Chapter 67 SOS Alert
Chris's day at Mariana Beach had been absolutely amazing. The vast expanse of the beach, the sparkling blue waters, and the thrilling activities like boat rides, jet skis, and parasailing made it an unforgettable experience.
The sun was shining brightly, casting a warm glow on everything around him, and the joyful laughter of fellow beachgoers added to the vibrant atmosphere.
However, his serene beach paradise was abruptly interrupted by the jarring sound of his phone ringing. It wasn't just a regular ringtone; it was a cacophony of urgency and panic that seemed to reverberate through the air.
It was as if his phone itself was gripped by a sudden sense of fear and was desperately trying to capture his attention.
Shakily, he took out his phone, afraid of seeing the reason behind such an urgent and panicking ringtone. Never had his phone behaved this way before, why now?
// Sir Christopher. You have been selected as the top priority emergency contact by Catherine, mobile number 9178XXXXXX //
Seeing the message… Chris froze in shock, his body refusing to obey any of his commands as he read the short paragraph again and again, his mind not being able to accept the truth about what may have happened to Cathy.
He felt his world falling apart as he imagined what had resulted in such a terrifying message…
The fun and joyful beach now seemed eerie and distant as he sat on the beach chair with an expression of fear and tension painted on his face.
With fear seeping in his heart, his feets moved automatically as he kicked the sand beneath and stood up abruptly, scaring the nearby students with his abrupt actions.
"Tom. Your father is in the police, right? I want to track a number. It's urgent." his mouth opened as his chilly aura seeped, his eyes looking straight into Tom's, signifying that he surely wouldn't take a no for the answer.
Tom was taken aback by the sudden request…or rather, it sounded like an order. The change in Chris's tone and behavior was too much to take in for him as he looked at him blankly for a few seconds.
"Chris…? What happened? Take back your aura please…" Layla who was sitting nearly close to him, got up and patted his shoulders with visible worry on her pretty face.

"Tom. Yes or no?" Chris ignored her pats and slapped her hands away as he looked straight into Tom's eyes again, his aura getting stronger as his vivid mind imagined what might have been the reason for that SOS alert.
It may be a joke. This thought crossed his mind however he refused to believe in that little possibility, since even if there was a 0.001 percent chance that Cathy was in danger, he wouldn't let the matter slide.
Understanding the gravity of the situation, Tom looked blankly at him for a few seconds again before sighing deeply, "Look, I am not your servant you can order arou-"
"It's urgent. Please."
"I… yes, my father is in the investigation sector, what happened?" seeing the sincerity and worry in his eyes, Tom sighed again and nodded his head slightly.
"I want to track a number. My sister." Chris gave a slight nod as he pulled back his aura and passed his phone to Tom.
"A SOS alert? Got it."
Tom quickly took out his own phone, dialing his father and quickly filling him in with the details.
"He is finding, wait." Tom gave a reassuring look at Chris, but there was no way he could calm down when his sister's life may be at risk.
"Come with me." not bothering with the rest of the students and youngsters, Chris pulled Tom off his feet and began to pull him towards the car parking.
"Hey! Slow down!"
The resistance by Tom was paid no heed by Chris who kept walking straight with a deadly look in his bright hazel eyes.
He roughly shoved Tom into the passenger seat and quickly got into the driver's seat while Layla and the rest were shouting and calling to him in worry.
"Pick it up!" Chris urged impatiently while firing up his racecar's engine and looking at Tom's phone ringing phone.
"Geez, wait!" Tom complained before sighing and picking up his father's phone.
"You know that tracking a number without a warrant or permission is illegal, right?" Tom's father sighed deeply, looks like it was hereditary.
"Yeah, it was an emergency, sorry."
"Anyways, I am forwarding it. Don't do such stuff again. Also… the area it is showing is… a red light district so… you come home and we will talk." Tom's father forwarded the information and ended the call. But… was Tom wrong or was his father sounded angry…?
Also, red light district…? 'Why is his sister there? Is she a-' Tom quickly shook his head and tried to get his mind out of the gutter as he looked at Chris's hostile gaze.
Without another word, Chris stepped on the accelerator and shifted the gears of the car, his full focus on the tabloid attached to the car as he tried his hardest to reach the destination the fastest as possible.
By the rear view mirror, he noticed a couple more cars speeding along, however he ignored them all as his full focus was on the road ahead.
Never has he been as thankful to the system before as he was now, afterall, without the system he wouldn't have been able to weave his car between the bustling roads of the city!
At a mind blowing and honestly, illegal speed, his car sped past the roads and broke countless signals on the way without any care about it.
Even when a son of a high-posted police officer sat beside him in the car.
Speaking of the son, Tom was honestly holding in the urge to shout and throw up due to Chris's reckless maneuvers and his rough drivings. Thus also vowing in his mind to never sit in the car with this maniac as the driver.
*Skiddddd*
Horshe's racing tires skidded against the rough asphalt as the motors rotated again, speeding into a bustling dimly lighted alleyways.
"Slow the car, dumbass! Don't draw so much attention!" Tom looked around at the alleys, finding many middle aged men looking at at their race car with suspicious and hostile gazes.
But, Chris remained unfazed by the uninviting and cold aura of this red-light district.
There were many gangs around with many brothels, secret drug dealings and many other suspicious, illegal outlets dotted around this place that was beyond the reach of law and police.
The red-light district.
Chris was cold, and kinda currently mindlessly murderous. However, he still had an understanding about his limits as a mere C-Grade Awakened.
As if listening to his inner complains and shouts of being too weak, the system answered.
[ Sudden Mission - S-Grade
Survive and save your beloved sister from the houndings of treacherous human trafficking.
Reward- Level 2 Strength Pill. ]
However he had no time to be glad about this chance of evolving into a B-Grade powerhouse as his eyes remained affixed on one line in the hologram.
Save from human trafficking.
He was unable to read further as his breathing got ragged and he was unable to think of anything else.
No, the minor chance that it was a joke was nonexistent. Cathy… his dear sister was nowhere near safe…
'Treacherous… the teacher… hahahaha… the fucking teacher!' dots of the clues connected in his mind as Chris slapped his hand on the steering wheel of his racecar and laughed maniacally, his eyes converging into deadly madness.
'Damned bastard…' Tom inched away from Chris who seemed to have successfully lost his mind.
Soon the other cars that were following Chris's car came into the alleys, filling some hope in Tom's eyes as he eyed those eyes helplessly.
He wanted to run away to those cars and get as far as possible from this murderous asshole, alas, the suffocating pressure of Chris's aura was at peak and it held Tom at his place.
Even though Tom was naturally strong due to the thick, stronger blood that ran in his veins. Chris's normal, C-Grade awakened aura kept him in the place.
Well, it wasn't just the aura. It was the vibes. Chris's current predator vibes that even a son of a high-tiered son of a police inspector can't defend against.
But just when he thought this couldn't get worse, Tom saw many of the gang members walking towards their cars and Chris also turning towards him with a grin.
"Gun. Give me the gun, Tom."
Chris opened his mouth as a murderous, maniacal look appeared on his face.
