Isekai Journey Of The Magic Archer

Chapter 976 Sir Harvey

[OP: ]

"Can you tell us more about them, Seniors?"

"Hmm? About Sir Harvey?"

"Yes. He seems like an interesting person."

The one asking then was the current captain of True Dragons, captain Alpha, so it confused the seniors for a moment.

But then he thought back to something, smiled, took a bite from whatever he was eating, and looked around at his friends.

"They wanna know about the Old man, everyone~."

The others were actually excited when this topic came up, and including Eon and the others who had heard this name looked at them with a new interest in their eyes.

"Hahaha, alright. We will tell you about one of the most memorable Magic swordsmen that doesn't have his name in history books, someone who isn't famous outside of this academy… as well as someone every single person who has attended the academy in the last hundred and fifty years would know about from before his retirement."

He was a famous teacher that had guided many students of this academy, including Elle's grandfather.

For the older people like them, this teacher was nothing less than a friend, an inspiration, as well as a guide that showed them how even without countless worldly restrictions, something could very well become a lot more fun than what one might expect.

"He taught a special subject in the Superior category, a class that despite being one of the most difficult ones, was attended by more than half of the batch from our time."

Eon and the company were part of the 3693rd batch of the academy while most of these seniors with them were part of the classes from ten or twelve batches prior to them.

Since Sir Harvey retired around fifteen years ago, almost five batches prior to theirs must be the last batch that he had taught in this academy.

"His subject was called [Duality studies: Weapon-magic transition]. And his class was mostly so full that he had to take class in the general auditoriums instead of the classes that were assigned to him.

Sometimes the entirety of our batch of three or four thousand students would gather for his class at once, even the ones who aren't of his class, and he never minded it."

Sir Victor seemed to be in a nostalgic mood right now, his eyes were moist as well, and a smile was present on his face.

"He hadn't studied in the academy like most of the teachers here are required to do. As far as I know, he was someone the headmaster had met during his travels and he personally invited him to teach the students of the academy."

"Oh, he still had to take a compulsory course though, so if you ask a few of your older teachers, they would tell you how they have either studied beside him, or had taught him themselves."

He wasn't an elf, he was just a human that fortunately survived for as long as he has.

However, since he was still just a human, he was not as resistant to the flow of time as a wizard, or an elf, or even a beast person for that matter.

Death was like a friend to him that was waiting for him at his doorstep.

But, even till now, even as he was spending his final days in a sanctuary that the headmaster had created for his Friend, he was fooling death every single day.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

Just like how he had done for the last few decades.

"He was also someone with six attribute affinity, however, since he was from a rural region, he did not know that fact. In fact, from what I know, he did not even know about his unique six attribute affinities."

Master Logan laughed happily while saying that, remember something that might have happened with him and Sir Harvey in the past.

"His father was a hunter so he learned hunting, his mother knew a little bit of magic instinctively so she taught him, and later on, he grew up to be an excellent hunter who could create fire out of thin air, freeze water with his breath, and summon fresh water without digging the ground."

"His village people called him Avatar of the God. And, that thing got to his head…"

They told the younger juniors how things were for this special teacher of theirs in his younger days, how he used to tell them stories of those old days, as well as how foolish he had been in his younger days.

"He ran away from his village one day, and went to the town nearby. And there, with his powers to control nature, as well as his martial prowess that he had achieved by fighting bores and beasts."

Lady Nix didn't seem to be that fond of him, but there was still a bitter feeling in her eyes hidden somewhere.

"Funnily enough, the Lord in charge of the town believed him as well, and helped him get to the biggest city of their lands with sufficient riches."

"It was only when he was out of the town… did he learn that what he could do was nothing more than a simple trick."

The city was filled with people who were much stronger than him, as well as people who were more like the Avatars of gods than him.

"You all know how different instinctive magic cast by a novice and even a proper spell of the lower tier could be, right?"

