Chapter 381 - Making Impossible Possible
Yman finally furrowed.
Although he was successful in restoring the external parts and internal organs' conditions, it seemed some of his internal parts showed Malfunction status.
He wondered what was lacking.
Yman pondered. But then he noticed that although the body was already in good condition, the blood hadn't yet circulated throughout the body. So in this case, the reason for it was the heart. No wonder it showed (Mal) status.
Since the heart has malfunctioned, it was only natural for the other parts to not function as well.
To make the blood circulate in the person's body, the heart needs to function first. And to make it function again, that was the problem he needed to solve first.
"Hm," Yman pondered. "So it seems I needed to stimulate the heart," Yman muttered. 'Right. The heart needed a stimulus to pump again.' At that moment, he already knew what he needed to do.
Yman placed his hand on top of the body's left chest. He could use a slight shock to stimulate the heart, but the problem was, he couldn't use even a spec of a lightning element. It would have been much easier for him to stimulate it if he had that element. Because if he had that element, he could summon slight electricity in his hand, then let the heart take an electric shock with enough amount.
He believed it would be the best way to stimulate it. Nonetheless, even though he couldn't use that method, Yman already thought of something else.
After placing his hand on top of the body's right chest, Yman gathered a minimal amount of mana on that hand.

Honestly, he was uncertain what would be the result because of blood loss. But he needed to figure it out. Inside the holographic screen, the person's DatS showed Blood: 65%. He had no idea what that number could do. Though, he had a strong belief that it was still enough for a person to live, especially someone with mana.
Regardless, he needed to continue what he wanted to do.
A moment later, in an instant, he summoned a minimal shockwave by releasing a sudden force. The force was only enough to create a weak shockwave for the body to handle.
After doing it, the body jerked from that sudden force. It seemed the heart received a pumping force. It reacted slightly, and in that instance, Yman heard a slight beat coming from the heart.
Ba-Dump! Ba-Dump! Ba-Dump!
But the heartbeat only lasted for a short time and stopped again. It seemed like his first try did not fully succeed. However, a smile that looked more like a grin appeared on Yman's face. That first try showed the result he expected.
He already expected that the first try would not be enough to stimulate the heart completely, but that couple of heartbeats was more than enough for him to believe he did the right thing.
Without wasting time, he once again summoned another shockwave. He did it repeatedly until the stimulus was enough for the heart to continue beating. Even after the heart was beating again, the person didn't awaken right away. He understood that the blood must first circulate all over the body. He just need to wait for a little while.
After a while, just then, in the holographic screen, Yman saw the (Mal) status of the heart had finally disappeared. A moment later, he noticed the person's eyelids twitched. Yman's mouth turned in a semi-grinned smile.
Although he was showing such a carefree reaction, he was actually happy deep inside. After all, it was a huge success! He could really revive a dead person! He wanted to shout and laugh, but well, he didn't want other people to think he was an idiot who was laughing by himself.
"Eh?"
The guard muttered as he closed and opened his eyes in wonder. His eyesight was a bit blurry the first time he opened them. But after rubbing and opening and closing them, his eyesight became clearer.
He wondered what happened. Why was his eyesight blurry? At that moment an influx of memories appeared in his mind. He remembered they were attacked by some people in black clothing while they were guarding the gate.
"What?!"
His eyes shot wide-opened at that moment. And at that moment also, he noticed someone staring at him. A pair of red eyes were staring straight at him. "Huh? Who ar—!" He was about to ask him about his identity. But soon he quivered when he noticed the person was all black!
The first thing that came to his mind was, 'Enemy?!' Out of fright, he was about to get up. But Yman only said, "Rest assured. I'm not an enemy. And please refrain from making unnecessary movements yet. You're just healed. I don't know if there is a side effect or not." His voice was calm.
After hearing he wasn't an enemy, the guard sighed in relief. But, "H-Healing?" He repeated his words. That surprised him. Apparently, he already expected he would die after he took a hit from one of the enemies. He even felt his blood gushing out from his belly where his wound was.
Suddenly, the guard got up and sat. He quickly touched his body, especially his belly. But soon, his vision turned hazy and he was suddenly attacked by a headache.
"Ugh!" He groaned.
Noticing it, 'Hmm, a symptom of Hypovolemic shock? Well, after losing too much blood and fluid that result is to be expected,' Yman thought. It was fortunate that he wasn't an ordinary person.
"I didn't die?" The guard asked in surprise. It was very surprising indeed. The magnitude of blood on his body and the ground was already enough for a person to think that he couldn't live with so much blood loss.
Yman heard the guard muttered. But the guard gawked at Yman's next words. "You died."
"..."
The guard fell silent as he was wondering if this person was fooling him.
Although it was unbelievable to believe that he was still alive after losing so much blood, it was more unbelievable to hear that he died even though he was alive right now. There was no way for a person to live again after he died.
"Ahaha." The guard forced a tired laugh, then said, "Is that a joke?"
The guard was a modified human or better known as an Artificial Magician. He didn't need resonance with a System Deity to summon mana. So it was also true that, unlike the legitimate Magicians, he had no second life. Once he died, there was no way to revive him just like ordinary people. So this man was surely just fooling with him.
"....."
Yman shrugged his shoulders. He didn't answer him. But instead, he beckoned him to look at the opposite side. The guard's eyes immediately widened when he saw his comrades, lying in a pool of blood. Right, he remembered one of the enemies slit his comrade's throat.
"Carl!" He shouted, then ran beside the body of his comrade. As he thought, his comrade was now a corpse. His face contorted in a bitter expression in an instance.
"F*ck!" He smacked the ground with the side of his clenched hand. His eyes were hot and teary. At that moment, he felt a slight tug on his shoulder.
"Move aside."
He heard that person say. He looked at him and furrowed. He wondered what he was planning to do. Now that he thought about it, it seemed like this person was just a young man. But something with this person was bugging him. The guard wondered what it was that bugged him.
The next second, 'Right! He looked familiar!' The guard exclaimed in mind.
He tried to remember where he saw him before but to no avail. He could not remember. Maybe the reason was that his mind had loads of thinking at the moment, that was why he could not focus his mind. And he felt so weak even after the young man healed him.
Nonetheless, he saw the young man place his palm on top of the corpse's mouth.
"Wait, what are you doing?" The guard asked.
Without saying a word, Yman summoned mana and let them enter the corpse's body. The guard was just staring with wide eyes. He wanted to ask about those black things that looked like smoke. But after sensing that it was actually mana, he was speechless.
How did someone have that color of mana?!
At that instance, the guard seemed to realize something.
"Wait!"
"Y-You're…"
"I'm Black Magician."
Yman didn't wait for the guard to finish his words. He thought it would be much better to tell him this. Since Black Magician was a mysterious person, he didn't need to explain how he made the impossible possible.
They only need to know that The Mysterious Black Magician was capable of making the impossible possible. In reality, it was only because of his [Modifying Ability] along with better understanding.
After hearing his words, the guard widened his eyes with his mouth formed like 'o'.
"B-Black M-Magician…" he mumbled.
