Urban: Super God-Ring System

Chapter 14

C14 – The Third Floor of Nighty Night

Wen Huaimu awkwardly licked his lips, yet his gaze was fixed on the reception desk in the lobby.

A small crowd had already formed there. On closer inspection, he noticed they were all young adults—none particularly old, but all quite robust.

The ringleader was a gaunt young man, skeletal in appearance. He made a beeline for Long Hair upon spotting him.

Initially, Skinny paid no attention to Long Hair, instead scrutinizing Wen Huaimu with such intensity that it sent shivers down his spine.

“Not bad at all, Fur. You’ve brought us a fine specimen today. Looks like we’re in for a hefty profit.” Skinny finally nodded in approval, grinning at Long Hair with a hint of a Cantonese lilt in his voice.

“Exactly. I’ve brought a genuine virgin. Chickenhead, you’ve got to connect me with a big-spending boss,” Long Hair said to Skinny, oozing sycophancy.

“Don’t worry, Lian’s message came through today. Some wealthy ladies from Hong Kong will be stopping by. I won’t forget you when it’s time,” Skinny chuckled, pulling Wen Huaimu closer and continuing to shower him with compliments.

It dawned on Wen Huaimu—he was being coerced into prostitution!

A forced smile hung on his face, but inside, he was seething with anger. He was so young; could he endure such abuse? He was curious to see whose tactics would prove more forceful.

Mr. Long Hair offered some hollow consolation to Wen Huaimu before departing from the third floor. Skinny positioned Wen Huaimu at the end of the line of young men, seemingly intending for him to play a key role.

Wen Huaimu stood in silence at the rear. His eyes swept over the youths before him, all appearing to be in their late teens, their complexions ghostly pale. Yet, their eyes gleamed with a lecherous sheen. He knew they had overindulged, lost in their carnal desires, beyond redemption.

“Remember the drill. Stay in your rooms until your names are called, then it’s showtime,” Skinny instructed after a brief wait, seeing no further arrivals. He then addressed the remaining youths.

Within moments, over half of them had dispersed, leaving only three standing in the area.

Wen Huaimu could tell that the other two were just as bewildered as he was, yet there seemed to be a hint of anticipation in their eyes.

He scoffed and averted his gaze, settling into a silent wait.

Truth be told, Wen Huaimu was somewhat excited himself. He was, after all, still a virgin!

Should any surprises arise, he had the company of a clever little elfin. The creature appeared to pick up on the shift in the atmosphere, its psychic force constantly active, monitoring every movement in the reception hall.

“Come with me, you three,” Skinny beckoned.

Once the group of teenagers had dispersed, Skinny turned to Wen Huaimu and the others with a grin and sauntered off, leading the way.

They quickly caught up, following him down a corridor to another quaint reception area filled with young, attractive women.

He couldn’t bring himself to meet their eyes. Amidst the flirtatious stares of the girls, they briskly made their way through. Reaching a new hallway, Skinny stopped at a door and instructed, “Wait here. Each of you has a room. Don’t leave without permission. Everything you need is inside, so try not to worry too much.”

The other two youths hesitated, but Wen Huaimu, ever the bachelor, stepped in first. This earned him an approving nod from Skinny, who remarked, “He’s got strength and he’s compliant. He’s sure to be well-liked.” With that, he shut the door and escorted the others to their rooms.

Wen Huaimu surveyed his quarters. Though modest in size, the room was tastefully designed, bathed in a warm crimson glow.

He reclined on the expansive bed and realized it was a state-of-the-art waterbed. Lying there, he felt as if he were buoyant, adrift on a tranquil sea—a sensation of utter comfort.

Shifting slightly, Wen Huaimu reached out to the elfin telepathically, “Diaochan, how far can you extend your psychic force? What’s the furthest you can sense?”

Diaochan, who had been exploring the area with her senses, replied without hesitation, “I can reach all the way to where we saw those beauties earlier.”

Wen Huaimu paused, recalling the small reception hall they had passed, a good ten meters from his current location. He chuckled and said, “But none of those girls hold a candle to your beauty, Diaochan.”

“Really? I feel the same way,” the elfin said with a smile.

“It looks like they’re talking about you,” the elfin remarked, surprised.

“What are they saying?” Wen Huaimu was puzzled. He was unfamiliar with those soul-selling girls.

“They’re saying you’re the strongest around, but they could easily handle you. What does that mean?” The elfin, only grasping the basics, couldn’t comprehend such a complex issue.

Wen Huaimu’s face turned red upon hearing this. Clenching his teeth, he spat out, “They’re nothing but thugs!” Then, sinking into a funk, he lamented, “Do I really look that pathetic?”

“You’re strong; they just can’t see it,” the elfin reassured him, understanding this much.

Wen Huaimu just rolled his eyes, offering no further explanation.

Waiting was excruciating. Wen Huaimu had the elfin extend her psychic force to keep watch over everything within a ten-meter radius. The elfin would swiftly report any passerby.

Their surveillance was undetectable, allowing Wen Huaimu and the elfin to spy without any qualms. An hour ticked by, and Wen Huaimu had nearly memorized the faces of most of the service staff on the third floor.

Then, a group emerged from the elevator onto the third floor, led by two men dressed in black. They headed straight for the beautiful girl’s reception hall.

The elfin tuned in to sense their presence.

All of a sudden, a young man clad in an ancient robe halted, his piercing gaze fixed on the elfin.

Frightened by the intensity of the young man’s stare, the elfin hastily withdrew her psychic force.
