Lunar Supremacy: The Original Alpha

Chapter 31 [Bonus ]CH : 31

The first faint glimmers of light began to creep over the horizon, casting long shadows across the sprawling villa nestled in the heart of Texas Nevada.

As the sun began to peek over the horizon, a white van appeared in the distance, hurtling towards the gates of the villa.

The guards at the gate exchanged a knowing nod and swung the gates open, allowing the van to glide smoothly past them and disappear into the shadows of the estate.

The van came to a halt in front of the grand estate, shrouded in the early morning mist. As the doors slid open, two figures emerged from within - George and Denise.

A man rushed towards them, his eyes filled with worry and concern.

"Where is my son?" he asked urgently.

Denise's voice rang out with calm assurance.

"Your son is safe with us, Mr. Wayne. We're professionals."

Relief washed over the man's face as he breathed a sigh of relief.

"Thank goodness," he said, reaching for three briefcase. "Here's the 10,000,000 USD we agreed on."

With a wide grin, George accepted the briefcases, opening it to reveal the stacks of cash within. He then carried the client's son out of the van, his strong body easily lifting the unconscious man onto his shoulder.

Jonathan's relief was visible as he hugged his son tightly, grateful to have him back unharmed. However, the fear of almost losing his son was still fresh in his mind, and he couldn't help but feel anxious about the aftermath of the traumatic experience.

"Can you erase his memories of this whole ordeal?" he asked, his voice trembling with emotion.

"This is the third time, Mr. Wayne. I don't think it's a good idea to erase his memories again," she replied, shaking her head. She had saved Nathan multiple times before, each time erasing his memories to protect him from being traumatized. But she couldn't ignore the fact that these repeated memory wipes were taking a toll on Nathan, who had become a fanatic of supernatural things, driven by his subconscious memories of the unexplainable events he had witnessed.

"Just erase his memories this time. The trauma of being kidnapped and tortured is worse," Jonathan insisted, his voice tinged with desperation.

Denise heaved a long, weary sigh, her thoughts swirling with a tangle of conflicting emotions.

Nathan wasn't exactly someone she cared about deeply, but the repercussions of his unraveling could spell disaster for her. If he were to lose his mind, the blame would undoubtedly fall on her, and the Wayne Family would come knocking at her door with vengeance in their eyes.

"Don't blame me if something happened to him " Denise muttered to herself as she walked over to Nathan's unconscious body.

" Huic maledic, memoriam eius devora." She placed her hand on his forehead and began to intone a curse, a mixture of ancient words and dark magic that would erase the memories of Nathan's ordeal.

As she finished the curse, she turned to Jonathan with a warning in her eyes.

"This is the last time we can do this. Any more and it could have permanent effects on his mind."

Jonathan nodded, grateful for their help but also aware of the potential consequences. He handed her another 1,000,000 USD.

"Let's go George " Denise turned away and walked towards the van. Their job was now done and completed.

The two of them wasted no time in leaving the opulent villa, eager to distance themselves from the place as quickly as possible.

They had completed the job successfully, but it left a bad taste in their mouths. The flashy wealth on display and the desperation of the rich man to save his son only reinforced their cynicism about the world.

As they climbed back into their van, they both let out a sigh of relief. At least they were done with this particular client and could relax for a while.

Along the highway back to New York.

George's brow furrowed in concern as he drove the car, glancing over at Denise.

"What's bothering you?" he asked, his deep voice laced with curiosity.

Denise, sitting in the passenger seat, looked troubled.

"I sensed a supernatural aura from the client's son," she replied, her voice low and doubtful.

George's eyes widened in surprise.

"He got turned? Into what? A vampire? Werewolf? A Chimera? A beast ?" he exclaimed, trying to make sense of it.

"No, I don't think he's a supernatural being himself, but someone close to him is. And they're incredibly powerful." she spoke with uncertainty.

George scoffed at the notion.

"An A-Rank like you? I highly doubt it. The Wayne family wouldn't need our services if they had someone that strong on their side," he argued.

Denise was considered one of the most powerful supernaturals. But she also knew that the supernatural world was full of surprises, and there were always beings out there with powers that could surpass even hers. But an A-rank was not something that can just appear out of nowhere.

"Indeed, it's highly unlikely for them to have an A-Rank," Denise agreed, a crease forming between her brows.

A-Ranks were a rare breed among the supernatural beings, and even she was considered an anomaly among witches. The reason being, she had absorbed her twin sister Debbie's power while still in their mother's womb, making her more powerful than an average witch.

"Let's forget about them," George let out a low, rumbling chuckle, his mind already moving on from the mission they had just completed.

"Now that this mission's done, I can finally buy another patch of land." he added, his face full of excitement.

Denise arched an eyebrow in response.

"Another land? You're always buying lands."

"Of course. I'm building a sanctuary for my kind. Unlike you, Denise, I'm a truly kind and selfless person." George grinned, his chest swelling with pride.

"I don't even know how to reply to that," she muttered, shaking her head in disbelief. For her, it was just another day dealing with the quirks of her eccentric partner, a man whose idealism often bordered on madness. Despite the challenges, she couldn't help but acknowledge his boundless enthusiasm and unwavering dedication to his cause.

"Let' go home, I miss my sister ." she muttered to herself.
