Chapter 44
C44 – You will Die a Horrible Death!
“Heh, we need to be prepared for whatever comes our way…”
Upon hearing Wang Xiao’s words, a cold sneer spread across Lei Ting’s lips. He was about to launch into a mocking retort when Wang Xiao made his move. With a swift motion, he charged at a nearby Taekwondo expert.
“Watch out!” Lei Ting’s face contorted with alarm, and he called out a warning, but it felt hopelessly late.
The Taekwondo expert barely had time to register what was happening before Wang Xiao was upon him. Reacting with impressive speed, he brought his palms together in a defensive stance.
But Wang Xiao’s right fist was already thundering down.
Boom…
The sound of the collision echoed thunderously through the air.
As Wang Xiao’s fist connected with the Taekwondo master’s arms, the man’s expression twisted in shock, a surge of force rippling through his limbs.
Spurt…
A gush of blood escaped his lips as he was sent hurtling backward.
“Cowardly!”
Lei Ting’s expression turned to stone as he watched Wang Xiao’s successful ambush. He spat out the words through clenched teeth.
“So, it’s fine for all of you to gang up on me, but a surprise attack is off-limits?”
Wang Xiao’s lips quirked into a sly smile as he tossed the question back at Lei Ting.
“You!” Lei Ting was momentarily speechless, but he quickly recovered, his voice icy, “Everyone, attack! If he’s not crippled, it’s on me!”
“Yes, Brother Lei Ting!”
The other Taekwondo masters responded in chorus, their faces twisted with rage. At the command, they sprang into action, converging on Wang Xiao.
Whoosh…
Wang Xiao reacted instantly, his body darting into the fray like a specter, his limbs a blur as he struck out amidst the crowd.
Thud! Thud! Thud!
In mere moments, one figure after another was flung aside like rag dolls.

Soon, the floor of the Taekwondo Club was littered with members groaning in agony.
Only Lei Ting remained standing in the arena.
“Are you some kind of monster?”
Lei Ting’s face was etched with astonishment as he watched Wang Xiao’s agile maneuvers and formidable assault. He fixed his gaze on Wang Xiao and demanded in a grave tone.
“I’m not a freak; call me a master!”
Wang Xiao’s lips quirked into a slight smile as he addressed Lei Ting with a calm voice, “All your guys have been taken down by me. Still want to fight?”
It was only then that Lei Ting snapped back to reality, realizing this was no time for shock and awe.
The fight had already begun, and if he didn’t step in, Ju Sen and the rest would never respect him again.
Time to go all in!
“Eat my fist!”
A vicious glint flashed in Lei Ting’s eyes as he balled his fist and hurled it toward Wang Xiao.
Crack…
Wang Xiao, with an effortless motion, extended his right hand, caught Lei Ting’s fist, and twisted sharply. The crisp sound of breaking bones echoed through the air.
“Ah… My hand!”
Lei Ting’s hand was broken, and he cried out in agony.
“Consider this broken hand a minor punishment. Don’t come looking for trouble again, or next time it won’t be just a hand,” Wang Xiao warned coolly as he released Lei Ting’s hand and stepped back.
Whoosh…
The girls from Traditional Chinese Medicine System Class Four were initially stunned, but then they erupted into excited screams.
“He did it! Wang Xiao beat the Taekwondo Club!”
“He’s incredible! So cool! I’ve made up my mind; I’m going after Wang Xiao!”
Their eyes shone with excitement as they watched Wang Xiao, almost ready to throw themselves at him.
They crowded around him, offering massages and back rubs, occasionally sneaking in a flirtatious touch.
The boys nearby watched with faces full of envy, jealousy, and resentment.
“Beast…”
Soong Ming grumbled resentfully upon witnessing the scene.
“No wonder he didn’t let us join in. He wanted to hog all the glory!”
Feng Lee clenched his fists, seething with anger, his teeth practically grinding.
“Third Brother is the man, surrounded by all these girls. I can’t stand it; I’ve got to get Third Brother to share the wealth.”
Lin Hua looked on with admiration, his chubby face breaking into a scheming grin.
…Soong Ming and Feng Lee exchanged looks, their faces lined with frustration.
Ding Ling…
Just then, the bell signaling the end of the last morning class rang out. Wang Xiao gestured with his hand, signaling the group to disband.
“Damn it, I swear I’ll get my revenge!”
Lei Ting watched with a snarl as Wang Xiao and his friends, all smiles, walked away from the Taekwondo Club. His fists were clenched, and he seethed with anger.
……
In the following days, the students from Traditional Chinese Medicine System Class Four continued their training at the Taekwondo Club, but there was no sign of Lei Ting, Ju Sen, or their crew.
