Chapter 11: Survivor from a far.

Slash!
Cling!
Spark flew up as a short sword emitting a weak white light slashed toward the bronze-skinned zombie at the front. However, surprisingly, the slash only leaves a shallow wound on the zombie's body.
Feeling nothing, the bronze-skinned zombie continued its attack, raising his hand to swipe while occasionally opening its mouth wide in an attempt to bite the attacker.
Unfortunately, with the speed of the attacker, it always manages to evade the zombie's attack in time.
Die!
Slash!
Soon after minutes of intense fighting, the sharp sword finally penetrated the head of the bronze zombie, leaving a hole in its head that was gushing with gooey white fluid.

Seeing that the bronze-skinned zombie is finally dead, the young man at the age of mids 20 and wearing light armor wiped the sweat on his forehead.
With a grave look, he cast his gaze toward the far distance in the north. There, he saw hordes of hordes of zombies walking in his general direction.
With a heavy heart.

Glancing for a second time, the young man turned around and rushed toward the south without looking back.
"Where did those zombies come from?" He thought for a while as he fastened his speed, moving to the high building thousands of meters away.
As soon as he reaches the front of the building, the young man slightly bends his knees and jumps, causing the concrete below him to dent slightly. With a single jump, the young man reached the rooftop of the building.
With a light move, he descends to the floor of the rooftop and immediately looks at the corner of the rooftop.
"What is the situation in the North-West?" The young man said in a deep voice, not hiding the grave expression on his face.
As soon as he finished speaking an exhausted voice entered his ears. "Not good... there are thousands of zombies heading towards our camp. Although most of them are below level 20 there are a couple of them that reach the Foundation Level 1 and above."
Pausing slightly to catch his breath, the exhausted voice continued. "How about the north?"
The young man sighed deeply upon hearing the news before replying. "It is the same as the North-West... What should we do? Do we need to relocate?"
"No, It is useless. It is best if we reduce their number as much as possible before they reach the settlement."
Thinking for a moment, the young man nodded his head gravely before dashing towards another direction where their companions were investigating.

Leo transverses silently inside the hordes of zombies while his "Mist of Illusion" is still activated. It has been 4 days since he received the free 2 attribute points from his first 10 kills of the zombies, so far life is still boring for current Leo.
His only hobbies so far are his memories from the past, his progress, and watching zombies fall under the effect of his skill (Watching them act strangely. ).
Although he was quite tired and bored, he still harbored hope inside him.

As he was pondering deep within, a sudden flash of light caught his attention. Meters away from him, Leo saw that besides the really dead zombie(Literally dead) a white scroll came out from within, giving off a flash of weak light in the surroundings.
Curious about the sudden appearance of the scroll, Leo approaches the light before extending his tendril and lightly touching the scroll with it.
Ding!
[ Congratulations upon receiving a white skill scroll! Please check your inbox for information! ]
"Ehh?" Upon touching the scroll, Leo was startled to notice that the scroll banished to the thin air as if it never existed in the first place. If not for the notification that appeared in front of him, he would even believe that he was under the effect of his skill!
Surprised upon seeing something new, Leo immediately opened his interface before locking at the inventory below.
Ding!
[ Build up Stamina (Uncommon) - Increased the stamina of a being by 2 per level of the skill.
Activation: Permanent.
Upgrade Cost: 1 Skill Point!
Note: A skill that is uncommonly found upon killing stamina-based beings! ( Couldn't be learned.) ]
"Wait... I could find skills by killing monsters?" Leo's imaginary mouth gaped a little upon learning the simple fact. However, instantly upon seeing the note below, his anticipation of finally having a chance to learn a new skill vanished into thin air.
"What kind of scroll is this? Why couldn't I learn this skill!!" Leo cursed inside his mind when he saw the "Couldn't be leaned" on the note.
It is because I'm a ghost? Isn't this too unfair?
Infuriated that he couldn't learn the skill, Leo closed the inventory of the system as he inhaled a large amount of air to calm his nerves down ( Don't ask me, he did it mentally ).
As he was prepared to deactivate his "Mist of Illusion" skill and slip underground to go to the building to rest, a sudden sound of sparks followed by a loud thud entered his senses.
Looking at the front horde, Leo could faintly see the commotion happening there.
Bang!
Thud!
As if something entered the senses of the zombies around him. The zombies around him instantly seem to get injected with adrenaline and suddenly rush towards the origin of the sounds.

"What the..." Leo's soul body suddenly got dispersed to the surroundings when the zombies beyond him accidentally hit his body of smoke. He still didn't even manage to converge when another zombie ran into the smoke.
Damn, what is happening!
Leo cursed inside his head as intense pain hit him when his smoke got dispersed. Gritting his imaginary teeth, Leo rushed underground before moving to one of the nearest buildings in the surroundings.
Sighing in relief, Leo emerges to the ground before floating to the top of the house. He wanted to find out what kind of commotion was happening in the front line of the hordes.
Floating unhurriedly, Leo moved from house to building, slowly approaching the front of the hordes where the fight sound originated. Using it to hide his presence as his mana still had not recovered.
Soon, after minutes of cautiously approaching, Leo finally could see the commotion that was happening in front.
