I Raised A Black Dragon

Chapter 76

Kyle Leonard’s face hardened in displease at Park Noah’s thoughtless remark, and upon seeing his reaction, she cringed in embarrassment. What’s wrong with you?

After a few seconds of awkward silence, Kyle Leonard opened his mouth to speak.

“…Please pay attention to your choice of words, Miss Noah. And it’s not you, it’s Eleonora.”

“What? You already know that-”

“Careful.”

“Of? Which one? Sleeping partner? This is what Adrian told me in person…”

“Should I teach you how to speak pretty?” Kyle Leonard grumbled, clenching his jaw, and covered Park Noah’s mouth with his hand.

Park Noah’s eyes fluttered repeatedly, taken aback, and saw his eyes wandering aimlessly. Huh? Is this real?

“I doubt it, but am I really his ex-girlfriend? Eleonora was dating the Minister? Well, that must be the reason why I didn’t go to jail after all that.” She mumbled in his hand.

“For one thing, it is true that Eleonora Asil had a relationship with the Minister of Magic two years ago.”

“Heh… So, I’m used to touching, huh.”

“What?” Kyle Leonard snapped.

Park Noah forcibly tore his hand from her mouth and replied, “The first day I met Adrian, he was about to attack me.”

“.….”

“He said we’d try it in the train compartment.”

Now, Kyle Leonard looked like a seething kettle. On the other hand, Park Noah took enjoyment at the rare sight. Then, she continued her amusement.

“I told him I had amnesia, and he said, let’s do everything we’ve done from the beginning. Looking at him, I could see his desire for Eleonora. I couldn’t believe we were doing it in the room. But no matter how different my tastes are, on the train-”

“Should I even give you s*x education? Do you want me to brief you on the cleanliness rules you should follow in your relationship?” Kyle Leonard interrupted, almost snarling.

“Why are you overreacting, sir, I didn’t really do it.”

As Park Noah answered with a huge grin, he pulled her hood down with a look of utter discomfort. Then, he grabbed her shoulder and turned her around, pushing her toward the entrance.

“I came here as soon as I could because you said so, and you can’t even speak properly. Are you immature, are you not in a sense of crisis, or are you just trying to pick on me?”

Truthfully, it was close to the third. Park Noah swallowed a laugh and moved her legs as Kyle Leonard pushed her.

Oh, my butler.

Plans for the return of the pretend Eleonora Asil were re-established in a flash.

“Let’s go straight up to Tezeba through the ferry. It’ll take at least five more days for Secretary Rossinell to arrive in Lunazel and repair the tracks.”

“Sir, I’m seasick…” Park Noah whined.

“I’ll stop by the doctor for a prescription for motion sickness.”

“What if anything happens at sea?”

“If Miss Noah stays calm, the chances of something happening will drop to a single digit. Let’s be honest. Aren’t you just too lazy to move?”

“…I’m coming.”

Kyle Leonard, who saw Park Noah tossing the clothes into the suitcase, put her on the sofa, and began to prepare instead.

Park Noah embraced Muell as she watched the investigator neatly pack up. After lecturing her earlier in the morning, he ordered a cup of warm cocoa and milk from a restaurant on the first floor.

While she was enjoying her toast with Muell, Kyle Leonard had finished packing all the necessities in the suitcase. He glanced at  the watch on his wrist and gestured at her. “When you’re done, let’s go. We have thirty minutes until the ship departs.”

“Well, sir, are you ready with that?” Park Noah pointed a finger at his clothes.

Kyle Leonard wasn’t wearing his usual detective uniform. Instead, he wore a light suit and a proxy coat.

“Yes, it’s not good to stand out.” He replied, pressing down a fedora to his head. Then, he took a pair of glasses from his pocket.

Park Noah’s lips parted as she recognized the item. It was the glasses she forced on him when they were still at Lunazel. He hated it at first, but he’s using it well…

The investigator was dashing in his attire; he exuded a smart character instead of his previous strict and cold image.

Park Noah took a moment to appreciate the perfect man, appearance-wise. “You look good in anything you wear.”

“Don’t be ridiculous, just put on your coat, and wear a hat. Hide your hair under your hat.”

“Yes.” The admiration was forced to end in less than three seconds. Park Noah then asked, wearing her coat as he ordered. “How about tickets?”

“I’ll take the ship without a ticket. I will manage it, so you just need to keep your feet steady.”

That meant he’d take care of the rest as long as she moved her legs. Sure enough, Kyle Leonard looked back at her with a knowing look, and then hugged the little child.

“I reflected on myself a lot, sir.” Park Noah boasted, following behind him with a big smile.

“What, from the tomboy you’ve been?”

“Um…”

“Or everything you’re talking about are your habits? Getting a cold while not eating at the right time and just eating snacks?”

Park Noah knew so well that she had nothing to refute. However, since she had felt how comfortable it was to have the butler beside her, she decided to be a little quiet instead of snapping back.

“I’ll listen to you now. Eat well and healthy.”

“….”

But, after saying such, Kyle Leonard began to look at her with suspicious eyes. Perhaps for him, the human credibility of Park Noah seemed to be already bottoming out. He signed and held out his hand.

“I don’t even want that, so look carefully at the stairs and come down. It might be slippery, I guess.”

As expected, Kyle Leonard would take care of everything despite speaking in a cold manner. Afraid that she would poke fun at him again, Park Noah swallowed a smile and left the inn with him.
