Chapter 200: World Architect
Chapter 200: World Architect
-----
FLASH!
Jeremias tactfully manipulated space itself with his abilities, which were once limited to the Demonic Castle of Beelzebub. Thanks to Cosmic Energy, he was now able to evolve his power even further. I don’t know if it was his own Radiance beginning to manifest with cosmic Cosmic Energy or something, but his Spatial Magic could now expand further and outside of the boundaries it once had.
Thanks to that, he was able to slice through space as if he were cutting butter with a hot knife. He had to be careful though; this was an extensive job that couldn’t be properly used in battle due to how much focus and concentration it required, sadly. But it was useful for what I wanted him to do right now, without a doubt.
“Almost there… Master, please open the largest portal to the Purgatory you can.”
“Alright!”
As everyone watched in utter disbelief how a literal piece of the entire space of the dungeon was cut off, leaving behind a deep black void behind, I opened a purple-colored portal to the Purgatory Realm, a space that originally was created to seal powerful demons inside.
However, as the Skill description specifies, it is possible to expand it and also transform and change it. So I decided to try something out by adding a piece of a dungeon inside. Jeremias had already analyzed the entire Purgatory space on his various attempts at escaping, so he knew it would work once I asked him, and he analyzed everything.
The floating cube of space, containing the Murim’s Abandoned Temple ruins, three mountains, a chunk of the sky, and the sun, slowly entered the Purgatory and was then placed to the far north. The lugubrious and dark landscape suddenly changed, as a piece of it became like a fragment of a lost Murim World.
[Your Contracted Demon has successfully managed to cut the boundaries of a Dungeon and combine them inside your {Purgatory Realm}!]
[The {Fragment of Murim’s Abandoned Temple Dungeon} has been assimilated by the {Purgatory Realm}, becoming a part of it.]
[Warning, this could potentially corrupt the Fragment of the Dungeon with Demonic Energy, changing its original nature. Caution is advised.]
[The [Divine Demon-Sealing Purgatory Realm (SS): Lv2] Skill has Leveled Up by expanding its Realm!]
[The Category {Assimilated World Fragments} has been added to the Skill’s information.]
[You can now access the {Fragment of Murim’s Abandoned Temple Dungeon} inside of the {Purgatory Realm} at any time by entering through the {Purgatory Portal}.]
[This {World Fragment} possesses special facilities and functions, please visit it whenever you can to review them.]
[The Constellations are in awe of what you’ve done…]

