Chapter 193 The Terror of Death
Chapter One Hundred and Ninety-Three
Yang Jun's eyes were bloodshot, charging at Long Xiaoshan like an enraged bull.
In his hands was a piece of brick he'd picked up from who knows where.
"Kid, I'm going to kill you!"
Yang Jun acted out of heated rage.
At his age, impulsiveness was at its peak.
Moreover, Yang Jun had always been the one to pick on others, never the one to be humiliated. To be dragged out by the neck in front of a crowd and thrown onto the street—it was a disgrace he had never endured.
This humiliation made him nearly insane.
He had grabbed a brick at the entrance and charged in.
He rushed at Long Xiaoshan and, lifting the brick high, aimed for Long Xiaoshan's head.
Sharp screams erupted all around.
This was a brick, after all. The way Yang Jun swung it, if it hit someone's head, it could spill their brains out.
A cold glint sparked in Long Xiaoshan's eyes.
As the brick came crashing down, Long Xiaoshan grabbed Yang Jun's hand, twisted it forcefully, and with a snap, Yang Jun screamed in agony, kneel down in pain, the brick falling from his grasp and dropping to the floor.
"Let go, damn it, let go!" Yang Jun yelled.
Long Xiaoshan coldly asked, "You were trying to kill me just now?"
Under Long Xiaoshan's gaze, Yang Jun felt a chill down his spine, but at his defiant age—and with his girlfriend by his side—he roared back, "So what if I did, you motherfucker? If you've got the guts, kill me! If you don't kill me, I won't let you walk out of Hechuan City alive."
Long Xiaoshan laughed.
He picked up the dropped brick from the ground and calmly said to Yang Jun, "Want to die? That's easy."

After speaking, he lifted the brick and slammed it down hard toward Yang Jun's head.
The brick whistled through the air.
Much stronger than the blow Yang Jun had aimed at Long Xiaoshan, the force was more than tenfold.
Especially for Yang Jun, facing the brick, it didn't feel like a mere piece of clay but rather a hundred-pound iron block.
The terrible sound of it slicing through the air,
made him truly realize how close death was.
His mouth was tough, his attitude arrogant,
because he had never truly encountered the terror of death.
Schoolyard scuffles, street fights,
were all just minor tussles.
He had only ever faced troublemaking students or rowdy thugs,
never a real hardcore villain.
But now, he truly felt he was about to die, and death was so terrifying.
No, I don't want to die, I don't want to die!
He was only in his twenties with a wealthy family, and life's pleasures were just beginning. Now, in a moment of impulsiveness, all wealth, all the women may soon slip away from him.
Fear erupted like a volcanic blast, causing him to scream in terror.
Thwack!
The brick slammed against his face, and Yang Jun's voice stopped abruptly…
"Yang Jun, Yang Jun!" Ouyang Fei shook Yang Jun vigorously.
Gradually regaining his senses, Yang Jun muttered, "I'm not dead."
Of course, Long Xiaoshan didn't kill him. To kill would be impossible in broad daylight. As the brick was mere millimeters from Yang Jun's face, Long Xiaoshan stopped, but the strong gust of wind still caused half of Yang Jun's face to swell, now numb.
For Yang Jun, it was like having taken a walk at Purgatory Gate.
He felt like he had cheated death, and, with Ouyang Fei's help, he stood up.
Laughter erupted all around.
As it turned out, Yang Jun's pants were soaked and there was a foul, stinking odor.
Just now, a brick from Long Xiaoshan had scared the pee out of him.
Yang Jun's face turned beet red with embarrassment and rage, but the fear he had just experienced kept him from messing with Long Xiaoshan again, and he quickly fled KFC.
With Yang Jun gone,
Long Xiaoshan turned to Chun Tao and asked, "Still want to eat?"
"No, let's not eat anymore," Chun Tao quickly shook her head.
She couldn't possibly eat now. Long Xiaoshan smiled and said, "Then let's go buy some clothes."
For him, reclaiming this spot wasn't the main goal; it was to teach Chun Tao the lesson that one shouldn't let themselves be bullied. The two of them walked out hand in hand and turned into the nearby Jinxiu Mall...
Yang Jun, with a face pale as iron, walked briskly down the street.
The pointing and whispering all around made him burn with shame. He was wearing light-colored pants today, making the big wet spot especially visible.
Even Ouyang Fei deliberately kept her distance from him.
It was clear she felt too embarrassed to walk with him.
"Bastard, bastard, I'll definitely kill you."
Although the fear of death moments before still caused Yang Jun's heart to thump wildly, the humiliation had him seething for revenge once he came to his senses.
Suddenly, he spotted several people standing in front of a gaming arcade and his eyes lit up.
He quickly walked over and called out, "Brother Xin."
A young guy in a gaudy shirt turned around and frowned at Yang Jun. "Who are you?" he asked.
"I'm Yang Jun, my dad is Yang Dafu," Yang Jun said.
"Yang Dafu, you're Young Master Yang's son." Brother Xin nodded and a sly smile spread across his face.
Yang Dafu owned a car sales company in Bei Sheng District with assets worth tens of millions. Not a small player, Brother Xin, who was part of the Sihai Group in Bei Sheng, had dealt with Yang Dafu a few times and accepted quite a few favors from him.
"What's up, Young Master Jun, looking like this?"
Seeing that half of Yang Jun's face was swollen and his pants were still wet, Brother Xin asked with a smirk.
"Brother Xin, I was beaten up," Yang Jun said pitifully.
Brother Xin knew that when Yang Jun mentioned this, he was obviously asking for help.
Even though he looked down on him a bit,
given that Yang Dafu had given him a Mercedes SUV half-gifted, half-sold, earning him a few hundred thousand, he couldn't completely snub him and said, "Who hit you? Tell Brother Xin."
"Just some bumpkin."
Yang Jun recounted his encounter with Long Xiaoshan at KFC.
After hearing this, Brother Xin feigned anger and said, "Oh really, a mere bumpkin dares to hit Young Master Jun? Don't worry, Brother Xin will definitely get your turf back. We'll have that kid kneel in front of you, and you can smack him however you like."
"Thanks, Brother Xin," Yang Jun exclaimed joyfully.
He had toasted Brother Xin at a dinner with his father and had heard from his father that Brother Xin managed several entertainment venues across a few streets in Bei Sheng District. He was a real tough character, nothing like the petty schoolyard bullies Yang Jun dealt with at school.
He had approached Brother Xin with just a hopeful guess, not really expecting help.
But to his surprise, Brother Xin was indeed willing to lend a hand.
Little did he know that Brother Xin was willing to help because Yang Jun had called Long Xiaoshan a bumpkin.
Otherwise, Brother Xin really couldn't be bothered to care whether Yang Jun was dead or alive.
"Come on, take me there," Brother Xin gestured, and several of his underlings at the arcade entrance followed suit.
Yang Jun's heart swelled with joy, and he led Brother Xin and his fierce-looking crew back to KFC.
But when they arrived inside KFC, they discovered Long Xiaoshan had already left.
Yang Jun thought Long Xiaoshan had fled in fear of his revenge, and cursed silently at how quickly he had run away.
Long Xiaoshan, having taken Chun Tao around Jinxiu Mall, had bought quite a few pieces of clothing. To suit Chun Tao's student status, they didn't go for anything too expensive, sticking to brands like ZARA, Nike, and Adidas.
After finishing their shopping spree, Long Xiaoshan and Chun Tao walked out of the mall carrying bags both large and small.
