorrow. Reduce your food intake by half during these two days."
Yin Zhizhi's face immediately fell.
Ji Huan said, "This is your first time in front of the camera after more than a year. You must look your absolute best. The remaining weight is just a few pounds. Once you lose it, you just need to maintain it."
"Oh."
She lowered her long eyelashes, looking a little reluctant and aggrieved, but still obedient.
"Do you want to act in a drama?"
"Yes, I really do, but I'll be picky about the script."
Ji Huan nodded. "I'll keep an eye out for suitable dramas. Since word has gotten out that you've returned to the country, some directors have brought their scripts to me. I've taken a look, but none of them were quite satisfactory."
"I trust your judgment. You can choose for me." Yin Zhizhi propped her palm-sized face on Ji Huan's desk, making her face appear even smaller.
For a moment, Ji Huan felt that maybe she didn't need to lose weight after all.
"The scripts I pick for you might not be easy."
"It's fine. I'm here to work, not to enjoy myself."
Ji Huan looked up. "It's good that you have that mindset. I'll keep an eye out for good scripts. Since you haven't acted in a year, is your acting still up to par?"
"I think it's pretty good."
Ji Huan didn't quite believe her. As her agent, he needed to understand his artist's abilities in all aspects. "Why don't you give an impromptu performance for me to see?"
Yin Zhizhi was stunned for a second, then smiled. "Okay."
Her eyes flickered, as if she had already thought of what to perform.
Her expressions were lively. Ji Huan leaned back in his chair, somewhat eager to see her performance.
The young lady in front of him remained in her chin-propping pose, but leaned closer. With pleading eyes, she said in a whiny voice, "Honey, when will you be off work? You promised we'd have dinner together tonight, but when will you be done working?"
Ji Huan's gaze sharpened, and he frowned slightly.
She continued, "I missed you so much that I came early. There are only ten minutes left. After ten minutes, you have to go out for dinner with me, no matter what."
Ji Huan realized she was portraying someone waiting for her husband to get off work. With her loving and expectant gaze and her whiny tone, which husband could refuse such a wife?
"Honey, why are you looking at me like that?"
"...That's enough." Ji Huan interrupted her performance.
The bashful, whiny wife from a second ago instantly transformed back into a confident young lady. Yin Zhizhi looked at him eagerly. "My acting skills haven't deteriorated, have they?"
"It was decent."
"Agent Ji, just decent? Didn't I leave you in awe? You were staring at me in a daze just now."
Ji Huan averted his gaze and said calmly, "Your acting is good, but not awe-inspiring. Don't be too arrogant. It's fine, I have a general idea of your abilities now and the types of roles you should play. I'll look for suitable scripts based on your abilities and image."
Is he trying to change the subject?
Alright, Yin Zhizhi stood up. "Then I'll leave it to you. I'll head back now."
"Mm."
Yin Zhizhi left in high spirits, laughing out loud without restraint once she was out of the office.
The office door was left open, and Ji Huan heard her laughter. With an unreadable expression, he got up to close the door.
"You should close the door when going in and out. It's rude not to."
