Yugioh Card Summoner

CH.540 Leveling up Adventurer students

I’m starting today off with some packs of and .

I know Hidden Arsenals are smaller sets, so depending on what secret rares I get, I might end up fully completing the sets today. But we’ll see.

Now let’s start with Hidden Arsenal 3.

Spoiler

HA03 1

R-Genex Crusher; Jurrac Spinos; Caravan of the Ice Barrier; Worm Tentacles; Fabled Leviathan

[collapse]

Fabled Leviathan is new. And it isn’t bad. Mainly because of the 3k attack stat. Because the effect of returning stuff from the GY to hand isn’t that amazing for my use.

Next pack.

Spoiler

HA03 2

Dragunity Tribus; Jurrac Stauriko; Ally of Justice Quarantine; Worm Yagan; Worm Zero

[collapse]

Dragunity Tribus is pretty specific and I don’t need him, but I suppose he isn’t bad for the usual Dragunity strategy.

Jurrac Stauriko just summons tokens on death. Which is nice and all, but they are really weak and will die to basically anything.

Worm Zero is kind of cool. Since it is me we are talking about, I can just fuse like 20 Worms together to summon Zero, and he will be huge. And the effects are alright as well.

Next pack.

Spoiler

HA03 3

Fabled Dyf; Caravan of the Ice Barrier; Samurai of the Ice Barrier; Jurrac Ptera; Dragunity Dux

[collapse]

Fabled Dyf is very situational, and even then, it is just a Monster Reborn replacement.

Dragunity Dux is great. Gains attack and equips a Dragunity on summon.

Next pack.

Spoiler

HA03 4

Jurrac Spinos; Worm Yagan; Dragunity Tribus; Naturia Horneedle; Fabled Krus

[collapse]

Fabled Krus is really cute. And her effect is decent enough. Yes, it is a Monster Reborn replacement, but it is easy to activate, so I’ll give it a pass. And I can’t be mad at Krus, cause she is cute.

Next pack.

Spoiler

HA03 5

Fabled Dyf; Naturia Sunflower; Shock Troops of the Ice Barrier; Naturia Horneedle; General Grunard of the Ice Barrier

[collapse]

General Grunard of the Ice Barrier is fine. I don’t need additional summons, so for me he is just a big man with good attack stat. But then again, that is good enough.

Next pack.

Spoiler

HA03 6

Dewdark of the Ice Barrier; Shock Troops of the Ice Barrier; Samurai of the Ice Barrier; Jurrac Spinos; Ally of Justice Omni-Weapon

[collapse]

Dewdark of the Ice Barrier is okay, but too specific. Also, 1200 attack isn’t that much, so you need other cards to buff Dewdark. I know Wetlands beatdown is a thing, but I can just … use stronger monsters.

Omni-Weapon on the other hand is great. It does what an Ally of Justice should do, and it does it well.

Next pack.

Spoiler

HA03 7

This chapter upload first at NovelUsb.Com

Naturia Fruitfly; R-Genex Turbo; Jurrac Brachis; Jurrac Guaiba; Naturia Cliff

[collapse]

Jurrac Brachis is just battle immune if you control another Jurrac. Which would be fine, but the 1000/1000 stat line really isn’t high enough for an effect like that. Well, in the TCG it is, but for me, it will just be a weak-ish target.

Jurrac Guaiba on the other hand is nice. Because summoning a monster from the deck means it can generate new cards, including cards I don’t have access to from packs. And those are always the best cards.

Naturia Cliff is the same. Sure the condition is a bit different, but both are great and I’ll be using both.

Next pack.

Spoiler

HA03 8

Ally of Justice Cycle Reader; Ally of Justice Quarantine; Worm Yagan; Dragunity Darkspear; Worm Victory

[collapse]

Dragunity Darkspear is another Monster Reborn replacement. But it is also a Dragunity Tuner, so it is fine.

Worm Victory is nice. … except for that big fat 0 of original attack. Really would be nicer if it had like … 1500, maybe 2000 original attack, but no. Zero is all you get.

Next pack.

Spoiler

HA03 9

Dragunity Legionnaire; Worm Ugly; Naturia Hydrangea; Jurrac Spinos; Jurrac Titano

[collapse]

Jurrac Titano is fine. Targeting protection is nice, and the attack gain is fine.

Next pack.

Spoiler

HA03 10

Jurrac Iguanon; Dragunity Legionnaire; R-Genex Accelerator; Fabled Urustos; Ally of Justice Omni-Weapon

[collapse]

Jurrac Iguanon can return set cards to hand. … after it destroys a monster by battle. That effect is really only good under Anti-Spell Fragrance.

But still, not bad for ten packs. Plenty of new stuff. I now have 48/60 cards from Hidden Arsenal 3. … but I won’t fully complete the set today, mainly because after I’m done with 3 and 4, I will have all of my current sets fully completed. And I don’t want that.

So set change to Hidden Arsenal 4, and another ten packs.

Spoiler

HA04 1

The Fabled Catsith; Jurrac Dino; Jurrac Herra; Neo Flamvell Origin; Genex Ally Powercell

[collapse]

The Fabled Catsith is cute, and also decently good. But cuteness is more important. I wonder if anyone wants a cat card?

Neo Flamvell Origin on the other hand is hyper specific, and all it does is special summon itself.

Next pack.

