Chapter 73: The Hidden Entrances
Exactly thirty seconds later, Vera came out of their hiding place with everyone else. They were all wearing the Xanzion Uniforms that had been prepared and charged down.
The Xanzion Soldiers noticed that and were alert. Although the Uniform was the same, they had found othr groups also wearing their Uniforms.
Suddenly, Vera began to exclaim! "We found a secret passage on the back! Quick, we neem to blast the entrance!"
"Halt!" However, the closest soldiers to them didn't charge. "Show your Magic Energy Signature!" As he said that, he extended his hand with an MCOM in his hand. The other soldiers on his back all pointed their weapons at Linfel's group.
"We are from the same country, idiots! Give me this fucking MCOM!" Vera said and approached with her Familiar. She grabbed the MCOM and used her Magic Energy Signature on it before throwing it back.
The man quickly checked and finally sighed in relief. "Lativia, right? What were you doing out of your position?"
Vera's expression turned dark. "Didn't you see? Several squads from Heffal appeared all around! It is obvious they had been hiding to ambush us. We simply started to search places where we had no eyes. Shouldn't you be doing the same?
No, forget that! We found a secret entrance there on top! We need more soldiers!"
The guy still had some doubts. According to the information in the MCOM, Lativia was part of the 22nd Battalion, which should have been fighting at the frontlines. However, the Magic Energy Signature doesn't lie. That woman is definitely Lativia.
In the end, the guy turned around and passed his orders. "You, you, and you! Go up there and check if there is truly a hidden entrance!"
"Yes, sir!" Three soldiers quickly passed by Alvin and the others and reached the top of the elevation in a few seconds. When they checked the bushes, they quickly found the sealed entrance that Linfel's group had passed through. "It's here! There is a hidden cave entrance sealed by metal!"
"Fuck!" The captain of that group cursed. Now, it was obvious Lativia wasn't lying. Without wasting time, he used his MCOM to warn the commanders, who instantly sent hundreds of soldiers to that hidden passage sealed.

Not only that but with the discovery of that hidden entrance, it became clear that the other squads from Heffal probably used similar things to get so close to their regiment of provisions. In an instant, the thousands of soldiers in that place began to look for hidden entrances to the caves below... and they found various!
"Sir!" Vera... or Lativia, in this case, quickly spoke. "What are our orders? Should we also search those tunnels?"
The guy narrowed his eyes. He was still curious about why someone who was supposed to be on the front lines was all the way back here. But then again, her squad had just made a great contribution by finding those entrances. Not to mention that in a war, it wasn't hard to believe some information was registered incorrectly, especially since it was just a small squad.
However, his cautious nature won, and he looked at Alvin a few meters away. "You, come here."
Alvin quickly approached. "Yes, sir!"
"Use your Magic Energy Signature!" He spoke, passing the MCOM to Alvin this time.
Alvin didn't delay and used his Magic Energy Signature.
"Romulo, same squad as Lativia..." Finally, he truly accepted this group was from his own country. "Why are you not on the frontlines?"
"Frontlines?" Everyone looked at him, puzzled. "We have never been in the frontlines, sir."
"Sure enough..." That confirmed his suspicion. "Forget about it for now. Spread out and look for more of those hidden entrances."
"Yes, sir!" Without wasting time, Vera brought her group away to look for hidden entrances like the one they had just reported. However...
*Boom!*
A sudden explosion took place not far away. A giant ball of fire and Magic Energy spread all around, blasting everything in its way with intense Destructive Magic Power. One of the guys who were trying to destroy the trucks with the Fuel Rods succeeded!
Going back a minute in the past, Linfel explained his plan to everyone. Heffal had closed their path of retreat, and that same path was also camouflaged. However, Heffal had never thought that that same closed entrance could be used in such a manner.
The plan was simple. They knew there were more of those entrances and that below, many intricate tunnels could be found. As long as they pointed out the entrance of one of those tunnels, Xanzion commanders would understand that there was bound to be more. After all, they had just found three hidden squads that appeared out of nowhere.
