Chapter 14: Is it Time to Name the Milu Rabbit?
Chapter 14: Is it Time to Name the Milu Rabbit?
Never had Alice expected that she would get transported to another world and be forcibly recognized as the world's Hero. What was even more unexpected was that her first activity after becoming the Hero would be...making a post on social media. Fortunately, LINK's features were similar to that of Weibo's, so Alice didn't have much trouble maneuvering around the social media platform.
Also, thanks to Father Kasandora's report and the surveillance footage of Alice drawing the Hero's Sword, Alice only had to wait a few hours for the Gryffin Kingdom to verify her LINK account as the Hero's LINK account. When Alice saw the "V" character appearing beside her account name, she couldn't help but suspect that she wasn't living in another world at all. After all, the sense of dj vu was immense. She even suspected that this world might be housing other transmigrators from Earth and that these transmigrators had brought some of Earth's technology to this world.
However, when Alice asked Zauna about the Heroes of past generations, she found out that every one of them have had their life story recorded from a young age. They were different from her, someone who had suddenly appeared out of thin air in the Gryffin Forest. Hence, Alice could only assume that some of these past Heroes were transmigrators who only had their souls transported.
"Although you say you've lost your memory, you seem quite familiar with using LINK."
Because the church's first floor was still crowded with people seeking to gain information on the Hero, Alice and Zauna could only stay on the second floor and play with their phones. Then, when Zauna saw the first post Alice made on Link, she raised an eyebrow and said, "A tiger's back, a bear's waist, a beautiful face, and beautiful eyes... Why is your self-introduction so weird? I know you want to prevent people from associating you with the Hero, but does such a person even exist?"
"That's the point. I'm trying to create an image that's almost impossible to find. Doing so will make it convenient for me to hide my whereabouts," Alice said, curling her lips.
The first LINK post Alice made was a self-introduction. In the post, she described herself as a man with strong muscles and a pretty and delicate face. Although the description sounded strange, this made it even more unlikely for people to associate the Hero with Alice.
In addition, Alice had received a message carrying good news from Father Kasandora just now. Apparently, the king had expressed his understanding of her thoughts and was willing to only disclose information of the Hero's general appearance while concealing Alice's true identity. The king had also agreed to help resolve any surveillance cameras that might've captured Alice and Zauna's arrival at the church yesterday. With this, Alice would be able to train herself with peace of mind.
Of course, Alice wouldn't be doing any actual training. After all, she knew better than anyone that the real Hero did not exist. Hence, there wouldn't be a Demon King appearing, either. Now, all she needed to do was live an easy life while relying on the Hero's title and also look into information relating to transmigrators.

On Earth, matters of transmigration only existed in novels, manga, and anime. However, in this world where magic existed, transmigration might be something doable.
"It sure is great to be the Hero. Your follower count has already surpassed mine," Zauna enviously said as she looked at her phone's screen.
In just five minutes after Alice's account had gained the kingdom's verification, the account's follower count had skyrocketed to an absurd number. Let alone Zauna, even Alice herself was flabbergasted. Through this development, Alice also realized that she had underestimated the feelings of adoration this world's people held toward the Hero.
"But you need to be extra careful from now on, Alice," Zauna suddenly said. "Once the demons find out that the Hero has appeared, they are bound to find trouble with you."
"Wait, what did you say?" Alice, who was already determined to mooch off her identity as the Hero, shuddered when she heard Zauna's words. Then, she hurriedly looked at Zauna and asked, "Aren't we in the human realm? Can the demons take action against me here?"
"Demons are actually quite similar to humans when it comes to appearances. Their bodies and souls just tend to be darker than that of humans. They also have organs unique to demons. However, if demons are intent on hiding these traits, it's not impossible to do so," Zauna patiently explained after hearing Alice's question. "The history books mention this as well. Most Heroes in the past have faced assassination attempts by the demons, though every one of them has safely survived these encounters. They even utilized these opportunities to improve their combat capabilities. So, I don't think you need to worry too much, Alice."
No, I'm very worried.
"You are the Hero blessed by Gods. You can even emit holy light at will. Holy light is incredibly lethal to demons." Zauna still wasn't aware that Alice was a fraud who relied on panties to exhibit Artifact-level strength. Hence, Zauna had always treated Alice as a "Hero who is easy to get along with." Not to mention, the fact that Alice could emit holy light from her right hand at any time served to further affirm Zauna's belief that Alice was someone favored by Gods. "Don't worry. If the demons dare come to pick a fight with you, you can easily deal with them."
Alice could only put on an awkward smile when faced with Zauna's unconditional trust. The "holy light" Zauna mentioned wasn't a holy light at all. It was merely her right hand transforming into a super-powerful flashlight; it wasn't lethal at all. Apart from exposing her location and announcing to the enemy that she would be using a powerful skill, the blinding light didn't have any positive effects. If possible, Alice would've preferred to lose her right hand's glowing effect entirely.
"It would be great if things were so simple," Alice said, sighing before turning to look at the door. Then, as soon as she did so, she noticed something strange. The last time she left the room and came back, she remembered very clearly that she had closed the door behind her. Yet, now, the door had been opened, and there was a small gap between the door and the doorframe. Moreover, she could also see a faint reflection through the gap. It was evident that something resembling a camera was currently observing her through the gap.
Is it a demon?
Alice immediately thought of Zauna's previous words and stood up from her seat. Meanwhile, the supposed demon behind the door also noticed Alice's actions, so the demon stored the suspected camera away and fled immediately.
Seeing this, Alice naturally couldn't just stand still and do nothing. If she allowed this demon to relay her information back to the demon world, there would be no peaceful days awaiting her in the future.
Anger flared up from her heart when Alice thought of this point. Immediately, she tossed aside her mobile phone and reached for the unconscious Milu Rabbit under the table.
[Weapon: Milu Rabbit With Some Mana]
[Quality: Not Bad]
[Effect: Strength +2, Speed +2]
[Additional Effect: Penetration (Passive Skill. The head's destructive power against obstacles is greatly improved.)]
It was probably because it had hit one too many trees, but the Milu Rabbit had gained an additional effect. This came as a pleasant surprise when Alice inspected it with her right hand this morning. Moreover, Alice had also tested the Milu Rabbit and verified that the "Penetration" skill was very useful. So long as she used the Milu Rabbit's head as the surface of impact, she could smash through even walls. The only downside to this was that the Milu Rabbit would remain unconscious for a while longer.
"Go!"
While holding onto the Milu Rabbit's ears, Alice made a huge arc with her right hand before releasing the rabbit toward the wall beside the door. Then, like an arrow released from a bow, the Milu Rabbit shot across the room, smashed through the wall, and accurately struck the escaping figure outside the room.
The escaping figure probably didn't expect a Milu Rabbit to smash through the wall, so they got hit right in the stomach. Fortunately, the Milu Rabbit had already exhausted most of its penetrating power when it broke through the wall. So, it didn't carry much force when it struck the escaping figure. Otherwise, a bloody scene would have ensued.
Even so, the person struck by the Milu Rabbit's head still collapsed to the ground and moaned in pain while holding their stomach.
