Chapter 72 - Feynman’s Technique
Chapter 72: Feynman’s Technique
Feynman’s technique was a god-level learning technique. It was very simple. First, one had to learn something. Then, one had to imagine that there was a person in front of them, and using simple and plain language, one had to explain this piece of knowledge to the person in front of them. If one could speak smoothly and clearly, it meant that one had grasped the knowledge. If one stammered, it meant that they had not grasped the knowledge, and had to continue learning and explaining until their explanation was smooth.
There were many key points to this technique. It was not as simple as simply teaching others. Moreover, the effect was extremely good. Otherwise, it would not have become popular on blue planet. This technique was even more famous than the physics magnate, Feynman, who discovered it.
“Who knows how to apply for the Mana Source badge?” Su Ye asked.
“You… should wait a few more years,” Laker shook his head helplessly. If he dared not think about it, how could Su Ye dare?
Huo Te looked at Su Ye silently. He really wanted to persuade Su Ye, but in the end, he didn’t say anything.
“Good, you have courage,” Jimmy praised.
“Crazy, they’re all crazy.” Ebert got up and walked out.
Rolon also shook his head and continued to read.

Su Ye got up and said to Jimmy, “Come, Let’s go outside and talk.”
“Okay,” Jimmy readily agreed.
The two of them walked to the grass outside the classroom. Su Ye asked, “I don’t know much about the Magic Council. What do you think of the learning methods we talked about before? which ones would likely be chosen?”
Jimmy smiled bitterly and said, “I’m just guessing, and I’ve tried the methods you mentioned a few times but still haven’t stuck with them. It feels too tiring and troublesome.”
“It’s difficult to adapt to any method in the beginning, but after you have used it for some time and turned it into one of your abilities, you can easily use it. You might even be able to use it without feeling uncomfortable,” Su Ye said.
“I’ll take my time. There’s no way to rush things like learning.”
“What method do you personally think is the most useful?” Su Ye asked.
Jimmy hesitated for a while, then, he said, “Actually, I think that all methods are useful, but they’re all difficult to use. I can’t tell what’s the most useful. You still have to decide this yourself. Moreover, in the past, we felt that these methods weren’t very useful, but now that we can apply for the Mana Source badge, we need to pay more attention.”
Su Ye nodded lightly and smiled. “Thank you, Jimmy. I will be more careful in the future.”
Su Ye had never known about the Mana Source badge in the past. If he knew, he would definitely have been much more careful.
The bell rang, and the two of them slowly walked towards the classroom.
Just as they were about to enter the classroom, Jimmy suddenly said, “I feel that you should ask Niedern. He thinks so highly of you, he will definitely help you solve this problem.”
“Okay, I will ask him in the afternoon.”
It was lunch break.
Niedern’s office.
Niedern stared at Su Ye for a very, very long time, causing Su Ye’s hair to stand on end.
“Teacher, is this Feynman technique not qualified for an application for the Mana Source badge?” Su Ye asked.
“It’s my fault. I still wasn’t able to stop your ego from expanding,” Niedern sighed softly.
Su Ye didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. He said, “Teacher, you have to believe me. This learning method is definitely a godly technique. It’s… It’s something I heard from a sailor in Lion Harbor. It was formed only after I carefully researched it.”
Su Ye couldn’t say that the person who discovered this method was Richard Feynman, blue star’s top scientist who had a dazzling halo around him.
Su Ye didn’t lie. When he first learned this technique, he was very muddle-headed. Later on, it was only after he continuously summarized his learnings and refined it that he completely understood the secrets of this method. Many of the secrets were discovered by himself; Feynman had never mentioned it.
“What proof do you have that this method is effective? Is it just that your results have improved?” Niedern asked.
Su Ye was stunned. He suddenly realized that he had overlooked this crucial point. This method had been verified by countless people on the blue planet, and he had often used it. Thus, subconsciously, he felt that this method was very effective, and he did not consider what the reactions of strangers would be if they heard of this method.
Moreover, the effectiveness of the Feynman technique could not be verified in a short period of time.
Seeing Su Ye’s dazed look, Niedern’s gaze moved, suddenly, he said, “Don’t worry, I’ll immediately hand over your discovery… No, your invention, to the Magic Council. I’m an official member myself, so I have the right to submit it for others… This is a learning method, so it’s most appropriate to submit it under the new theory category.”
“Teacher, what are you…”
Before Su Ye could finish, he saw Niedern open his magic book and tap on it swiftly with his fingers.
After a while, Niedern raised his head and said gently, “Okay, I’ve already submitted it to the Magic Council.”
Su Ye was stunned for a while before he came to a realization. He said, “Are you trying to discourage me? Do you think I will fail this time?”
Niedern said with a serious face, “Personally, I think there is a one in 10,000 chance of success.”
Su Ye didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. He said, “Well, thank you, teacher. However, there is an even more important reason why I looked for you.”
“What is it?”
“Do you know about the Kaerton Salad?” Su Ye asked.
“Not only do I know, but I also know that you sold it to the Dolphin River,” Niedern said.
Su Ye remembered what had happened before and nodded, he went straight to the point, “Not to mention Greece, including Northern Europe, Persia, and Egypt, the cutlery in all the countries is too simple and crude. It’s also incomparably rough. They seem to be made for savages. I want to create a brand-new cutlery and completely change the dining tables of the world. I want to find a noble that I can trust and collaborate with the Plato Academy to form a chamber of commerce and run it together. Therefore, I would like to ask you to act as a link between me and Plato Academy for this cooperation. My reward is a hundred gold eagles.”
“That’s not a small sum of money, and your dream isn’t small either. Other than the Plato Academy and the nobles, Kaerton is your main partner, right?” Niedern asked.
Su Ye said, “Yes.”
“Have you found a partner among the nobles?” Niedern asked.
Su Ye said helplessly, “The nobles are too strong. I might be eaten until not even my bones are left. If the nobles are too weak, they will be eaten by the other nobles until not even their bones are left. We can only find those families of heroes or demigods, but the prerequisite is that their reputation must be good, so good that they don’t care about golden eagles. At least, an amount that is less than a million. Thus, it’s very difficult to find them. I don’t think even Kaerton can find them.”
Niedern thought for a moment and said, “You’ve helped me a lot by winning the magic apprentice competition. You’ve made my teacher and even Master Plato praise me. I can help you find nobles who meet your requirements.”
“Shouldn’t they praise me?” Su Ye found a loophole in his logic.
Niedern said earnestly, “You’re still young. In their eyes, you’re just a sapling by the roadside. They’ll occasionally take a look at you, but they don’t have time to water you personally.”
“So, when they’re not looking, you’ll kick the sapling from time to time?” Su Ye asked.
“Do you still want me to help you contact the nobles?”
Su Ye answered sincerely, “The sapling has to be trimmed, and the students have to be managed. I’ll fully rely on you with regard to the collaboration with the academy and the search for respectable nobles.”
Su Ye began to think, “Huh, I’m unexpectedly very flexible. This is the potential of an ambitious man. My image of myself has become even greater.”