They weren't idiots. There was a chance of more of those hidden tunnels being all around the place their trucks were passing by, so the order to look for those entrances was passed ahead. That mobilized at least half of all the soldiers in that provisions regiment. Xanzion forces in this place were already on high alert because of the groups that tried to run away.
They couldn't give Heffal a chance to strike from within their regiment.
Yet, what one would say to be the right call... at that moment... was the worst thing the Xanzion Forces could do. All the soldiers began to look for these hidden tunnels, and that caused the entire regiment to have soldiers sneaking everywhere. To make things worse, they did indeed find more of those tunnels, so more soldiers were mobilized.
That gave the hidden suicide group, the same one that was trying to destroy the vehicles with the Magic Fusion Fuel Rods, the necessary distraction to get closer to those trucks. Finally, one of them succeeded and injected the device with Reactive Magic Energy. From that moment onwards, Xanzion Provision Regiment was done for.
One explosion would carry out even more of the Reactive Magic Energy to other trucks carrying stocks of those Fuel Rods. A chain reaction initiated, causing those other trucks to also explode, and so did other provisions that could add to the destruction's power.
Linfel used that single hidden entrance they came from, the same one that was closed to trap them out, to cause the biggest commotion of all! Now, the fireworks wouldn't stop anytime soon.
As for those Magic Energy Signatures... they were obviously copied by Linfel. One must not forget that Linfel already went to battle one time against Xanzion as soon as he arrived. During that time, he made sure to take a look at the Magic Energy inside the bodies of the soldiers they killed and remembered them.
When Vera and Alvin used their Magic Energy Signature in the MCOM, in fact, it was Linfel who sneakily moved between the two and used his altered Magic Energy to create the fake information.
*Boom!*
Not long after, another explosion took place. The previous explosion had too much Reactive Magic Energy in it, and the Fuel Rods in the second truck with even more of them reacted to it.
"Not good!" Everyone who knew about the Fuel Rods grew in panic. "Run!"
Vera and their group didn't even need to pretend anymore. They began to run with all their might. They knew what was coming. As long as one of the trucks exploded with Reactive Magic Energy, the other trucks that had as many Fuel Rods in the same place would definitely follow suit. They were still in the range of the explosion, so they had to run as fast as they could.
*Boom!*
*Boom!*
*Boom!*
Another three of the seven known trucks that carried the Magic Fusion Fuel Rods became another three big balls of fire and reactive magic energy. Thousands of soldiers were killed in an instant, and it caused even things to explode.
Sure, the Fuel Rods were the main target since they would cause the main explosion. Still, this is a provisions regiment, so they were definitely carryin a lot of other things that could cause more explosions as well. It's just that it wouldn't have happened if the Fuel Rods hadn't been destroyed first.
"Fuck! We are dead!" Julius cried, seeing that the explosions were catching up to them.
"Shut your mouth and run!" Vera shouted back.
"Come with me!" It was then that Linfel spoke and changed direction.
Everyone looked at him and didn't know what to do. Linfel had changed direction. He wasn't running in the direction of the explosions, but he wasn't running away from them either. He was going sideways.
*Zush, zush!*
Yet, Alvin and Milia didn't think twice before changing direction and following Linfel. They knew very well how sensitive Linfel was to Magic Energy. If he changed direction, it was because he found a better route to help them survive.
A few seconds later, Linfel jumped in the middle of a few rocks. Milia and Alvin didn't care and did the same, disappearing in a moment. Only when Claus and the others jumped into that place did they finally understand. That was another one of the hidden caves, although this one was not used. It didn't matter, though. It was the perfect place to hide.
*Brummmmm...*
*Bang!*
A blast came from the entrance, almost hitting Julius's back. They continued to run while the cave trembled. Rocks fell, and they didn't know if it would hold the destructive power. They found a place to escape the explosions, but they might end up being buried alive as well.
