Chapter 86 A Slight Problem

The guild elder frowned.

But the tank stood in front of him, tall as he was, blocking his path. And the other tanks were also confused, looking at this particular one.

"So it is finally happening. I wonder what dropped, for him to go ahead and try to block someone higher up in the hierarchy." Myriad Arrows looked at the show, though he didn't like it one bit.

"Are you going to take the items for yourself? Just keep them instead of handing them over to the guild like we should?" the elder asked the huge man in front of him.

"You are Faceless Darkness right? The guild elder that is in charge of the administrative work of a third of the current guild?" the tank asked.

"Yes. That is right. What do you want?" Faceless Darkness had no clue where this was going. There was not a hint of anger or condescension in the tank's voice. He was talkign politely.

"Right. There have been a few deaths in the raid so far, and although we haven't collected all of the loot yet, there are a lot of items that belong to them. And yet, I see so many pocketing these items up without any words. How are we sure that when these players return, they will get what they dropped?" the tank asked.

Faceless Darkness was flabbergasted. He was expecting a fight here. For someone to block him at this time, he thougth that it woudl be a fight to see why the guild deserved the items instead of them.

The tank seemed to read Faceless Darkness' mind.

"Haha! I do not want to bite the hand that feeds me. We got so many benefits from the guild already. With the equipment that we have, if we go outside, then everyone will think that we are truly rich, to have such expensive equipment. Why would I want to steal from a guild that gives me so much?" the tank laughed.

The tense atmosphere suddenly disappeared the moment that the tank said this. He voiced the thoughts of so many players here.

"I will make sure that the players will register all of the loot that they collected and will see to it that they will get what they dropped." Faceless Darkness nodded.

"Now then, I need to check what loot has dropped. It better be something good after all that we have done to beat the goddamn boss, it better have dropped an Epic item." he said as the tank in front of him moved away.

The circle of tanks also split up, and everyone could see the loot that dropped.

Although the details remained opaque, everyone could see the hue on the items. It was only blue. There was not a single purple hue in all the items that dropped. An Epic grade item did not drop, which was quite disappointing.

"It looks like we are not so lucky. Only rare grade items." Faceless Darkness sighed as he reached in to collect the items.

Clap!

Clap!

Clap!

"I am truly impressed with everything that you guys have done. Even though I couldn't be here for the whole fight, you have showed me enough. This guild is only bound to grow as long as we can keep this going." Myriad Arrows' voice rang through the room, echoing throughout.

"The guild coleader!" someone realized.

"Now then. I hope that you don't resent me for coming out after all this time. Although I ached to try and win the fight, I just couldn't. Boss' orders. I had to make sure that you guys could finish this on your own." Myriad Arrows chuckled.

"You can just take in all of the loot and we will store it in the guild once we are done with the raid. But do not worry. We are not done yet. As you guys have seen, the rare equipment that is sometimes dropped here is not normal equipment. It is part of a set. Although every raid will only give nine or ten pieces of rare items, as long as we can run this enough, we will be able to get enough to make this trip worth it." Myriad Arrows declared.

As Faceless Darkness collected all of the loot, one of the guild members found the courage to approach Myriad Arrows.

"What do you mean, make this trip worth it, guild coleader? We finished the raid, and we are even the first guild to ever do that! Isn't that enough?  I mean, I am more than happy to go ahead and start another raid, but this was a good trip right?" the member asked.

"A good raid, yes. A good trip, not yet. Do you think that you guys earnt a lot of money on this trip? Let me tell you what the true picture is. It wasn't cheap getting you to the raid here. And earning money isn't as easy as when you grinded in the Silver Sword Fields. Just like the price of the beaks dropped so hard that what got you thirty silvers then will only get you five, maybe six silvers now, the grinding that you did now will only come to around ten silvers, maybe twenty per person."

"And do you even know how much it cost to send all of you here? It was expensive, that was what. You have to earn back atleast twice, maybe thrice that considering we have to go back home."

It dawned on them at that moment.

It cost ten silvers to come to the raid, and another tensilverss to go back. That wasn't cheap at all. It would cost a lot! And that was all money that the guild was spending on them once again. This was just a charity toward them.

"Good then. So you guys understood? Then why don't all of you collect the loot so that we can run this back? I will be with you again, but I won't be helping you one bit."
