Villain: The Play of Destiny

Chapter 455

Chapter 455

Inside a luxurious suite, sat a beautiful lady at a coffee table, drinking a cup of her favourite tea, and on the table was a pretty red envelope, which was still unopened.

As soon as her cup of tea finished, her cell phone rang, and she quickly picked it up.

"Father."

"Roulan." She heard a gruff voice, but still a very gentle voice, and it brought a smile to her face. "Did you meet Erebus?"

"Yes, Father," She replied and then informed him in detail about their meeting.

"What are your impressions of him?" He curiously asked, and Roulan was curious too since she had never remembered her father showing interest in anyone other than her and her mother.

"He's... hard to read." She furrowed her brows. "He can show or, at least, pretend to show respect to those who are lesser than him. He's well-mannered, raised like a proper Prince, and he does not feel the need to remind people who he truly is. In a way, it makes you feel like you are insignificant in his eyes, and I felt this strange constriction on my heart whenever our eyes met, and it took great willpower to maintain the contact."

"Is that so?" Qin Zhijian amusedly asked. "Is he pleasing to the eyes, my Child?"

Roulan raised her brow at that question, sensing that her father was teasing her, but that was how he was when the two were alone.

"He's almost as handsome as you."

"I know that is a lie, my Sweet Child, but thank you for keeping your father's heart."

Roulan giggled when she heard her father sigh and then picked up the envelope.

"Should I read it to you?"

"Can you?" He mysteriously asked, and Roulan frowned at his words as she opened the envelope and took the letter out.

"No," She replied, staring at the beautiful inscriptions that belonged to a language she had never seen before.

And even though she could not read these letters, she still marvelled at how beautiful his writing was.

"Show me." She heard her father's voice, which snapped her out of her trance.

Roulan took a couple of pictures and sent them to her father, and she curiously waited for his answer.

A minute passed, and then another, and she finally heard her father speak again.

"The Lord of Darkness has stated what he wants from us as his Wedding Gift."

"What's that?"

Zhijian remained silent for a few seconds before he replied to her.

"You."

"What?" For a moment, Roulan thought she had heard it wrong, but then a wave of anger bubbled in her heart. "He's despicable!"

Zhijian, who had heard his daughter's outburst, started laughing heartily, and it infuriated his daughter some more.

"Why are you laughing?!"

"Well, the letter was extremely respectful, and he has respectfully asked me for your hand." He told her, still chuckling a little, and Roulan raised her brow at those words.

"Then what was that about me being a gift?"

"He wants you for himself and his wife, Qin Rouxi." He told her.

"He wants me to serve his wife?" She finally got the gist of the things, and her brows furrowed deeper. "What's special about her?"

"She's extremely special," Zhijian told her and she could sense his smile even if she could not see it.

"Tell me."

"Is he pleasing to your eyes, My Child?" Zhijian did not answer her but asked another question instead, and Roulan's face burned up in embarrassment.

"No." She resolutely said.

"You know, I have always been able to sense your lies." Her father teased her some more, and sure enough, he got the reaction he had been looking forward to.

"He's handsome, yes! But I am not a maid!" Roulan angrily shouted. "I am your daughter!"

She was truly angry right now as she could sense that her Father was not against the idea of giving her away to Keith and Rouxi.

"He never said you would be a maid."

"You know what I mean! How could you possibly expect me to serve his Wife when she's even weaker than me? And how special could she possibly be to make me serve her?!"

There was a good minute of silence on the other end, and this allowed Roulan to regain her bearing.

"I am sorry, Father." She said, feeling guilty for raising her voice and losing her composure like that.

"Would you be willing to become my Envoy if I offered you the position?"

Her heart skipped a beat at the question, and then it started racing. It was what she desired and dreamed about, and her body trembled a little as she answered him.

"Yes, Father." She resolutely said.

"Well, then you should not have any problem accepting Keith's offer. After all, what he is offering is much more than what you will get by becoming my Envoy."

"What?" She frowned.

