Chapter 16 - MATE IS NEVER WRONG
Unlike the newlyweds in general. All day, Ellena actually spent time alone in a hotel room. Lucas who suddenly disappeared out of nowhere, made her feel very benefited. That way, she can freely express all the feelings that already feel very tight in her chest.
No matter how hard Ellena suppressed her increasingly turbulent emotions, in fact she still lost. In the end, sobs broke out again in the room. In fact, this time it was even worse than before. she screamed, struggling, as if he wanted to be rid of the problem she was in. she didn't care, even if someone heard her screams this time.
"God, help me! What should I do now? Why is the world so cruel to me? Can't I just feel a little bit of happiness? Since I was little I seem to have been denied the opportunity to live a life of serenity and happiness. Is that still not enough testing to be done?" I received from You? Why am I being given such a heavy test now?"
Ellena spent a long time with this activity. Crying, complaining and cursing her own fate. For her, Keenan is an angel who is always present in the midst of difficult times. At least he was always trying to make her smile. Keenan also always gave him strength, to stay afloat.
Even though the situation is very complicated, Keenan always asks Ellena to stay strong to face it. However, not in this situation. There is no strength and motivation that Keenan gives to her. How could it be? In fact, Keenan didn't know the complicated situation Ellena was in, so it was only natural.
What has Elena done now? Instead, she repays Keenan's kindness with a betrayal. Does she still deserve to expect her lover to stay? Waiting for all this charade to end? In the end, they will be reunited. It's hard to be certain, but impossible is nothing. She hoped the universe would be on her side.
She was sure that Keenan would be very disappointed, if he knew the truth. It was very painful. What if later Keenan is not willing to accept her widowed status? Moreover, both of Keenan's parents did not approve of their relationship from the start. It was possible that Ellena's status would be the biggest reason for them not to give their son their blessing.
As time went on, the sound of the crying grew fainter. Yes, maybe because Ellena was already feeling tired, from crying for a long time. She also stopped the activity.
"Rest assured, Ellena that a mate will never be wrong. If Keenan is indeed your soul mate, no one will be able to change that," Ellena muttered to herself.
Suddenly the sound of the hotel room door made Ellena gasp. Yes, it must be Lucas. She immediately wiped the tears that were on her cheeks, because she didn't want Lucas to realize that she had just cried. However, still, the cry had left a red and puffy mark in her eyes.

"You just woke up?" Lucas asked when he noticed Ellena still sitting on the bed.
Ellena flinched when she heard Lucas' voice. However, she just lowered her head and only dared to stare at the feet of the man who had been standing a meter in front of her.
"It's been a while," answered Ellena in a hoarse voice.
Lucas raised an eyebrow, surprised by Ellena's attitude. However, that hoarse voice made him believe that the woman in front of him had just cried.
"Hurry up and pack your things!" Lucas walked towards the wardrobe, not wanting to ask Ellena any further questions.
"Where are we going?" Ellena asked as she looked up, looking at Lucas who was already standing with back to her.
"I'll keep my word," Lucas answered as he opened the closet door, without turning his attention to Ellena.
"What promise?" Ellena got off the bed and stood behind Lucas.
Lucas paused for a moment, then looked back. He wasn't surprised when he saw Ellena's red and puffy eyes. Yes, he already knew about it. Ellena had deliberately hid it of him from the start.
"Didn't I promise to take you to meet your mother and lover?" Lucas glared at the woman in front of him. His words seemed to show that he knew what made Ellena cry. "Oh, or ... let's just cancel the plan—"
"No! I'll get ready soon," Ellena cut in, then rushed to pack her not-so-too much stuff.
She opened the closet door next to Lucas, pulling out a few pieces of clothing.
"Sir, let me pack all your things," said Ellena in the middle of putting her clothes in the suitcase.
Without responding to Ellena's words, Lucas stopped what he was doing and then headed for the sofa. He sat with his legs crossed, then took out his cell phone from his pants pocket.
He stared at the phone screen, but it didn't last long. His gaze turned to Ellena who was still busy with packing clothes.
Lucas had been in that position for a long time. In fact, he ignored the cell phone that was still on in his hand. I don't know what made him interested in staring at the woman who had only been living in the same room with him one day.
"Master, I'm done."
Lucas jumped and looked a little nervous. He then cleared his throat trying to shake off his nervousness. He briefly looked away, before finally responding to Ellena. "You're leaving in that condition?" he asked.
Ellena looked confused, hard to digest Lucas' words this time. "Why me?" She frowned.
Lucas was silent for a moment, before finally saying, "I mean, are you going to leave looking like that?"
Elena immediately noticed her appearance. She just realized that she was still wearing casual clothes. A t-shirt and hot pants, a suit she couldn't possibly wear to the village where she was born which had quite a chilly air.
"I'll change first. Please wait a moment!" Ellena grabbed a set of clothes that she had put in the suitcase, then immediately went to the bathroom.
In just a short time, she was done with the activity. The appearance is very simple. Long jeans combined with a short white shirt wrapped in a black sweater. Even without make-up, her face still looks stunning.
Ellena stood in front of the bathroom, looking at Lucas who was still sitting where he was before. However, this time the man looks busy with his cellphone.
Not wanting to disturb Lucas' activities, Ellena chose to remain silent and watch from a distance.
Lucas looked up when he realized Ellena was already standing there. He was stunned at first glance at Ellena's appearance, which was very simple, but still elegant. Ellena looks much younger with her appearance this time. Lucas immediately ended his activities, before Ellena finally realized it.
"Are you ready?" Lucas got up from his seat as he tucked his cell phone into his trouser pocket.
"Yes, Sir," replied Elena.
"Okay. Come on, let's go!" said Lucas as he headed for the hotel room door. However, his steps suddenly stopped, when he realized Ellena who was just standing there.
Lucas turned his head, looking at Ellena who just didn't flinch. The woman's face looked confused and seemed to be deep in thought. I don't know what was bothering him at the time.
Lucas chuckled, then spoke again.. "You're going to stay here?" Lucas asked which suddenly made Ellena forced to end her daydream at that time.
