Chapter 220: The Power of Chaos.
After their delicious meal, they all went home for the night. Although they wanted to spend more time with Ark and catch up with him a little, sleep was essential. They had plenty of time to do other things tomorrow too, so they could just take things slowly. The most important part was for Ark to feel comfortable, They wanted him to feel like he was back to normality at least.
Ark himself could naturally see what they were trying to do, and he really appreciated it. Although he had suffered a lot, he didn't want anyone to feel bad for him or worry, so he decided to spare them the details of what he went through unless someone specifically asked. If Ephine or Thufrat truly wanted to know, it wasn't like he would lie to them or anything.
After they returned to their house, Ark had a strange expression on his face as he wandered around the house. Although he had only been gone for a short while, to him, it felt like an eternity had passed. As he walked around the house, trying to hide his pained expression, Ephine silently watched him.
Seeing him look around with such an expression on his face, she felt an inexplicable pain in her heart.
If she had been in the wilderness, she would've relieved this feeling by howling into the night sky, but she couldn't really do that now that she was in the middle of the city. Who knew what kind of trouble that would attract? Instead, she walked up to Ark and hugged him from behind. Ark slowly turned around and returned the favour.
"Let's go to sleep Ark," she said, resting her head on Ark's shoulder.
"Mhmm," he responded.
But although he said that, they still just stood there for a while, relishing the moment. Eventually, Atar came running and joined in on the hug. Both Atar and Ephine chuckled at his antics and decided to go to sleep. Ark had lost consciousness a few times as he was held captive, but he hadn't slept normally since he left, so he naturally looked forward to it.
As per usual, Atar, Ephine and Ark slept in the great hall, whilst Thufrat slept in his own room. Feeling the warmth as they all snuggled up to each other, Ark felt at peace. His entire being calmed down a little, and he started to ponder a little. He had a harder time falling asleep than Ephine or Atar, which is why he usually used the evenings as a time to think about the future.
What Ark was thinking about now was naturally the sort of forced evolution he had gone through. Whilst he thought that everyone else had fallen asleep, took a look at his status, and he noticed a plethora of massive changes. First and foremost, he had gotten a new title, and his race had changed.
[Sovereign]
[You are a true sovereign of your species. Through trials and tribulations, you have transcended normality. Grants partial immunity to both magic and physical attacks as long as your soul remains intact. Lower lifeforms will feel your pressure to be unbearable, and they will think twice before fighting you.]
Just reading the effect of the title he had gotten was shocking to Ark. Compared to the title of Overlord that he had before, this one was a lot more overbearing. Partial immunity to magical and physical attacks was just way too overpowered, but Ark could accept the reasoning after reading through the description a few times.

Since he was no longer a "lower" lifeform, it made sense that it would be hard for them to attack him.
As for his race, the description shocked Ark way more than the title had.
[Supreme Chaos Wolf]
[A creature signifying creation. A supreme creature born alongside a universe, a true representation of chaos. Chaos is the beginning and end of all, giving the Supreme Chaos Wolf absolute elemental affinity to all elements.]
This short description held a plethora of new information, most of which was hard to swallow. According to the description, the Supreme Chaos Wolf was born alongside a universe. Did this mean that a new universe had just been born? Was this universe a part of Ark, or was it unrelated? He had no idea, but he had a feeling that he would soon find out.
The more concrete part of the description was the last sentence. Absolute affinity to all elements... What exactly was an absolute affinity? Ark wasn't sure, to his knowledge, a perfect affinity was the best affinity there was, but apparently, that wasn't the case. As he looked at the rest of his status, Ark naturally noticed quite a few things.
Name: Ark
Title: Sovereign
Condition: Normal
Species: Supreme Chaos Wolf
Level: 5 (132)
Mp: 1080/1080
Strength: 80 (65)
Agility: 95 (65)
Dexterity: 85 (65)
Endurance: 80 (65)
Vitality: 80 (65)
Intelligence: 360
Wisdom: 225
[Skills]1 [Affinities]2 [Race Skills]3
Status points [25]
As stated when he inspected his new race, all of his affinities had been upgraded to absolute, which Ark surmised was the step after perfect. Aside from that, he had also obtained some new affinities, namely, time, poison and summoning, all of which were absolute.
To Ark, this was already exciting enough, as it would diversify his attacks, and also make them stronger since a more potent affinity meant a stronger attack power and control.
Aside from that, Ark's physical body had gotten a lot stronger, and this was clearly conveyed through his newfound stats. All of his physical stats had been enhanced by 50 stat points each, which meant that his physical body was more than twice as strong as before if you disregarded physical strengthening skills that were always active.
Perhaps one of the most interesting parts of Ark's newfound evolution was his new skills. The new skills were called [Chaos Magic], [Chaos Domain], [Chaos Soul] and [Sovereigns Howl]. Perhaps it was because of the race description he had just read, but Ark decided to start by inspecting [Chaos Domain].
[Chaos Domain]
[A miniature universe created by the birth of a Supreme Chaos Wolf. Can be brought out into the true universe in the form of a domain surrounding the host's body. In a 100-meter radius, the host's Magic Power, Physical Power and Soul Power will be increased by 30%. All enemies in the radius will have their strength suppressed by 30%. Can grow into a true universe.]
Reading this description made Ark's mind go completely blank. A miniature universe? Didn't that mean that he would eventually be able to become the god of his own world as long as this skill grew strong enough? According to the description, the world he was in now was considered a true universe, and this universe he had would also be able to become a true universe, how cool was that?
Just the thought of creating his own world made Ark ecstatic. But that was something far off in the future. For now, the practical benefits this domain would bring him in battle were already off the charts, although he did think it would probably be very consuming to keep the domain going. That was something he was going to have to experiment with on his own.