[The [High Administrators] recognize your efforts.]
[You received the Title [World Architect] for taking a fragment of a world and adding it to your own Realm!]
-----
[World Architect]
A Title bestowed on Constellations, usually. Beings capable of grabbing the Fragments of Worlds and combining them together into new Worlds or Realms.
World Architects are not only capable of doing this but are also capable of modifying the Realms or Worlds they control, using both various types of Energies and Materials to transform and shape their Worlds to their own will.
Effects: +250 Skill Points. Grants access to the {Spatial Architect} Ability.
{Spatial Architect}: As the World Architect, you’re capable of manipulating and modifying the boundaries of space of Worlds and Realms you possess. You can easily shape the space inside of them and modify them, transform them, and add new places, facilities, landscapes, and treasures by utilizing various sources of energy and materials.
-----
Ooh, with this, I can at least better modify and shape the Purgatory Realm! I do have full authority over things there, but I still can’t just manipulate its space, no matter what I try. I suppose the Skill wasn’t originally made for that purpose, but at the end it became that.
With this Title, I can further expand, enhance, and transform the Purgatory Realm into something better, stronger, and much more useful. Maybe I could even begin a Farm there and plant Demonic Treasures or Divine Treasures.
“Treasures” in the meaning I am referring to, are special, Divinely Enchanted Materials or even Living Beings that exist within the Divine or Demonic Realms or Constellations. They can be plants, trees, mountains, mines, lakes, rivers, grasslands, flowers, forests, moons, suns, clouds, skies, earth, stones, or anything else.
They serve the very simple purpose of giving Constellations Essences they produce and also byproducts that can be extracted from them, which can be used to create all kinds of items.
I think that Sun inside the Dungeon might be a Divine Treasure…
“And it should be done, master.” Jeremias sighed in relief. “Did you have to use too much Cosmic Energy?”
“Nah, I still have a lot left. It’ll regenerate quickly, so don’t worry.” I said. “You’re very useful, Jeremias. Thank you for the help.”
“A-Ah, yes.” The imp-like demon said. “Then, if you excuse me, I should go back to the Purgatory…” He seemed slightly sad.
“If you keep working hard, I might ascend your position into a Pal.” I smiled.
“A-A Pal?” Jeremias' eyes glowed brightly. “Is this higher than being confined in Purgatory all the time?!”
“Yes! You would be influenced by a Privilege of mine, and maybe you could even gain powerful abilities, while remaining by my side in any adventure I have.” I said. “As long as you prove your loyalty, and that you’re not an evil demon that just wants to kill people…”
“Of course! I’ve already moved past such things; I was a creation of a despicable Death Apostle, but I’ve found more purpose than that in life now, master!” He cried. “P-Please let me ascend into a Pal!”
“You sure are desperate…” I sighed. “Just wait inside the Purgatory for now.”
“Y-Yes…” He bowed, disappearing inside the portal as I quickly closed it.
“I am still processing how you got yourself a bunch of powerful Demons to just obey you out of the blue…” Said Kevin. “How did you even do that?”
“A combination of several Anti-Demon and Demon Sealing Magic Spells, and also a Special Skill that can help me contain them and brand them as prisoners of the purgatory.” I smiled.
“Wha…?” Kevin was confused. “You’re truly a boundless girl… Just like your brother.”
“I would say she’s a bit cooler than her brother.” Baihe smiled, biting her lips. “Maybe hotter too- I-I mean, cooler, yeah…”
“Anna! Are we done yet? The Dungeon feels a bit weird; it was already beginning to be destroyed, but look!” Annabelle pointed in the distance.
The black void left behind was slowly beginning to expand. Strange, shadow-like tendrils were beginning to appear, spreading around. Everything they touched was slowly distorted, consumed by an endlessly swirling mass of gray, black, red, and purple colors.
Crimson eyes could be seen in the deepest areas of the void left behind; something was coming. Something that was very hungry, and something that took care of Dungeons that failed and had their Bosses killed.
“Is that… What father saw?” Fang Shuan muttered. “The thing that terrified him so much? A boundless chaos that he could never surpass…?”
“OOOHHHH…”
The guttural groan of something beyond the void reverberated. As if giving us a warning. It was telling us to leave, or stay, and be eaten by its endless hunger. Merely listening to its groan made our heads spin, and our bodies felt like giving up. My Constellation Aura encompassed my friends like a veil, protecting them from falling into insanity.
[The {Unborn Chaos} observes.]
“Let’s get out of here; we’re not its enemies. It’s better not to even talk with them if possible.”
Of course I am the exception because one is literally sponsoring me, but that’s another topic entirely!
Through the opened golden-colored portal, we stepped out of the Dungeon, leaving behind the portal that swiftly closed.
The last thing we saw were the tendrils consuming almost everything, gigantic jaws appearing, and biting through the dungeon entirely…
“Hahhh… I thought I was going to get a heart attack! What the hell was that thing?!” Baihe asked me.
“That’s… An entity beyond Constellations themselves. What you saw was but a small manifestation of its boundless existence. They’re called Void Rulers.” I answered. “And that’s… All I can say, I don’t know much about them either.”
“Void Rulers…” Kevin muttered. “So there are things even above Constellations…? That’s… Aren’t Constellations like Gods? I never thought there could be something beyond them!”
“I remember that my brother once mentioned them…” Annabelle said, trying to remember something.
“He did?” I asked.
“Yeah… He said that he had spoken with one once and that they gave him a seed. I don’t know what he meant with that.” Said Annabelle.
So that’s why he was able to become a Demon King. I thought it was because he had absorbed Beelzebub and a bunch of Demonic Energy and was then chosen by the World.
“Do you know what the name of this Void Ruler was?” I asked Annabelle.
“I don’t know, but he called it “The Hungry One”…” Said Annabelle.
The Endless Hunger! That thing… Ugh, they come from everywhere now. Why are they obsessed with this little Earth compared to the vast cosmos?
Maybe, like the Bleeding Scream, they’re somewhat aware of its Meta Relevance due to my brother being the Protagonist of this story?
So many questions, so few answers.
Well, we’ve gotten plenty strong, we got loot, and even a new friend, I think we’ve done enough for today.

He specializes in close combat fights with a tough and unyielding body and mighty spear techniques. It possesses no Mana, but it compensates for it by having immense quantities of Ki. As a former Guardian of the Balance, it possesses the ability to grow stronger when fighting against those judged by Anubis’ Judgement, or the allies of the one judged.

Looking at Fang Shuan’s Status, I can’t help but find it amusing! He’s an A-Rank Monster! And his Level Cap is 150?! Well, he can Level Up too at least. His Skills… All sound fantastic. Not only he kept most of his powers as the Golden Emperor but got some new Holy Undead Skills that combine both Death and Holy Elements.
Aside from that, he has the Privilege as a Balance Guardian. Its effects only activate when I’m using Anubis’ Judgement though, so it doesn’t feel too useful for every situation.
But seeing as we’ll be fighting stronger foes from now on, I might continue to abuse this Skill as much as possible. As we moved through the underground metro back to Stronghold City, we chatted about all sorts of things. Fang Shuan was able to shapeshift too and quickly transformed into a smaller, golden statue that I could carry in my pocket, which was really useful!
“So this is your world… I’ve never seen such tall buildings before! And those moving, metallic carriages! Oh, and your fashion style is rather odd too…” He was constantly commenting about everything in our world.
“Hmm! This hot dog thing, I like it!” He was eating half a hot dog I had given him. He could eat stuff despite being a golem-like holy undead.
“Glad you’re enjoying this world, Fang Shuan.” I laughed. “There are many other things you have yet to see!”
