Chapter 16
C16 – What?
Certainly, Wen Huaimu wouldn’t consent to the elfin revealing herself. He simply didn’t possess the means to allow her to show herself to the world.
Deep down, Wen Huaimu wanted to claim he was coerced, but he couldn’t voice that. Instead, he bore the elfin’s discontent in silence.
There’s a lot of truth to the saying that only what you witness with your own eyes is real.
Miss Zhuang’s bust size increased noticeably after she was freed from her restraints, leaving Wen Huaimu utterly astounded.
The elfin, at last, ceased her tirades against Wen Huaimu, retreating to a corner of the crystal cabinet to murmur to herself, occasionally flashing a savage look.
Upon hearing this, Wen Huaimu’s expression turned grim, and he fell silent.
Curse Long Hair, curse Nighty Night. He was determined to seek vengeance!

“Are you okay? Now that you know, just don’t eat it. These things are harmful; you should throw them out.” Miss Zhuang seemed to have a strong dislike for the harmful substances, intent on discarding them in the trash.
Yet, it seemed this predicament had been ongoing for quite some time. Nighty Night must have had a formidable supporter, which emboldened them.
At the front desk, Miss Zhuang casually took out a card and instructed, “Transfer five hundred thousand HKD for me.”
Wen Huaimu was astonished. Miss Zhuang was truly wealthy, her demeanor as nonchalant as if she were buying an ice cream cone at a corner store with pocket change.
She was indeed wealthy!
The cashier swiftly processed the transaction with reverence, handing over a pile of purple plastic coins, each boldly marked with the figure 50,000.
Wen Huaimu quickly lifted the somewhat heavy box, feeling the weight of responsibility. He had never handled so much money in his life.
“I’m in a good mood today, so we’ll play whatever you suggest,” Miss Zhuang declared, seemingly indifferent to the sum of money, her smile unwavering.
Wen Huaimu offered a resigned smile, careful not to make any careless remarks.
“Don’t be nervous; it’s just a few million. But if you win, we’ll split the winnings. I’m eager to see you triumph,” Miss Zhuang said, her tone flirtatious as she gave Wen Huaimu’s arm a suggestive squeeze.
Without a moment’s hesitation, Wen Huaimu nodded, his face brimming with confidence.
Miss Zhuang appeared to relish the closeness she shared with Wen Huaimu.
Wen Huaimu was already in touch with the elfin, relying on its assistance. The elfin’s psychic abilities were formidable, enabling it to cheat with ease.
“Why are you bothering me? Go keep that woman company,” the elfin snapped, still seething with anger and paying no attention to Wen Huaimu.
Left with no alternative, Wen Huaimu had to abandon the idea of exploiting the elfin’s psychic powers.
Together, they made their rounds past the various gaming tables at the casino, while he casually assessed which games offered the most favorable odds.
