The System for Mentoring Villain Bosses

Chapter 37 – The Ending of Kaka (2)

Chapter 37 – The Ending of Kaka (2)

Kaka planned the escape thoroughly. It took the opportunity and stole its master’s keys when he was sleeping and released every single animal from the circus.

All the animals, let it be lions, tigers, or kittens and puppies, all obeyed Kaka and followed him out of the circus, out of the human’s cement forest, and headed straight toward the green forest.

But, right before it stepped inside the forest, Kaka stopped on his way.

He belonged neither to the circus or to the primal forest. He was but a spoiled pet dog.

Su Tian did not continue on, but stopped right there.

She handed the notebook back to Liu Kaiyan and smiled, “I don’t know how to continue. Why don’t you take over from here?”

Where Kaka should go should be Liu Kaiyan’s decision. With or without her mission, Su Tian could not make this life decision for him.

Liu Kaiyan picked up the notebook and look at the drawings that looked like they were done by a 3-year-old and couldn’t help but chuckle.

Closing the notebook, he said, “We should go back now, unless we want to be marked as being tardy again.”

Su Tian suddenly came to and hopped up like a bunny and let out a small scream before she quickly returned the pen to the girls.

“We need to hurry. I am already being punished to clean for a week. If I am tardy again, I am going to have to clean for the entire school quarter!”

Liu Kaiyan smiled and followed behind her. This side of Su Tian was much cuter than her mature side.

After school that night, when Su Tian and Wang Haoxue were heading home together, Wang Haoxue would not give up asking Su Tian about what was going on between Boss Liu and her.

Su Tian repeatedly reassured her that there was nothing going on between them but Wang Haoxue wouldn’t have any of it. She warned her to be careful not to let Liu Kaiyan’s crazy mother find out about them. Otherwise, it would be bad news for Aunty He.

Even though Wang Haoxue had seen how capable Su Tian was, she still subconsciously believed that she would be bullied. After all, Su Tian was much smaller than her and even Su Tian’s calves were thinner than her arm.

From afar, Liu Kaiyan ignored his persistently vibrating phone and followed stealthily behind the two girls until they have entered the building before he turned and walked in the other direction.

He Qingwan was counting a stack of $100 bills in her hand with her eyes closed.

After Su Tian had returned to school, He Qingwan had asked around about how to tell apart counterfeit money. An experienced old man told her to just learn the feel of real money.

There were also scanners that she should get for the shop, but it would really slow things down when the shop was busy. She should learn to be able to tell counterfeit from real money in either case.

He Qingwan heard the door being open while she was counting and quickly put the money away into her purse.

Su Tian changed into her slippers and asked, “Any dinner left, mom?”

At seventeen, Su Tian was still growing, and there were many times when she was starving when she got home from school.

He Qingwan came out and took her little backpack from her, “Yes. I made some seafood porridge, and steamed egg. Both were still warm.”

Eh? No more spareribs finally? Happy!

Su Tian was happy but she didn’t say it out loud. Quietly, she walked into the kitchen and came back out with porridge and steamed egg.

T/N: I must say this does not look appealing to me...

After she was finished eating, she asked, “Hey, mom, where did you put my cell phone?”

He Qingwan, “Inside the drawer of your nightstand. I thought your school doesn’t allow it.”

Su Tian, “I will sneak it in. Otherwise, it’s too inconvenient.”

Su Tian located her cellphone, put in the battery and the phone card, keyed in Boss Liu’s number and sent him a text.

[This is my number and I will bring my phone with me from now on. – Su Tian.]
