A Husband For Killer Mom

Chapter 317 - 317 Ch. 317 Is It A Morning Sickness?

317 Ch. 317 Is It A Morning Sickness?

Elliot and Lori looked at each other when they saw Richardr’s worried expression about catching up with their mother.

“Eli, is mommy sick?”

Elliot shook his head and said, “Let’s hope nothing’s wrong with her. We better eat first before the pasta gets cold.”

Lori nodded in agreement and started eating her pasta with her twin.

The person next to the kids’ table only ordered drinks while looking at the twins sitting nicely while eating the pasta they ordered.

Meanwhile, in the bathroom, Anxia vomited all of her stomach contents. She didn’t understand what made her feel nauseous to hurl like this. She was sure she wasn’t sick or had a fever, so what was wrong with her now?

“Xia Xia?”

Anxia could hear her husband’s voice from outside but didn’t have the energy to answer him. As long as she could remember, this was the first time Anxia had felt helpless when her body wasn’t in pain.

With great effort, Anxia tried to walk out of the ladies’ restroom to her husband.

.....

“Xia Xia, are you okay?” Richard held his wife’s shoulders in worry.

“I’m fine.”

“We should go to the hospital.”

“No need. Why are we going to the hospital? I only need to rest for a bit.”

“Are you sure?”

“Let’s go back.”

Richard gently but swiftly put his arm around her waist in case she was about to faint. Anxia did say she would be fine, but Richard saw Anxia paled-faced, which made him unable to calm down.

He was itching to take his wife to the hospital or call the family’s doctor to come to the house. But he knew that Anxia hated doctors because she was traumatized by being lied to by an obstetrician from Russia.

Plus, the last time Anxia went to the hospital to check her womb, Anxia got the worst news of all time, so his wife no longer wanted to step foot in the hospital.

Lingering in the hospital made Anxia feel fed up and wanted to set fire to the building, which was filled with people wearing white robes. If only her father hadn’t been hospitalized, surely Anxia would never have stepped foot into this building for the rest of her life.

Anxia once asked her husband if they could bring her father home and monitor his progress.

Richard didn’t mind, but the thought of an unsolved puzzle made him doubt whether their home was the safest place for the almost hopeless old man.

In addition, the owner of the hospital and the doctor who looked after Zhou Yu Hue were his acquaintances and the son of his father’s old colleague. If in case, they decided to go on vacation for a few weeks; they would not leave Zhou Yu Hue in the house at the risk of a spy sneaking in to be his housemaid.

Leaving the safety and protection of his father-in-law to someone he trusted was much safer than in their home.

As soon as Anxia and Richard sat back down at their children’s table, the Cerberus, disguised as a commoner, finished the drinks he ordered and returned to keep watch outside.

“Are you okay?” Elliot and Lori asked simultaneously, touching and warming Anxia’s heart.

“I’m fine. I think I ate too much pizza yesterday,” Anxia answered while smiling as cheerfully as she could not make her kids worry. But the nausea feeling returned when the cheesy smell wafted around her nostril.

Lori noticed her mother’s pained expression and got out of her chair to rub her mother’s stomach too. Seeing what Lori was doing, who was so concerned and worried about her mother, Richard couldn’t help but smile in amusement. His position as a man who wanted to protect Anxia and pamper her was taken over by his children.

When Richard brings them all to his office, and by chance, a stranger guy who doesn’t recognize that Anxia is his wife―tries to hit on Anxia, Elliot, and Lori will chase the man away and protect their mother from strangers.

Well, the two of them didn’t need to because Anxia was very good at driving away insignificant bugs. However, this naughty wife pretended she could not refuse a man’s invitation in front of her children. She did it on purpose because she wanted to see the twins’ mischievous ideas to keep the man away from her. Obviously, Anxia enjoyed her children’s overprotectiveness.

“Mama, could it be that you are experiencing ‘that’?” Elliot asked his mother with an innocent tone and intelligent eyes.

“That? What is that ‘that’?”

“You know what a woman usually goes through every month.”

“Ah, that’s right.” Richard had the same suspicion, too, and asked his wife about this, but Anxia didn’t confirm it. “Baby, we should go home now. We can continue our walking another day.” Then, we will remove these ridiculous sweaters; they didn’t need to wear them until the sunset!

Only Richard and Elliot were smiling at each other meaningfully.

“Fine.”

Anxia did agree to her husband going home and felt regretful that she had ruined her family’s fun today. However, there was one thing troubling her mind―she wouldn’t have noticed if Elliot hadn’t brought it up.

She tried to remember the last time she had her period, and it hit her, she was eighteen days late!

Not to mention, she hadn’t felt this horrible morning sickness since she...

Could it be... could it be...

Anxia didn’t dare to hope, but… how could she not hope with this similar symptom?

As soon as they arrived home, Anxia immediately got out of the car, making her husband and two children gasp in confusion. They wondered if Anxia had recovered that she was so excited to get out of the car and run into the house.

Paying no heed to the astonished looks from her family, Anxia headed to her room to open her makeup drawer and took one… no, she took three pregnancy tests.

She and Richard had indeed given up on themselves being unable to conceive anymore. Still, Anxia secretly bought a pregnancy test kit and checked it regularly every two months.

Will the results that will come out this time match her expectations?