Wang Xiao, on the other hand, was enjoying his downtime. By day, he assisted Instructor Lee with training and occasionally teased Yao Beier, the innocent and adorable girl. Her blushing face brought him great amusement, and he couldn’t help but laugh heartily, thoroughly enjoying life.
Soon enough, the night before the end of military training arrived, and all the students from Traditional Chinese Medicine System Class Four decided to chip in and treat Instructor Lee to a farewell dinner.
The small restaurant buzzed with the chatter of the students.
“Instructor Lee, with this parting, who knows when we’ll meet again. I raise this glass to you,” Wang Xiao said, holding two beers and handing one to Instructor Lee with a grin.
”During military training, alcohol is off-limits…”
Instructor Lee frowned, hesitating as he took the beer Wang Xiao offered.
Wang Xiao glanced back at Soong Ming and the others, giving them a knowing look.
“Instructor Lee, it’s the last night of training. What’s there to worry about? We won’t see each other again. Can’t you let loose with us just this once?”
Catching on, Soong Ming quickly chimed in, encouraging Instructor Lee and signaling to the girls.
“Exactly, Instructor Lee, join us for a few drinks.”
“Right, if you don’t drink, we wouldn’t dare to either.”
The girls from Traditional Chinese Medicine System Class Four caught on quickly, tugging at Instructor Lee’s arm and cooing persuasively.
Finally, worn down by Soong Ming and the others’ relentless coaxing, Instructor Lee conceded with a resigned sigh, “Alright, just one drink then.”
Wang Xiao’s eyes sparkled with anticipation as he eagerly joined Instructor Lee for a drink. One round led to another, and before long, Instructor Lee was thoroughly inebriated by Wang Xiao and his friends.
”The great river flows eastward, the stars above join the Big Dipper…”
Watching a drunken Instructor Lee belt out a tune, clutching his beer bottle and utterly devoid of his usual aloof demeanor, the entire restaurant erupted in laughter. Some of the girls even whipped out their phones to capture the moment on video.
For every student in Traditional Chinese Medicine System Class Four, this night would be an unforgettable, cherished memory.
”Drunk Instructor Lee is hilarious!” Wang Xiao chuckled alongside Soong Ming, Feng Lee, and the others as they watched Instructor Lee lose himself in his revelry, grinning mischievously.
”See? I told you it’d be a blast to get Instructor Lee drunk,” Lin Hua said, his chubby face breaking into a sly grin. It was his idea to intoxicate Instructor Lee, and the plan had worked like a charm.
“Hehe, little miss, you’re quite adorable. How about having some fun with me?” A sleazy laugh echoed from outside the restaurant.
Wang Xiao’s brow furrowed, his expression turning stern. Though they were near Forest City University, they were still off-campus, where ruffians and thugs were not uncommon.
“Yao Beier and the others went to get some hangover medicine for Instructor Lee. It’s been about ten minutes; they should be back by now,” Soong Ming remarked, his tone serious as he addressed Wang Xiao.
”Let’s go check it out!” Without a moment’s hesitation, Wang Xiao stood up decisively.
Soong Ming and the others nodded in agreement, and the rest of the students from Traditional Chinese Medicine System Class Four, having heard the disturbance, rose to their feet and headed towards the door.
Stepping out onto the street, Wang Xiao’s expression grew even darker, his fists clenched in anger. Yao Beier and her dorm mates were being harassed by a group of lecherous men, tugging at their hands and snickering vilely.
“Let go of me! My classmates are just around the corner. If you don’t stop, I’ll scream,” Yao Beier pleaded, terror shining in her tear-filled eyes as she confronted the Scoundrel Man.
”Go ahead, scream your head off. Just a bunch of kids still in school—think I’m scared of them?” Scoundrel Man sneered, but upon hearing Yao Beier’s cries, his eyes gleamed with a perverse excitement, and he let out a sinister chuckle.
The other girls were similarly harassed by several sleazy men, struggling to break free.
“I’m warning you, release her now, or you’re going to meet a very gruesome end,” Wang Xiao approached with an icy glare, confronting Scoundrel Man.
As he spoke, Soong Ming and his companions moved toward the other lecherous goons.
“Oh, really? And what if I don’t?” The man gripping Yao Beier’s hand retorted with a mocking grin, unimpressed by Wang Xiao.
Unfazed by Wang Xiao’s less than imposing stature, Scoundrel Man felt no fear.
”Well then, you’re asking for it,” Wang Xiao replied, his expression turning stern. He was done with words, his fists ready to do the talking as he prepared to strike Scoundrel Man.
Soong Ming and the others were poised to join the fray.
”Hold it right there!” Just then, a commanding voice echoed from behind Wang Xiao. A figure clad in camouflage emerged from the restaurant—Instructor Lee had arrived.
