Chapter 67 - Ji Yao Being Wilful
For the second time Ji Yao had slept in Rui Fei's embrace but this time he was not only a willing participant but he had also slept peacefully like this sort of thing was a regular occurrence.
He was so comfortable that it would be easy to forget that he was the one struggling last night during that embarrassing incident. Feeling bitter he had tried to push this boulder off his body but the more he struggled the longer the joystick so he decided that it was in his best interest to stop struggling.
Thinking that just like last time Rui Fei would eventually loosen his arms and iron-clad thighs he tried to relax. But the moment he chose to stop struggling there was no way of regaining independence. It was game over from then on.
As to how he slept even he doesn't know when or how it happened.
In fact, the two of them slept so well that it took Rui Yewan walking in for them to wake up. Rui Yewan didn't mean to budge in either. He was sent by Ji Wen to wake the two up as the sun was already a quarter up the sky.
Them being asleep till this time was highly unusual and concerning that the pirate king sent Rui Yewan over to wake them up. Rui Yewan wasn't keen on waking up the both of them especially Rui Fei because whenever anyone disturbed his sleep after a night of restlessness he would take it out on the culprit.
Since he had no choice in the matter he decided to take a guerrilla warfare type of approach which is attack and retreat before the enemy retaliates. He tried knocking a couple of times but there wasn't any response.

What he didn't realise was that Rui Fei was enveloped by a reposeful scent powerful enough to sweep away his pain and nightmares placing him in a peaceful plain that was hard to wake up from due to reluctance.
Since knocking like a police officer didn't help, Rui Yewan hesitantly slid the door open as he whispered Rui Fei's name. Making sure to maintain his distance he called out but it was as though the two had passed out after sleeping with a sedative incense stick burning.
He took a glimpse of the room but couldn't see an incense stick so what made these two sleep like the dead? While scanning the room Rui Yewan realised something mindblowing. Rui Fei wasn't sleeping in his bed, in fact, it looked like his bed was never slept on.
This meant these two were.... sharing a bed? Well, there was really nothing to fuss about because there is clearly nothing wrong with boys sharing the same bed, right? Rui Yewan didn't see anything wrong up until the point when he saw how these two were sharing a bed.
His shameless brother was outright spooning Ji Yao like he was afraid he would get robbed of his body pillow. The two looked like a pair of lovers snuggling together after a night of wrestling on the bed. It seemed last night's events had tired them out that they couldn't wake up early the next day.
"Dage! Wake up," he said in a panic. He was panicking because he saw Rui Fei's hand slid down Ji Yao's waist in a licentious manner as he drew their bodies together.
That panicked shout seemed to do the trick because Rui Fei opened his eyes with a languorous feel. Without thinking he picked up one of Ji Yao's boots neatly aligned on the side of the bed and threw it at the intruder. Rui Yewan dodged skillfully.
"Get out," he spoke before placing his hand around Ji Yao's chest and nuzzled the man's neck like a naughty kitten.
Rui Yewan, "...."
It was then little miss orange casually strode in chewing on a piece of dried peach when she saw Ji Yao lift his hand and stroke Rui Fei's hair in his sleep.
Her heart stopped for a split second as she stood there slack-jawed with a half-eaten piece of dried peach at the corner of her lips. But before she could enjoy the scenery to her heart's content her eyes descended into darkness blocking her view.
"Dage! Wake up!" yelled Rui Yewan all wide-eyed as he pressed his fingers together to prevent Rui Li from peeking through the gaps.
This shout didn't faze Rui Fei but it definitely woke Ji Yao up. His reaction was much more epic than that of Rui Fei. He was so shocked that he pushed Rui Fei off the bed without thinking.
Thud!
"Hng..... Yao-ge! What was that for?..... Aiyo.....," wailed Rui Fei faking an injury on the floor.
All it took was one glimpse from Ji Yao to know he was faking it. He looked at the Rui siblings and felt his face heat up from embarrassment. Without giving it careful thought he put on his boots and walked out on the three of them without a word.
"Yao-ge, you are..... we-wearing ..... ah, never mind, he is gone," said Rui Yewan with the latter half of his sentence said in a murmur.
Ji Yao decided if he was going to be embarrassed he can be embarrassed in his father's room and that was exactly where he went. Clearly, nothing happened between them apart from the joystick incident but he was still so ashamed that he had to get out of there.
Anywhere but his room was fine so he chose his father's quarters. He just wordlessly entered and slipped into his father's bed disregarding the people in Ji Wen's presence.
Ji Wen, "..."
He had been sitting at the table discussing the strategy to deal with the royal armada coming for them when his cold distant son rocked up into his room acting willful like a spoilt brat. His actions were so overly dramatized that even Big Hei, Xunshi Zhe and Old Du were taken by surprise.
Was this their young master or he had been replaced by someone else? Ji Wen didn't want them to ruin this rare moment so he waved them off and the three tiptoed out of there.
Ji Wen walked over to the bulge under the quilt and quietly lay beside him. Ji Yao obviously felt the other half of the bed sink a little as the person shuffled close to him but he played dead.
Ji Wen smiled as he resisted the urge to laugh. If he laughed then his son would be so embarrassed that something like this would never happen again.. He poked the dumpling under the quilt and said, "Who bullied you, huh? Tell dad and I will kick their ass."
