Chapter 24
C24 – The Group of Swordtooth Tigers
Lee Tian was unsure of the strength possessed by cultivators in this world, but he knew that an ordinary tiger could easily devour an adult. So, the thought of a Swordtooth Tiger, several times more formidable than a regular tiger, was downright horrifying.
And Zhou Yuyan was up against an entire pack of them!
Could a girl of seventeen or eighteen, armed with nothing but her sword, stand a chance against a pack of Swordtooth Tigers?
The more he thought about it, the more intrigued and eager Lee Tian became.
He was eager to witness firsthand the differences between the cultivators of this world and ordinary people.
Meanwhile, Green, coiled in the tree, was whispering urgently, “Big brother, take this chance and run!”
Lee Tian just shook his head, dismissing the advice.
He mused on why animals were so often dominated by humans: humans observed, adapted, and changed. Animals, content with a cycle of eating and sleeping, lacked ambition and the drive for change, which left them stagnant and subject to human control.

Suddenly, the pack of Swordtooth Tigers attacked!
But unexpectedly, they weren’t charging at Zhou Yuyan; they were heading straight for Lee Tian!
He had no idea how he’d been spotted, but in an instant, the tigers were upon him, not even pausing to roar.
Lee Tian sensed the danger too late. As he turned, a Swordtooth Tiger was already upon him, its massive claws swinging down to crush him.
Zhou Yuyan, poised to strike, froze when the tigers diverted their assault. She was momentarily uncertain whether to draw her sword against the oddly behaving pack.
Out of nowhere, from a haystack the tigers were attacking, a strange black creature, the size of a small cat, sprang forth!
“Ants?”
Upon recognizing Lee Tian, her astonishment was palpable.
She had never seen an ant so peculiar, nor one so large!
In the nick of time, as the Big Black Ant was nearly overtaken by a Swordtooth Tiger, Zhou Yuyan sprang into action. With a swift motion, her Longsword thrust at the attacking pack!
Her blade struck true, snapping a Swordtooth Tiger’s tooth and sending a shock through its body, leaving it paralyzed and unable to move.
When Lee Tian realized it was the stunning girl who had rescued him, he felt immensely honored and gained a newfound appreciation for the formidable strength of human cultivators. They were truly impressive!
Zhou Yuyan had just fended off a Swordtooth Tiger when she positioned herself protectively in front of Lee Tian, keeping him safely behind her. Standing tall with her longsword drawn, she bravely faced the oncoming horde of tigers.
“Run, little ant,” she instructed coolly, not even glancing back.
Lee Tian’s heart swelled with emotion. Standing tall, he resolved that fleeing was the act of a coward. He was determined to fight shoulder to shoulder with her.
Before Zhou Yuyan’s words had fully dissipated, the Swordtooth Tigers launched another ferocious attack. Two of the beasts lunged toward her; one soared through the air, reaching an astounding three to four meters high, before aiming its sword-like teeth directly at Zhou Yuyan, intent on delivering a fatal blow.
The other tiger, with paws as heavy as hammers, charged straight at her, ready to strike head-on and sink its teeth into her.
Meanwhile, the Scarface Swordtooth Tiger led several others in a flanking maneuver to cut off Zhou Yuyan’s retreat, effectively trapping her.
A deadly ring of predators formed rapidly, leaving those within seemingly no chance of escape.
Zhang Shan, who had been biding his time, had his hand poised on his blade, ready to leap into action. If Zhou Yuyan faltered under the tigers’ assault, he would not hesitate to intervene, slaying the beasts to rescue her.
Yet, before Zhang Shan could act, it was Lee Tian who sprang into the fray. Leaping in front of Zhou Yuyan, he prepared to shield her from the direct onslaught of the Swordtooth Tiger.
