Chapter 137: Crimson Mirror Ruins

Chapter 137: Crimson Mirror Ruins

As soon as Heinald stepped into the semi-circle formation entrance, he destroyed the creatures that attacked him as in the previous process.

After destroying these creatures, a door appeared on the opposite wall. As it is known, this door led directly to the entrance of his formation.

Instead of heading for the door, Heinald began to examine the surroundings with full attention. This place looked like a ruined palace hall. He had observed the surroundings of this place before, but could not find any detail that would attract his attention.

Heinald wandered around for a long time, paying attention to even the smallest details.

However, he could not reach a conclusion.

"There must be something I overlooked" Heinald gritted his teeth. When faced with a situation he couldn't solve, he felt like someone was choking his throat, it was so annoying!

After thinking for a while, he decided to examine the whole area again.

Something must have been overlooked.

After an unknown period of time, he had already examined the entire environment five times in detail, but still had not discovered anything.

"I spent a lot of time, if there was something I missed I would have noticed by now. I better go back now." Heinald muttered.

He thought he had spent enough time. He didn't know exactly what was going on between the Kawtils and the Ulltemols, but he would plan according to the future outcome. If the situation seemed too complicated and hopeless, he would leave this plane. He needed to find a way to clean the stain in his sea of consciousness.

"Hmm?" As Heinald walked towards the door, he realized something was wrong. "Was that ledge there before?"

In the wall of stone bricks on the side of that door, he noticed that one brick was slightly further ahead than the others.

Revisioning his earlier observations in his mind, he realized that this brick was clearly aligned with the others.

This indicated that that brick had come forward later.

Heinald walked over to the brick block a little ahead of the others and began to examine it.

After examining it for a while, he gently pushed it away, as the stone block entered backwards, a circular door appeared.

Heinald couldn't quite understand what was going on, but he had a guess. In his opinion, the purpose of this pattern was to test the patience of the seeker.

He had stayed in this formation for a very long time, trying to figure out the purpose of this formation.

Heinald glanced at the circular door. This door, like the others, was pitch black, its back could not be seen.

The moment he stepped through the door, he found himself in the middle of a large, round field. When he turned around, he could not find any door.

"The exit must be somewhere else" Heinald muttered softly, then turned around and started walking.

Beyond the round area, there was a road that curved slightly to the right. After following this road for hours, he realized that he had come to the same place again.

"Did I draw a circle?" Heinald scratched his chin. He had a thoughtful expression on his face, not seeing any other road or passageway in the path he was following.

He looked around more carefully this time and began to follow the same path again. He soon realized that there was a small stone door that he had overlooked. This door was smaller than he was tall, so he would have to bend through it.

"Could the staining in my sea of consciousness be damaging my perception?" Heinald was surprised to have missed this earlier as he slowly walked towards the stone door. Normally, such details would not go unnoticed by him. This was becoming a growing concern for him.

He tried to push the little stone door open, but he couldn't move it even an inch. Considering the strength he possessed as a Level 2 Ainsar, it seemed that this small stone gate was no ordinary structure.

He saw some carvings that appeared after he cleared the layer of dust on the stone door. Examining these carvings closely, he realized that they were actually multiple runes combined. This thing before his eyes was a Seal.

The shapes of these runes were unlike any he had seen before, which only piqued his curiosity.

He immediately began to construct this seal in his mind, but something happened that he did not expect.

"Aghh!" Heinald sank to the ground, clutching his head. The moment he started to construct this seal in his mind, a severe pain stabbed in his head.

He knew right away that this was another test.

He took a deep breath and started to reconstruct the seal in his mind. When the same severe pain hit him again, he clenched his teeth and continued the process. The intense pain caused his body to tremble slightly. Cold sweat had appeared on his forehead, even his breathing had become sparse.

Although the process, which took ten seconds in total, seemed like hours to him, it was finally over.

When the process was complete, a beam of light emerged from his body and flew directly over the carvings on the stone door, illuminating them. The stone door opened with a slight jolt.

When Heinald stooped through the stone door, it closed again.

"So someone else has come this far" A voice with an uncomfortably calm tone resounded.

Heinald immediately began to carefully examine his surroundings. He was inside a large room, most of which was completely dark. Ahead, a light from a crystal in the ceiling hit the floor directly and illuminated a small area. From the darkness, slowly approaching footsteps could be heard.

"Who are you?" Heinald asked.

A gigantic tiger, about five meters tall, emerged from the darkness. There were no waves of energy emanating from it, but the solidity of its body and the keen look in its eyes made it clear that it was not ordinary.

"I am the guardian of the Crimson Mirror Ruins." The gigantic tiger slowly walked in front of him and stopped.

"I'm here to seize the relic!" Heinald thought that simply telling him his purpose would be the most sensible thing he could do.

"Yes, of course you are here to seize the relic" The gigantic tiger bend towards him, "And will you be able to get it?"

Heinald didn't answer as he was about to pass out from nervousness.

"Come on! Go on... You better try your luck before those who fight to get in here succeed." The gigantic tiger let out a sigh and turned around, pointing its head forward. There was a kind of sarcasm in his voice.

"Who is fighting?" After Heinald asked this question, he found the answer instantly.

They must have been Ulltemols and Kawtils!

The giant tiger looked at him and said, "Someone else came here a short time before you, and he was sure to get the relic. However, he doesn't seem to have achieved what he wanted. I wonder if you can still be as determined as now when you meet him."

The floor behind the tiger split in half, revealing stairs leading down.

"Did he talk like that to manipulate me?" Heinald looked rather indecisive. As far as he could tell, someone else had made it this far before him; but it had ended badly.

"I've spent huge amount of Arkana Stones to come to this plane. I'm not going anywhere until I have that relic." After Heinald made his decision, he started walking towards the stairs.

He possessed powerful spells and a Protective-Type Magical Treasure. That's why he was confident, ready to face the dangers.

After descending many stairs, he had come to the beginning of a short tunnel. Ahead, at the end of the tunnel, was a yellowish light.

As he walked towards the light, he realized that he had come into a very large field. It was a round area like an arena, but tens of times larger than an arena.

But there was something wrong with this vast region. There were many cracks, pits and craters in the floor of this field. It was obvious at first glance that a fierce battle was taking place here.

Heinald saw a tall figure ahead.

He just lay on the ground without moving. He began to walk slowly and cautiously towards her.

When he came near him, he encountered a figure that looked very human. However, his eyes were very large and he had only two nostrils instead of his nose, other than that everything else was the same as a human's.

"This must be an Ulltemol..." Heinald had heard various things about their appearance. Although this Ulltemol looked quite badly injured, he was still alive. He slowly opened his eyes when he sensed Heinald's presence. His eyes widened slightly when he saw him, then back to normal. He looked like he wanted to talk, but he couldn't.
