Chapter 334 - 334 His Dangerous Offer
334 His Dangerous Offer
CHAPTER 334
'As if on cue, all their heads whipped to the side where Xander stood with his hands tucked into his pocket.
"Your..." He lifted his palm just in time to stop them from greeting him formally.
Smiles appeared on their faces as they gave a silent nod. Taking the cue, Astoria pushed Jade a little, sending her into the arms of her waiting boyfriend.
"Toria," Jade called out in protest but to no avail, Astoria had done what she wanted to do. "Stubborn girl," Jade spat out and rested her head against Xander's chest.
"Ignore her Toria. She is safely in my arms yet she has the mouth to scold you." Jade pouted at him. Leave it to Xander to tease her at every given chance.
Everyone burst out laughing. If only he knew what they were discussing before his arrival. He would know just how much she loved being in his arms.
Lowering his eyes to her, Xander called with a gentle voice, "Hey love."
"Hmm?"
"Stop being a child." She rolled her eyes at him but kept her hands secured around his back. "Let's go for a flight."
Her eyes opened at the proposal. Without wasting a second, she withdrew from him and stared into his eyes to see if he was joking. "You're serious right?"

"I am but if you are busy with your friends, I can understand and go alone."
She twisted her lips to the side while her thoughts raced on their own. She turned her head to look at her friends. Their eyes held a glint of joy in them as they nodded in unison.
They did not wish she would think about them and wanted her to take the opportunity to be free.
"She would surely go," Astoria said, breaking the awkward silence that ensued while Jade took her time to make a decision that did not need such.
"It would be great to be with Xyler," Jenny informed her. She took hold of the opportunity to remind Jade that Xander needed this and so did his dragon. "I am sure he would protect you well. Do not be scared."
Jade's eyes flew open. "Wait," she returned her attention to Xander and peered up at him. "Are you saying you wish to let Xyler out completely?"
Xander's smile grew.
"Like you are not going in your natural form?"
"No."
Her lips parted further. Words seemed to fail her in describing her joy at that moment. "Eeeeee...."
She pressed her teeth together and bought her hands in front of her as her feet played their own game beneath.
She wished to jump, shout, run and do anything to help her explore that joy within her but was holding back just to be careful.
Sensing her predicament, Xander grinned as he released the caged bird, giving her the freedom to fly. "Scream and jump if you wish. No one would hold it against you."
He had barely given her a go-ahead when Jade squealed in excitement as she jumped from where he was and rushed to meet her friends.
"Aaaaaahhhhh! Yesh!!"
Similarly, the others jubilated with her too. She was going on a full- scale dragon ride. This would build a strong bond with Xyler and also help take away the fears and troubles bugging her mind.
"You go girl."
"Tell me all about it when you come."
"Make sure you have fun."
"Do not forget to hold on tight and not try something deadly."
"Do whatever you please. In fact, jump off, I am sure Xyler would catch you."
Everyone had their own form of advice to give to Jade but the deadliest of it all was the one from Astoria.
They all went still when she spoke, looking at her like one deranged unserious individual. "Hahhaa, she is just joking right?" Macy brushed it off with a laugh.
To her amazement, not everyone shared that joyous laugh as she had said it.
"Wait. She is serious?"
"You bet I am," Astoria proudly admitted.
"You have got to be kidding me," Macy stated whilst shaking her head as she waved her hands in front of her. "And Jade, you better not be thinking of doing that."
"Why not?" Jade questioned with a sharp grin.
If there was anything, she loved danger and dangerous situations so much. Asia knew that fact after being with her for so long.
"You betcha she is going to do it," Asia said matter of factly and placed her hands on Jade's shoulder. "Just be careful."
Macy's eyes remained wide open. "You girls aren't serious." Seeing as no one was laughing it off, she turned her attention to Xander.
He was the one who loved Jade most. Without a second telling, he hated her doing anything dangerous out of the fear of losing her. Surely, she was certain he would not agree to it.
"X-Xand-der, you are with me, right? This is too dangerous and Jade should not try it."
"Of course, I am with you." Macy breathed out in relief. "That is if she was riding with someone else. However, she is riding with me. My dragon, Xyler. There's no better place or person she is safer with. I'll protect her with my life."
Macy's lips quirked up. Her brows shook on their own as the realization dawned on her. She was definitely the only sane one here. The rest of them weren't, that's for sure.
To their amazement, she felt light-headed just thinking of her friend jumping off a dragon flying far in the sky.
"I can't take this." She fell backwards and was immediately caught by someone, leaving everyone gasping.
A few seconds ago, she had been standing in a place where no one was behind her. That had caused fear to erupt within them until someone did.
"I see you all are stressing my woman," Jay noted.
Several sighs fell off their lips as they straightened their backs and wore their previous smile.
"She'll be fine. Now, Jade, ready?" Xander inquired once more.
"After all this?" She gestured with her eyes taking a quick glance at the others. "I was born ready. Let's go."
Giggling, Jade rushed over into Xander's embrace as he carried her out, leaving the others alone.
