Damn, I Awakened With A Horror System!

Chapter 12: Above Normal Level

...

What the...

Just as Leo phrases through the wall, a loud clinging sound suddenly echoes near him followed by the sparks hitting his soul body. Although the attack is not directed at him, Leo still took quite a damage.

-5 health

Leo groaned in pain as he immediately retrieved his body and phrase back through the solid wall before quickly activating his "Invisibility" skill.

'What is that?' Leo takes a deep breath mentally as he calms down his aching soul.

Just as he planned to take another look outside, the solid wall beside him suddenly crumbled as a huge object/being was smashed through it.

Shocked by the sudden intrusion, Leo stared at the gravel meters away from him where the being got smashed to the floor.

Lying there, a pale yellowish human similar to a cadaver could be seen lying there quietly, Its full white eyes devoid of irises and emotionlessly stared at the ceiling of the building, its thoughts were unknown. Raising its arms, Leo could see the sharp nails that almost reached 12 inches long revealing a metallic gleam as it stood up unhurriedly.

"What the..."

[ Hunter Zombie: Foundation Level 5 ]

Leo stared at the information that appeared on top of the head of the zombie in shock and horror.

"Shoot... is that the one who always hit me!"

Just as Leo turned around to flee, afraid that the zombie would notice him, a sudden fast figure suddenly appeared in front of the yellowish zombie and hit it, causing it to take a step back.

Boom!

Bang!

"What the... Don't fight here!" Leo shouted inside his head as he quickly phrases through the wall beside him. Moving through the wall, Leo didn't forget to take a glance behind him to see the attacker of the zombie.

Tilting his imaginary head, Leo saw a two-meter gray wolf brandishing its claws toward the zombie's body in the fastest way, but only leaving shallow wounds in the process.

Ding!

Ding! Ding! Slash!

Sparks of fire flew towards the air as the wolf slashed at the zombie in front of him. The zombie overwhelmed raises its sharp nails and swats the wolf in front of him in vain.

Fast!

Leo's imaginary eyes constricted upon seeing the speed of the wolf.

Every time the zombie's sharp nails approach the body of the wolf, the wolf would slightly, unimaginably tilt its body to evade.

Wait... What, that is not a wolf but a cat!

Leo suddenly curses inside his head upon seeing the description on the top of the seemingly wolf in astonishment.

[ Household Cat: Foundation Level 7 ]

"F**k, how could be that a household cat!

"That is fuc**ing two-meter tall wolf! It is better to say that this is a dominator cat!"

Leo silently cursed as he moved forward to the nearest rooftop building, not far away from the fight, afraid that they would hit him accidentally.

He wanted to see how the fight between the two would end.

***

Floating above the rooftop of the building near the fight, Leo stared gravely at the ruble in the distance before casting his gaze toward the mindless zombies in the surrounding area.

With seemingly red eyes that were ablaze, dozens of zombies rushed toward the two-meter cat that was currently fighting the yellowish zombie in the ruble, but only to get crushed by the claws of the cat as if they were a piece of paper.

He even saw a Level 10 zombie get cut in half without clearly seeing how the cats moved.

"..." Leo felt shivers inside him, thinking how would he survive if the cat attacked him...

'Wait why am I thinking that, I could only barely manage to escape that yellowish zombie's attack, yet, I still wanted to add that cat to my problem!?'

Shaking his head, Leo suddenly saw a flash of weak green light amidst the surge and attack of the zombies.

'Green scroll?' Leo thought instinctively as he saw a green scroll lying on the ground not far away from the two-meter cat and the yellowish zombie.

Quite tempted, Leo lowered his altitude, only two meters away from the ground as he stared at the green scroll in the distance.

"White(uncommon) scroll is not learnable for me but what about the green one?" Leo asks inside his head as he hesitates whether to risk himself to get the scroll or not.

He still didn't forget that he lacked an offensive skill. Although he still could kill zombies for a while, his skills "Mist of Illusion" and "Decayed Aura" are not dependable since their effect is either random or slow.

Gritting his teeth, Leo decided to risk it as he opened his character panel to upgrade some of his skills.
