Transmigrating as an Extra Third-Rate Villain

Chapter 161: Chapter 161:A Dead End [3]

Suspended in the air right above Zach's head, I watched as he slowly opened his mouth before immediately closing it.

Her face transformed from confused to one of disgust as he muttered out, believing that nobody else could hear him.

"Damn liar."

He can see the shadow cage, which is not surprising but still trippy.

He was a direct counter to my corruption ability.

Ordering the corrupted figure to stop a couple of steps away from the corrupted figure, I smirked as I drew in the shadow cage, making it smaller and smaller.

If the spirit could have escaped the shadow cage, it would have done so by now, yet here it was, standing still and observing the situation.

It was also possible that he was simply observing, waiting for an enemy to appear, and then making a plan.

Unfortunately, I had to assume the first theory was correct as my mana was running lower and lower with everyone second.

The shadow cage would drop in less than two minutes, and when that happens... the spirit would be set free, taking our hopes of terminating the loop with it.

Well...it's now or never.

Not bothering to make it seem as though the corrupted figure was speaking, I shouted out.

"IT'S KEVIN!"

I could kill Kevin, yes, but could I trap him and showcase the corrupted figure's ability at the same time?

I had to trap the spirit, making it seem as if it would die if it were Kevin's body, and at the same time, make the corrupted figure's body appealing to it, making it want to switch bodies.

Looking around at the main cast members and seeing the surprised expressions on all of them... except Alya, a smile slipped onto my face.

The tables had turned.

I used to have to fight 1v20s, but now it was the opposite.

All of the main cast and I versus one single person.

Oh, how nice it was to be on the side with a greater amount of people!

As I plunged my dagger downwards, allowing myself to plunge toward the ground right at Kevin, Lily reaffirmed my words.

"KEVIN HAS BEEN POSSESSED, WE HAVE TO... K-KILL HIM!"

Thanking Lily for actually saying "kill," as the spirit needed to believe that it would die if it stayed in Zach's body, I threw my first attack at the corrupted figure.

However, I did not expect it to hit.

The main cast could easily take care of Kevin...my job was to showcase the corrupted figure's body.

Flapping my wing, I appeared right beside my corrupted figure with my night-black bow and arrows in hand.

Feeling a presence behind me, I turned around and saw Ruby cluelessly wandering around with her wand.

Oh right... they can't see, can they?

Without sight, they were just a bunch of useless people who had no chance against the spirit.

Thankfully, I believed that the spirit couldn't see in the shadow cage as it had barely managed to dodge my dagger attack by ducking at the last minute.

But, that also was a double-edged sword as that meant I couldn't showcase the power of the corrupted figure to it.

That would mean that the spirit would attempt to take over another main cast member instead of the corrupted figure, making our situation even worse.

"...can't I have one good thing!? Why does everything come with side effects...?"

Leaving the corrupted figure and the retreating Zach behind, I flapped my wing three times, grabbing Ruby, Lily, Irene, and Alya in less than a second.

To them, it would have looked like they were teleporting as I seamlessly grabbed one before moving on to the other.

Dropping the four girls next to Kevin and Zach, I hesitated for a moment before whispering to Lily and Alya in a deadly, serious voice.

"Try to kill him. You have to make it seem real, or else the spirit won't believe it."

As Alya was at a loss for words, Lily muttered back.

"H-how c-can we, h-"

Sighing, I shook my head.

"If we don't do this now, the situation will only get worse. Would you rather Zach possibly die... or we all die instead?"

Without any hesitation, Alya broke out of her trance and replied.

"We all die."

Some people are just fundamentally different, I guess...

As Lily nodded her head and turned her expectant gaze to me, I asked.

"Do you trust me?"

In unison, the two girls replied.

"No."

"Nope."

Sighing, I turned away and replied.

"Well, you're going to have to."

"...?"

Leaving the main cast behind, I whispered back in a dead serious and cold-hearted voice.

"I will kill Zach myself if you don't."

Some things needed to be done.

Did I seriously have any intent to kill Zach?

No.

But those were the words that Alya and Lily needed to hear.

And... just like the spirit needed to believe that he would die, they believed that I would genuinely kill Zach if they didn't listen.

Not waiting for a response, I flapped my wing, appearing next to my corrupted figure once again with my bow in hand.

Now, it was time to solve the problem of lighting.

Dismissing my mask as there was no longer a need, I manifested two daggers.

Finding the blood-red substance in my body, I embed both my daggers with the substance, causing them to shine a bright red.

Corruption and my blood-red substance could coexist instead of one trying to overpower the other, just as they fused together to create my wings.

In the pitch-black room, one figure was illuminated and seen despite the immense darkness: my corrupted figure.

Looking around, I saw the entire main cast with sullen faces as they gazed at my corrupted figure in the distance.

I had stepped back to prevent myself from being seen, hiding behind the corrupted figure's back.

Putting one of the daggers in the corrupted figure's hand, I nocked an arrow in my bow before aiming.
