Chapter 6 - KEENAN'S WORRIES
"Elle, are you all right?" Ellena managed to be surprised, when Filia suddenly rushed to hug her.
"What are you doing, Filia?" asked Elena curiously.
"Don't pretend you don't know. Look! Your leg is bruised like that, are you still not going to tell me?" Filia protested putting on a worried expression.
"Ahh, it's okay. It's just a minor injury," Ellena whispered flatly, as if nothing had happened to her.
"What are you saying? In fact, you walk imperfectly like that," replied Filia, who had already noticed Ellena's slightly limping steps.
"Never mind, Filia, I'm fine. Don't worry too much about me," Ellena avoided.
"How can I not worry about you, when you are in this condition. You even destroyed my motorbike, what exactly happened to you, Elle?" Filia asked probingly.
Ellena seemed to stop her steps right in the doorway of their boarding house. She looked at Filia regretfully.
"So, you've know the truth?" Ellena couldn't believe that Filia could find out what had happened to her so quickly. "Sorry, I've destroyed your motorbike, I really didn't mean to, Filia," she whispered later.
Ellena really felt bad, because she couldn't take good care of Filia's motorbike, even though it was the only vehicle Filia had. She was very sorry. If time could be turned back, maybe she wouldn't have borrowed her best friend's motorbike.
"Never mind, forget about it! The most important thing is your condition," replied Filia who didn't even care about her broken motorbike. "I'll treat your wound immediately," she added, then she entered the house.
"Wait!" Ellena's call instantly made Filia's steps stop. "How did you know about it?" She asked curiously.

"Ahh, I also don't know who the person who came here and brought the bad news was," answered Filia. "He just said that you had an accident and gave the new motorbike to me," he explained later.
"So, that's the motorbike that was sent to replace your broken one?" Ellena seemed to be pointing at the new motorbike that Filia was referring to.
"I think so," answered Fillia, then stepped back.
"Didn't he say anything else?" asked Ellena while following Filia's steps towards the living room.
"Yes."
"What is it?" asked Ellena looking enthusiastic.
Filia walked to the kitchen not far from the room, preparing warm water that she would use to compress Ellena's wound. Meanwhile, Ellena seemed to have sat back on the gray sofa in the living room, where they were watching television.
"That person told me that he is the messenger of the person who hit you this morning," explained Filia as she walked over to Ellena with a stainless bowl filled with warm water and a small towel.
"May I know who is the person who has the heart to cause you harm like this? Do you know that person?" Filia sat beside Ellena, then placed the bowl on the table in front of them.
"I also don't know who the person is. After the driver got off and apologized, they immediately left," answered Ellena lying.
"How lucky they are to take responsibility for the damage to my motorbike." Filia started to compress the wound on Ellena's leg very carefully. "But, you're injured like this, don't they offer you free treatment?" She asked, looking up at Elena.
Ellena was silent for a moment, then slightly hesitantly shook her head, responding to Filia's question.
"Ah, that person is so mean! Don't they know that you are hurt like this? In fact, they didn't even take you home. How heartless!" Filia cursed feeling annoyed.
"Never mind, let it go! Besides, my wound isn't that bad. Don't overdo it, Filia," replied Ellena.
"Still they are evil!" said Filia snickered.
"I'm tired, I want to rest." Ellena got up from her seat, intending to hurry up to the room, before Filia asked any more questions.
"Ellena, where are you going? I haven't finished treating your leg yet!" Again Filia raised her protest. However, Ellena didn't respond and didn't want to care.
"She always been like that. Can't she just obey my orders just once, for her own good?" Filia grumbled which Ellena could still hear. However, Elena remained unmoved.
That was all Ellena could do to avoid the questions Filia might throw at her. She was really at a loss as to how to explain the incident to Filia. She was sure that Filia would be very surprised if she found out the truth. Moreover, Filia knew Lucas very well who was also her boss.
Ellena lay down on the bed, then took out her cellphone from the bag she placed beside her. She seemed to check the cellphone, maybe there was an incoming message or call that she had not had time to open.
Sure enough. It turned out that there were several incoming calls that she didn't have time to answer, because she deliberately turned off the ringing of his cellphone. Yes, the call was none other than Keenan. It was Keenan's habit to contact Ellena during recess. However, Ellena intends to ignore Keenan's attempts to contact her.
'Honey, are you still not resting?'
Ellena was just about to put her cellphone back down, suddenly a whatsapp message from Keenan made her undo her intention.
Ellena took a breath, then started typing something on the screen of her cellphone, in response to a message for Keenan.
'Sorry, I just took a break.'
Ellena immediately sent the message to Keenan. Less than a minute, she had received a message back from his lover.
'What time is it? Why did you just rest?'
'Hurry up and eat, don't let your stomach hurt, For I won't let that happen to you!'
'I love you so much. Let me know when you're not busy!'
Through a message, Keenan seemed to remind Ellena to keep her health. It was clear that he really loved his girlfriend. That's why, Ellena didn't want to waste a man like Keenan.
'Yes, of course.'
Elena replied very curtly. Something she doesn't usually do. Previously, she always felt happy when she got a message or a phone call from Keenan, in contrast to now where she seemed to be avoiding her lover. It wasn't that she didn't expect it, but that she felt guilty towards Keenan, for having accepted the offer to marry Lucas. Somehow she explained all that to her lover.
Ellena still didn't have the courage to tell Keenan about the problem that was happening to her. She didn't want, if Keenan knew the truth, it would ruin their relationship.. Ellena didn't want to lose Keenan so soon.
