The Typhoon's Dangerous Wife

Chapter 56 - Long Jie Is In Danger

Exactly fifteen minutes later, the helicopter reached its ultimate destination.

"We have reached. Damon's voice rang out alerting everyone.

"Five minutes everyone. We jump in five minutes, "Long Jie informed them as the host of the plane brought them parachutes.

Though they were accustomed to such an operation, the adrenaline rush would always be on a different level each time.

The high, the satisfaction, or the rush, it was always on the top tier.

Long Wei was about to grab one of the parachutes when Zhenyi said." Where do you think you are going?"

" Sky diving. I quite prefer jumping from the altitude of 3000km, sister-in-law."

She had to admit, she enjoyed Long Wei's dry sense of humor.

The rest of his personality, however, she could do without.

"Sky diving should be your last priority, but I'm more concerned if you are following us then who's going to keep an eye on them ."

Long Wei who was excited about his new high was stopped by Zhenyi as he reckoned she had another plan in her mind for her. He glanced at his cousin who was eyeing his wife with curiosity, as to what she was in devil's mind now?

There was no doubt in his mind that she must have a brilliant idea.

"You really think they installed cameras there? It's a bloody mountain as tall as the Himalayas," Long Yuan said sarcastically as Long Jie just looked at her to carry on.

"Your point?," he asked Zhenyi.

Sighing, she looked at him back and said, " Point is-- ask Wei to hack into the satellite. You don't need to install cameras everywhere Yuan."

He sounded impressed, which irked her. "So, Wei hack a satellite to find out where they are ."

Long Wei just nodded and took out his computer.

Long Jie charged the rest with different duties for the next few minutes and Zhenyi notified them of their plan.

Now they were ready to jump off the plane.

"Everyone. Three. two. one. Jump."

The moment they jumped cold breeze hit their skin. Just as they landed, the bullets came flying from everywhere.

The first firing session went for a few minutes as they stepped forward and scattered in different directions.

The path was muddy and the pits were injected with rainwater. Not even the moon was in sight. Such a dark night it was.

The darkness was helping them in no way, the torches they carried were not enough. The topography of mountains was different from that of plains, and it was proving to be their biggest hurdle.

"Let's finish it and get a good night's sleep ?" Long Jie said, snickering as adrenaline clearly pumped through his veins.

She concluded he was no longer seeing her like a porcelain doll in that moment, but as another ally on his side.

Ultimately! She made him believe he was wrong about her.

"Finally and I can drink myself to sleep." She smirked and moved forwards with the rifle in her hands. Her boots were sticking in the mud and it was quite difficult for her to walk.

"I'm never carrying out a mission in the dead of night again."

Moving forward, a small structure came into their view, and the flickering light was sufficient to tell them that somebody was in.

Zhenyi looked at Long Jie and nodded as she threw another grenade at the stony building.

The structure was arm proof to some extent but she made the way to get enter.

Long Jie entered first, Zheyi was on the threshold of entering when a few of their enemy's hidden soldiers came out of nowhere and pointed their rifles at Long Jie.

She signaled the soldier to get back as it was no more than suicide to enter, especially when their boss was held captive.

All of a sudden a laughing voice boomed and the man she was waiting for came before her eyes.

His face reminisced her of her best friend who was still in deep sleep. A big and strong man was dependent on machines for breathing.

"My dear Xin Zhenyi aren't you coming in to die with your fiance. You can't leave him alone during his last time."

Long Jie looked at her and signaled not to come in. But she came anyway and pointed her rifle at Zack's head.

Now the situation was in such a way, several bullets were pointed at Long Jie and Zhenyi's was pointed at Zack.

"Put the gun down, Xin Zhenyi," Zack ordered, as one of his men pressed the gun to Long Jie's temple even harder. "Now. Or your good Fiance is as good as dead."

Raising her hands in surrender, she let the gun fall to the floor. Long Jie signaled her again to run and leave him here, but it was no use. She had already surrendered.

She surrendered the weapon only. Not her will.

Long Jie had no words for Zhenyi, he didn't know whether to call her fool or courageous but he knew one thing that was to keep her was safe.

Zack would kill him, but he could never touch her. Yuan would see to it.

He had no name for his sudden feeling to protect her and keep her safe. Always with him. It was far from obligation.

"On your knees, Long Jie," Zack ordered. "On your knees!" he roared when he refused to move.
