Chapter 77
Battuanu Port was boisterous. On the day of the departure of the ferry bound for the capital, the port was crowded with nobles and commoners alike. According to Kyle Leonard, the ship they would board was a luxury liner, which customers were mainly aristocrats. The ship was equipped with several games, various sports entertainment, and even swimming pools.
“The ships used by the noblemen are more tightly guarded than other ferries. If you hurt a nobleman, you’ll suffer a lot, so there isn’t much you can do. This is the best option we have right now.”
“Oh, by the way, I’m not so proud of my identity.” Park Noah interjected.
“It’s all right. Mine is clear.”
“That’s obvious, but…”
How are you going to cover up my identity with yours? Park Noah continued to walk with him in wonder. The passageway to the ship’s first-class compartment was on the second floor.
As they climbed the wooden stairs, there was a long queue of ladies and gentlemen dressed significantly different from the passengers on the previous floor. Park Noah watched in awe as they took turns being identified by the magistrate in-charge and then crossed the bridge that was connected to the ship.
“So, the witch is still missing?” Two passengers conversed.

The word ‘witch’ rang unpleasantly in Park Noah’s ears. She snuck behind Kyle Leonard and overheard the couple talking in front of him.
“Well… I’ve appointed the general manager as a full-time investigator, but there’s no way to know since the news has not been officially announced. I heard Tezeba’s Bureau of Investigation is in a state of emergency. They sent summons to everyone who came in and out of the Imperial City that day.”
“I think we’re wasting our manpower when we have a potential suspect. In fact, if Eleonora Asil imprinted the dragon, he should consider a coup in the worst case scenario.”
No, I have no intention of doing that…
“I hope we get that vicious woman right now and put her in a dungeon this time… It’s been more than fifteen days since the incident, and we haven’t made any progress. You don’t think the Bureau of Investigation is covering up something, do you?” The woman grumbled.
A few years ago, Eleonora Asil had sprayed one of her inventions on the woman’s hair, which burnt it into crisp, making her hostility therefore considerable.
My hair won’t be safe if I get caught. Park Noah pressed her hat to her head hard and hid herself completely behind Kyle Leonard, which made him laugh.
“It’s more noticeable if you hide like that. Don’t listen to what Mr. and Mrs. Twinken say. It’s just a conspiracy theory circulating in the salons of the ladies.”
“Women’s anger is usually scarier. And it’s true. I’m hiding the dragon.”
She inched closer to him and pointed to Muell, who was dozing off. Kyle Leonard was startled to see the little boy drooling on his shoulder and hastily wiped the child’s mouth with a handkerchief.
Park Noah looked up at him, anxious. “If they find out that I imprinted with the dragon and that you are with me, you’ll be charged instead.”
“You don’t have to be caught.”
“…Not the right word for Laurent’s top investigator whose duty is to protect the people.”
“You need to be flexible depending on the situation. Before that, who would think of this kid as a dragon? How come you’re becoming more and more like Miss Noah than the first time I saw you again.”
“You mean I drool in my sleep?”
“Let’s think about the first thing I did when I woke you up in Sorrent.”
“You sent me straight to the bathroom…” Park Noah trailed off and shut her mouth in realization. Right, Kyle Leonard already saw all my ugly faces.
Now, she was a little distressed to see Muell sleeping with a drool in the corners of his mouth. Oh, I’m a little embarrassed to think I might have been like that…
While she was internally shaking in embarrassment, it was already their turn to be identified.
“Good day! I will check your ID. Let’s start with the gentleman. Uh. Captain?”
The magistrate, who had been talking in a businesslike manner, stuttered at the sight before him. As he was about to salute at the investigator, Kyle Leonard immediately signaled a ‘no’. Then, he took his ID out of his right pocket and held it out to him.
The magistrate received his identification card with stiff movements and patted the back of his hand twice. The magistrate’s eyes opened wide and nodded his head timidly. It seemed to be some sort of agreement.
Without further delay, the magistrate regained his composure and spoke again in a formal voice. “Mr. Derek Leonard, then this lady must be Mrs. Leonard.”
“That’s right.”
“Confirmed. You can go in.”
Park Noah glanced back and forth. No one seemed to have doubted their identities. Well, on the surface, they appeared like a perfect family. She hurried behind Kyle Leonard, who first crossed the bridge leading to the ship.
