Chapter 645: A Dire Warning

Villain Ch 645. A Dire Warning

Father^Alex’s heart raced as the devil emperor mentioned his name once more. A surge of incomprehension and unease washed over him, leaving him grappling with the sudden realization that he had become the target of the emperor’s attention. But in the midst of the chaos of battle, he knew better than to voice his concerns aloud.

He was a healer and foremost, and his priority was to support the players.

’Why is he ignoring me? I’m the one who called his name! Why did he mention Father^Alex’s name again?’ Sophia screamed in her head.

Sophia seethed with frustration as the devil emperor deliberately ignored her, his focus fixed on Father^Alex instead. It felt like a slap in the face, a blatant dismissal of her efforts to bait him. But she knew better than to let her emotions get the better of her. With a deep breath, she forced herself to calm down, her mind racing with thoughts of how to turn the situation to her advantage.

"Deciding to ignore me, I see," Sophia said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "Why are you trying to avoid me? What is your evil plan?" Her words were a calculated attempt to provoke the devil emperor, to goad him into revealing his true intentions.

Father^Alex’s grip tightened on Sophia’s arm as he heard her words, a frown marring his features. "What are you doing?" he hissed, his tone laced with displeasure. "Stop provoking him! Our situation is bad enough as it is!" He knew that Sophia’s reckless actions could only make things worse, and he wasn’t about to let her put them all in even greater danger.

The other healers nearby nodded in agreement with Father^Alex, their expressions mirroring his concern. They knew that Sophia’s impulsive behavior could jeopardize their chances of winning this war, and they silently prayed that she would heed Father^Alex’s warning before it was too late.

But Sophia, undeterred by Father^Alex’s admonition, refused to back down. "I won’t stand by and let him ignore me," she declared, her eyes blazing with determination. "We need to know what he’s planning, and I’ll do whatever it takes to find out," she said unhappily. It was just a lame excuse of course since her target was to raise her popularity once again.

So she hoped she would get it by doing this.

But this time it didn’t work. Sophia’s attempt to bait the devil emperor into revealing his plans fell flat as his attention shifted to the tanks, particularly focusing on Elio. His words cut through the chaos of battle, dripping with disdain as he regarded the tanks with contempt.

"What are those insects doing..." the devil emperor hissed, his voice laced with displeasure. His gaze bore down on Elio and the tanks, a predatory gleam in his eyes as he assessed the situation before him.

The sound of hooves echoed loudly across the battlefield once again. Elio, leading the tanks toward Behemoth, the devil emperor, and his subordinates, urged his comrades forward in a desperate attempt to escape the enemy’s trap. They needed to pass them!

The air crackled with anticipation as Elio’s voice rang out above the din of battle. "Remember what we did in the last war? Do it like that!" he shouted, his words a rallying cry for the tanks. Despite the overwhelming odds stacked against them, Elio refused to back down, his determination unwavering in the face of adversity.

In addition, the emperor above the Behemoth may not be the real emperor, but a Doppelganger.

With a sense of urgency, the tanks pressed forward, their hearts pounding in their chests as they charged towards their enemy. The devil emperor, seated atop Behemoth, watched their approach with a mix of amusement and disdain, his lips curled into a smirk.

But Elio paid no heed to the devil emperor’s taunts. He knew that their only chance of survival lay in defeating their enemy, no matter the cost. With a fierce determination burning in his eyes, he urged his comrades onward, leading the charge with unwavering resolve.

Elio’s desperate attempt to lead the tanks to safety became apparent. Red_King’s voice boomed across the battlefield, cutting through the chaos. "Arcana, back them up!" he shouted, his tone urgent as he relayed the command once more. The tanks were in dire need of support, especially with the relentless attacks from the emperor’s subordinates bearing down on them.

Arcana’s expression tightened at the command, a sense of urgency gripping him as he realized the gravity of the situation. Without hesitation, he turned to his fellow hunters, his voice ringing out above the clamor of battle. "You heard him! Back up the tanks!" he barked, his words a rallying cry for his comrades.

The hunters nodded in understanding, their eyes flashing with determination as they prepared to lend their aid to their beleaguered allies. With swift efficiency, they adjusted their tactics, taking aim at the eyes of the emperor and Behemoth, their arrows flying true as they sought to create an opening for the tanks to advance.

They unleashed a barrage of arrows toward the emperor and his subordinates, also at the Behemoth, aiming for their vulnerable spots with deadly precision. However, not all of the hunters were able to focus their attention on the emperor. Some remained locked in combat with the monsters below the gate, their arrows raining down upon their foes with relentless ferocity.

Though their efforts were valiant, it was clear that they alone would not be enough to bring down their formidable adversaries.

Nevertheless, the hunters persisted, their arrows flying through the air with unmatched speed and accuracy. Despite the odds stacked against them, they managed to disrupt the enemies’ line of sight, momentarily throwing them off balance and buying precious time for the tanks to advance. Nôv(el)B\\jnn

"Tch! Weak!" the emperor hissed.

But their respite was short-lived, as the emperor unleashed his Telekinesis Blast in response. With a powerful surge of psychic energy, he repelled the arrows with frightening ease, sending them scattering in all directions with a force that left the hunters reeling.

Meanwhile, Elio and the tanks pressed forward, their hearts pounding in their chests as they fought tooth and nail against the ghostly monsters between the Behemoth’s feet.
