Chapter 32 CH: 32
The early morning light filtered through the massive windows of the penthouse, casting a warm glow over Vincent as he went through his daily morning routine. He started with his usual two hundred push-ups, feeling his muscles becoming more refined with every rep.
After finishing his workout, he made his way to the dining room to enjoy dozens of steaks that he had prepared beforehand. He couldn't help but notice that his appetite had increased in proportion to his strength, a testament to the growing necessity of his body.
As he sat down to eat, his phone pinged with a text notification.
[ Good morning ] Sophia's name flashed on the screen, and he couldn't help but smile as he read her simple message.
Despite having already given herself to him, Sophia still acted shy and reserved, a trait that Vincent found endearing and refreshing.
"Good morning," he replied, his fingers tapping away on the screen. "Did you eat already?"
"Yes" she replied
As their conversation continued, Vincent felt a sense of warmth and contentment washed over him. Sophia had a way of making even the most mundane interactions feel special, and he couldn't help but smile at her shy and reserve demeanor.
But all good things must come to an end, as Sophia said her goodbyes to go to school.
Vincent finished his meal and placed his phone on the table, ready to start his day. Just as he was about to take a sip of his coffee, the sound of the doorbell echoed throughout the penthouse.

He knew exactly who it was before even opening the door. The distinct scent of Mia's sweat wafted through the air, causing his senses to stir. He stood up and made his way to the door.
He opened the door, his nostrils flaring at the familiar scent of her.
"Mia, what brings you here?" he asked, already sensing the tension in her face.
"I haven't heard from you at all, and I saw you this morning. What's going on ?" Mia spoke, her voice laced with frustration.
Vincent sighed, feeling guilty for neglecting his promise.
"I'm sorry. Work has been overwhelming lately," he explained, running a hand through his hair.
"Just tell me if you don't like me, rather than lie to me about being busy all the time," she said, her voice trembling with emotion. She wanted to yell at him for ghosting her, but there was something about him that prevented her from being totally angry.
"It's just a favor, I don't know why I'm being so emotional. I'm sorry," Mia said, tears streaming down her face. She tried to hide it with her hands, but Vincent could see the hurt and embarrassment etched on her face.
Vincent remained silent, unsure of how to comfort her in this situation.
Mia took his silence as a rejection, and tears started to fall down her cheeks again.
"I'll go now," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "Sorry for bothering you."
Vincent couldn't help but feel guilty as he watched her leave. He knew that he had led her on, even if unintentionally, and he couldn't bear to hurt her.
Though he could have easily slept with her, he knew that he couldn't add another woman to his life right now. His focus was on ensuring his safety above all else, and he couldn't afford any distractions.
It wasn't that he didn't find her alluring; quite the opposite, in fact. But he refused to let his desires cloud his judgment. The revelations he got from Debbie woke him from his fantasies .
He needed to stay focused and vigilant if he wanted to come out on top in this dangerous game of life.
Little did he know that one of the reasons he was now able to control his libido more effectively was because of Sophia. Her purity had satisfied his primal urges, allowing him to maintain a tighter grip on his own desires.
"I have to prepare now " With a heavy heart, Vincent put his guilt on the back of his mind. He went to the garage and took his car towards Debbie's house. She had texted him about going somewhere that could help him figure out more about Fenrir.

Along the road.
Vincent couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation. He had always been curious about how he can better protect himself in the future and Debbie's text made him excited.
He pulled up to her house, and to his surprise, she was already waiting for him outside. As soon as he stepped out of the car, Debbie's face lit up with excitement.
"Let's go now!" she exclaimed, practically bouncing on her toes.
Vincent felt a knot form in his stomach as he noticed something off about her demeanor. Although she seemed excited, there was tension in her eyes that he couldn't quite place.
But he knew better than to pry into other people's personal issues. It wasn't his place to ask, and he didn't want to make things awkward between them. So he pushed the thought to the back of his mind and focused on the task at hand.
"Sure, let's go," he said with a smile, trying to hide his concern for her. "Where are we headed?
"You told me about a place called Silent Hill last night. Well, I discovered that it was a place for a clan of powerful witches back in the day. Unfortunately, its location was not recorded in my grandmother's grimoire, so we need to ask my aunt."
"Okay, so we need to ask your aunt about the location. Where does she live?" he asked.
"Portland," Debbie replied with a giggle.
"That's almost 8 hours drive!" Vincent groaned,
"I know, which is why I already bought us two tickets. "Debbie's grin widened, as if to show that she was expecting his reaction.
He furrowed his brow in confusion.
"Can't we just call her?"
"Can't do. My aunt lives in seclusion. She's what you call a traditional witch." she shook her head.
"Alright, let's go " Vincent sighed, realizing there was no way around it.