The juniors nodded at the words of Sir Zar, one of the famous names in the Skyship industry.

"Sir Harvey did not know that. As a simple village bumpkin, he knew nothing about magic, swordsmanship, or even how to combine both of them in a way that would not kill him."

"And that was when he met the person who taught him everything he later became famous for among us students."

Miss Veronica looked around at her friends with a smile, at the students, at Eon and Zoe, and shook her head at the fact that they were sadly missing out on something that used to be a cult classic in their times.

"Was that person the headmaster, senior?"

Quin was getting invested in this story. This person… Sir Harvey. He seemed quite an intriguing person to her.

"Oh, no no. The Headmaster would meet him much later. In fact, the reason the headmaster meets him and the person who helped him become what he was to us, are closely connected."

"Yeah."

"That's a fact."

Many of them nodded at Sir Victor's words. And then, they all looked at Sir Gole.

"You were his favourite." Lady Nix smirked while poking her elbow in his face.

He was not a dwarf, and he was not a human. He was, funnily enough, a pig.

An evolved Swine species that had become humanoid with a deep connection to nature… a connection so deep he had ties with Druids of nature.

"Get away from me, Nixie. You know I don't like it!"

He was also a famous name actually. But not in the political world.

"It's a fact man, you can't deny it~."

Sir Victor and Miss Veronica explained to the students how the person that helped Sir Harvey when he first got to the city was an adventurer who had a swine as her familiar.

That creature resembled Sir Gole so the two of them who were in the same batch knew about how Sir Harvey saw his benefactor in him the best.

"Her name's Avencor. A few of you must have heard of her, correct?"

Miss V was looking at the ones who were connected with the adventurer's association.

"The Silver feather…"

"She was Sir Harvey's benefactor?"

Even Eon and Rein did not know about this simple fact.

However, the two of them, Captain Alpha, two of the prodigies, and a few other students also knew about the Silver feather… or the other name that she was given by the people: <Spear master of silver>.

She was an <SSS> rank adventurer. One of the few that have ever been.

And, she was a hero who died fighting a demon viscount so they even had a few textbooks mentioning her and her adventures.

"Hard to believe, right? Do you know how they are connected with the headmaster now?"

This was an answer posed to the rest of them.

And, almost all of them who knew this character also had answers to that question.

"Vice headmaster."

"She was said to be a retainer of the vice headmaster, right?"

"Someone the vice headmaster had trained herself, yes."

The silver feather was a name given to her because of the unique skill that she had. A skill that has her silver wings… a skill that only Eon's mom has at the moment.

"She met Sir Harvey when he was eating dumplings at a stall. And, when they met, Lady Avencor ended up beating him up because she caught him stealing her food."

A few of them laughed out loud, and those who were eating barely controlled themselves.

"Then it was just like those fantasy novels."

She apologised for hospitalising him, the first place where they found out that Sir Harvey was, in fact, a hexa elemental mage.

Since Lady Avencor was also a Queen ranked knight at that time, she knew how this weak person had physical potential and talent.

"She trained him, he thrived a little, and then… he met the headmaster."

He came to the academy, he learned, he built his theories, and then, with time, and his unique teaching methods that they could not explain with simple words, he became famous among the students.

And then, he retired.

"Knowledge, talent, abilities, skills…"

"Age, death and decay are an eternal truth of the morals, young friends."

They were done with their lunch and they enjoyed it much more than they had expected.

And now, they would have to part ways with them.

"Not everyone lives forever. Especially us simple humans.

Unlike long life species, we experience more negative emotions as we get closer to that inevitable fate."

Some facts were called truths of this world.

Nature did not establish them. They existed even before the beginning.

"You should see him one of these days though."

"Oh, right. You'll definitely see him a little before your first term exams. That much is certain."

It was going to be a fun experience for them.

And the seniors knew they would need Him to get through the first Great Hell of their life in this academy.