"Qin Rouxi is Nuwa's Inheritor, my Child. A True Inheritor." He did not say any more words, and he did not need to say them either.

Roulan blankly stared at the letter after she heard his words, and Zhijian did not disturb her thoughts as he remained silent for the next few minutes, allowing his child to make up her mind.

"What do you want me to do?" She finally asked, feeling a little lightheaded.

"I want you to do what your heart and mind tells you to do. Take your time. If worst comes to the worst, your Father will always protect you."

His words brought tears to her eyes, and her heart welled up with warmth. She knew she could always trust her father, and she was smart enough to sense that he was not against her becoming Keith's Concubine and serving Nuwa in the future.

She could not find an excuse to reject such an offer either. What reasonable excuse could she possibly make?

A True Inheritor of a Primordial God was asking for her hand in marriage, even if it was the position of a Concubine that was being offered to her, she was still going to be married to him and would be his wife. And he was indeed pleasing to her eyes, and not just pleasing, but just perfect.

"I need some time to think." She told her father.

"He wants an answer by Friday. Let me know if you still need some more time and haven't made up your mind by then. I will deal with the rest."

"Thank you, Father."

"Get some sleep." He advised and then ended the call.

Roulan put the phone aside and stood up, picking up the letter from the table, and then walked over to her bed before slumping into it.

Her pink eyes vacantly stared at the ceiling, and in her mind revolved all the information she had on Keith, his family, and her meeting with him today.

And then Rouxi's face appeared in her mind.

Being a True Inheritor of Nuwa meant that she was the same as her father, who was the True Inheritor of Ren. Their Inheritances were equal, and they belonged to the same Pantheon too. This meant that she could still freely visit her parents, and she would never have to worry about falling into an enemy camp.

She already had an answer. It was not hard to find it. And the only reason she had asked for some time was to see if this answer would change in the next two days.

On the other side of the city, inside a mansion, a certain young man was sitting on a rocking chair, resting his head back with his eyes closed.

And in his mind was the face of a certain girl who had visited him last evening.

She was beautiful, breathtakingly beautiful, and she had an inborn pride in her bones that attracted him to her. And more than anything, she was the daughter of the Ancestor of the Qin Sect, the oldest Mortal God in existence, and possibly the strongest Mortal on Gaia.

She was a Qin, his Blood, and she was someone worthy of him.

His train of thought suddenly shifted to another face, an even more beautiful face, and his brows furrowed.

"Qin Rouxi..."

The new wife of Erebus turned out to be his cousin, and he did not know why it made him feel extremely uneasy in his heart.

He could not help but wonder what would have things been like if he had come to China earlier. If he had asked for her hand, the Qin Sect would have not refused him, and he could have belonged to him.

The more he thought about her, the more restless he became, and then he opened his eyes as he made up his mind.

Qin Feng decided to not miss the opportunity and ask for Qin Roulan's hand. It would be immensely helpful to him in the future if he was the Son-In-Law of the Inheritor of Ren.

"Qin Feng." A sweet voice called out to him, and the girl, wearing a beautiful black dress, walked into the room.

"How do I look?" She twirled around, giving him a good look at her figure, and he smiled.

"Beautiful." He answered quite honestly and felt the fire in his loins light up.

She truly possessed a figure that could tempt any man, and she did not lose to Valerie in any way. Well, except that she was an Ordinary Mortal and not a Mortal God. But since he had decided to take her as his wife, he was going to train her to be a worthy wife for him.

"Thank you!" Sisi brightly said when he came over to her but blushed when his hands landed on her ass. "We have to go out for shopping..."

"Later..." He cut her off as he sealed her mouth and picked her up to take her to the bedroom.

Away from them, inside a Hotel where a banquet was being held, a certain young man, who was sitting at the head of the table, suddenly heard a prompt in his mind.

{Ding! A change in the Destiny's Plan for the Child of Destiny, Qin Feng, has been detected...}

A light smile crept on his lips and a mischievous glint passed his eyes.

It was something he had been expecting since he had met the Potential Heroine of Destiny in the morning.