Spoiler

HA04 2

Naturia Stinkbug; The Fabled Kokkator; Neo Flamvell Shaman; Naturia Butterfly; Genex Ally Triarm

[collapse]

Naturia Stinkbug is Negate Attack on legs. Multiple insect legs. So it is fine.

Naturia Butterfly is pretty similar, except that she doesn’t tribute herself, and she doesn’t end the battle phase. Still a good monster, as negating attacks is great.

Genex Ally Triarm is also a fine monster. Nothing super special, but he has his uses.

Next pack.

Spoiler

HA04 3

Neo Flamvell Hedgehog; Neo Flamvell Garuda; Dragunity Pilum; Dragunity Brandistock; Genex Ally Powercell

[collapse]

… Wow. A nothing new here pack. First of today. Hopefully also the last.

Next pack.

Spoiler

HA04 4

Jurrac Aeolo; Genex Ally Bellflame; The Fabled Nozoochee; Genex Ally Crusher; Naturia Landoise

[collapse]

Nothing new here either.

Next pack.

Spoiler

HA04 5

Genex Ally Crusher; Naturia Ragweed; Naturia Mantis; Genex Ally Volcannon; Dragunity Knight - Trident

[collapse]

Naturia Mantis is a bit too specific for my use. Summoners are rare, so a monster to counter them won’t see use.

Genex Ally Volcannon on the other hand is fine. Tribute a Fire Genex and you can destroy an opposing monster. Not bad.

Next pack.

Spoiler

HA04 6

Genex Ally Crusher; Neo Flamvell Shaman; Dragunity Brandistock; Dragunity Pilum; The Fabled Kudabbi

[collapse]

The Fabled Kudabbi is pretty bad. Sure it is battle indestructible while you have no cards in hand, but that really isn’t enough.

Next pack.

Spoiler

HA04 7

Genex Ally Volcannon; Naturia Strawberry; Jurrac Dino; Dragunity Brandistock; Jurrac Meteor

[collapse]

Nothing new here, next.

Spoiler

HA04 8

Secret Guards of the Ice Barrier; Naturia Ladybug; Dragunity Angusticlavii; Dragunity Pilum; Dragunity Knight - Trident

[collapse]

Dragunity Angusticlavii deals piercing while equipped with a Dragunity, but it is still level 5. If it was level 4, I’d call it great, but being level 5, it is too difficult to summon in the TCG. I might use him though.

Next pack.

Spoiler

HA04 9

Naturia Mantis; Genex Ally Volcannon; Dragunity Pilum; Jurrac Aeolo; Genex Ally Reliever

[collapse]

Genex Ally Reliever is a bit too situational. Sure special summoning a LV.5 is nice, but you need to negate an opponent’s card or effect for it.

Next pack.

Spoiler

HA04 10

Genex Ally Birdman; The Fabled Chawa; Genex Ally Solid; Genex Ally Volcannon; Naturia Landoise

[collapse]

The Fabled Chawa is fine. It specials itself by discarding another Fabled. Which isn’t necessary for me, but at least that is a good effect in the TCG.

Now to check how many I’m missing from this set…

Wait what? I’m missing 12 cards? I have 48 out of 60? That sounds familiar.

What are the chances that I’m at the exact same completion percentage with both Hidden Arsenal 3 and 4? They can’t be that high. But somehow that happened.

With my pack opening done, I headed for a room where I had a total of nine adventurers waiting for me. They were the eight, and Kurt, we took in to study on HomeBase, and it is time for them to learn about Level Up. … potentially.

“Alright. Before we start. I’m about to tell you something you will not, ever, speak about to anyone outside of HomeBase. And I will be placing a spell on you that will make sure you will never be able to do so. If you don’t like it, you are free to leave.” I started.

Yes, I know it sounds threatening, but I have to make sure these guys are willing to go through with this. Because if they don’t realize how serious this is, Mind Crush will wipe away most of their memories about HomeBase. The only thing they will remember is the training they experienced.

Spoiler

[collapse]

I gave the adventurers a moment, but none of them left. I was happy about that. I started by setting a Mind Crush onto each of them, before I continued.

“Alright. I need a volunteer. They don’t need to do anything special, just reveal their status.”

After a bit of chatting, Kurt agreed to volunteer.

“Open your status for everyone to see.” I told him, and after Kurt did so, I used two Level Ups on him. One on his overall level, one on his new Fast Mana Recovery skill.

Spoiler
Name: Kurt
Race: Human
Level: 15
HP: 570
Mana: 530
Strength: 315
Defense: 225
Magic: 230

Skills:
Card Summoner LV.1 (extra)

Sword Technique LV.3
Knife Technique LV.1
Unarmed Combat Technique LV.1

Regeneration LV.2

Water Magic LV.1
Wind Magic LV.1

Mana Control LV.3
Fast Mana Recovery LV.2
[collapse]

With the showcase over, I explained to them how often I’d level them up, and told them that at the end of their training here, if they wanted to join the Card Summoners, they would get more Level Ups, and would be allowed to grow into some of the strongest adventurers around.

I then leveled up the others, mainly focusing on utility skills like Fast Mana Recovery and stuff like that. Things that didn’t really affect their training much.

I know they still have a long way to go, but I’m sure they will grow to be fine adventurers. Will they grow fast enough to help with the dimensional fissure problems? I don’t know.

But I know they will eventually be ready to face the world.
